### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-12*

Content doesn’t download - I paid for codes on 2 phones and won’t even acknowledge code on second phone

**Developer response:** Dear Charvey

I’m sorry that the content download did not work correctly for you. Thank you for contacting me and giving me the opportunity to investigate. I issued a full refund and have since released updates for both iOS and Android, adding clearer guidance and additional safeguards for interrupted downloads. The initial offline-content download requires a stable connection, and interruptions or VPNs can sometimes affect it, but the app should now handle these situations more effectively. I genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it has helped me improve the experience for future users.

Kind regards,

Andy

### 5/5 — Great time-saver for a D-Day trip

*2026-07-20*

Had only a few days in Normandy and barely got through my paper guide before the trip. This app was so much easier. I bought it after trying the free tour and don’t regret it. I wouldn’t have seen nearly as much without it.

Car mode is great, I loved the intros as you approach each site.

Two requests. Please bring back the feature showing the unvisited and visited points on the map. Also it would be nice to zoom in and out of the maps.

Really happy overall, hoping for more updates as I will visit Normandy next year again!

**Developer response:** Many thanks for leaving this kind review. It means a lot to me.

I take your point about the features you have mentioned. I have been trying to make the app have less moving parts and this is why I have reduced down the number of buttons/choices in the app. As I am adding more and more sites in the coming days and weeks, I noticed that the map was becoming cluttered in some areas, like Omaha Beach for example. Initially, there was only one stop on Omaha and one at the American Cemetery. This works fine with the old way of displaying the sites. As of today, there are three stops on Omaha. So, it started to look a little confusing and now only the highlighted stop shows. Visited sites still show green as they did before when the stop is highlighted in the cards.

As for the map zoom, yes, I can add in a little zoom but as the maps are only images and not vector tiles, zooming is restricted. I made the decision to use images with map based geo positioning with math to show the user position and points of interest locations. It is very accurate and is a nice guide for the user. If I had gone full vector tiling, which would have been better for zooming, this would increase the content file size by at least 250MB. I took the decision to dedicate the saved MB's into the content and for more content that is on the way.

I hope this helps and once again, thanks for your input. I do care about what I have done and comments like yours really help.

Kind regards from Normandy.

Andy

### 5/5 — Worth It

*2026-07-15*

Have to say, for $20
I was doubtful. But this was excellent. The sound design was really strong, as was the audio commentary. Audio stories would trigger just as we drove between destinations, or walked along the beach. If you’re a fan of the seminal
The World At War, you’ll love this.

**Developer response:** Dear NFHWalker,

I am very touched to read your review and I am very grateful that you took time to leave a review. This means a lot to me!

Kind regards from Normandy,

Andy
