### 4/5 — Best app in the ttrpg toolbox

*2023-06-18, version 2.12*

This is dice roller app is the easiest to use and the best I’ve seen on the App Store. A must have for GMs and players.

### 4/5 — frustratingly close to perfect

*2023-04-30*

Presenting die rolling as a calculator is a great way to do it. I just wish it worked more like a calculator, where you could continue the calculation after pressing =.

Like, if you rolled d20+7, then remembered your check should have a -2 penalty, there should be a way to subtract two without rerolling the d20.

### 5/5 — The best

*2021-06-09, version 2.12*

Honestly the best dice roller and calculator for gaming that I’ve ever used

### 4/5 — Solid, but no Slide-over on iPad

*2021-03-13*

This dice app is solid, fast, and doesn't have unnecessary features.

It does, however, require the full screen on an iPad and cannot be used in slide-over mode. Fine if you want to run it on a phone to the side, but it would be nice to have access to the smaller interface for quick rolls.

### 5/5 — My Go-To TTRPG Dice tool

*2021-01-03, version 2.12*

d20 Calc had been my go-to app for all my tabletop RPG needs for years now. I don’t need a pretty looking dice calculator, just one that works. This gives me everything I need.

### 5/5 — My go-to

*2020-11-30*

DM here. This has been my dice roller for years for anytime I need to roll irl and don’t have my dice handy, as well as big dice pools. Simple calculator format, you enter your dice formula and boom, fast result and you see the individual dice results. If you already think in dice formulas, this is for you. Also works as a simple calculator in a pinch

### 5/5 — Absolute Gold

*2020-11-30*

Such a sleek, simple little app, the UI feels clean and natural and the layout is great. This plus Complete Reference and the built-in Notes app makes my phone a literal portable DND Session. I most definitely recommend this to any aspiring DND player or DM.

### 5/5 — The best

*2020-10-16, version 2.12*

I've tried a number of dice-rolling apps, and this is easily the best one.

### 5/5 — Where is Russian language?

*2020-08-18*

Great & useful app, but... add Russian language, please!🙏

### 5/5 — Power?!

*2020-08-02, version 2.12*

Honestly really good I have a paladin that does a insane tone of dmg per turn so that helps me out cause I don’t have that much dice thanks a lot

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-05-30, version 2.12*

Highly recommend this app, i use this for DMing because my players don't roll there damages. It’s easier if i roll damage and subtract it from the enemy quickly.

### 4/5 — Would pay for this

*2020-05-06, version 2.12*

Would get 5 stars without the ads. Would gladly pay for this app.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2020-03-18, version 2.12*

Simple clear user interface, has all the features I need.
Ideal for use as a DM when you need to do a lot of rolling.
The one feature that would make it perfect is slide over support. If that’s added I’ll pay to remove ads and change this to a 5* review.

### 4/5 — A very good app

*2020-03-18, version 2.12*

A few things can be improved:
Add an option to display results instantly, without wasting a second spinning digits.

(X) = X is redundant. Don’t display the number in parentheses unless necessary.

### 5/5 — My Favorite Dice App! But one suggestion...

*2020-03-14*

Of all the dice rolling apps I’ve tried this is hands down my favorite! I don’t know if it’s possible but the only thing that would make it even better is the following suggestion.

Some classes/subclasses in D&D have the ability to re-roll any 1’s. Because of this I can’t solely use this app. I either have to switch to all regular dice or use regular dice to separately re-roll the 1’s. If you guys could update the app to give the option of automatically re-rolling any 1’s (on the first roll), that would be amazing!

### 4/5 — Ads?

*2020-01-25, version 2.1.0*

Why does this app suddenly have adverts?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I see the potential, but currently broken

*2020-02-10, version 2.1.0*

The app immediatly crashes when I try to save more than a second dice roll. The manual rolls work fine, but not having those saved rolls defeats what I see as the main purpose of this app.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2019-10-16, version 2.1.0*

Crashes on iOS13. The bug fixes are a lie.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2019-09-17, version 2.0.0*

Tried contacting support but no luck as I am directed to a Facebook page that has not had any activity for over a year. App does not work with iOS 13 and crashes as soon as you click any calculator button.

### 1/5 — Bought full app; still has pop-ups

*2018-01-17, version 2.0.0*

Paid for the “full version,” yet I recently started getting pop-up ads again every few rolls.
Like the app; very handy for RPGs. But 1 Star until this issue is fixed.

### 2/5 — Great app with slight problem

*2020-01-09, version 2.1.0*

I love the app but when I go to restore my purchase on new iPad or make purchase app will crash. My old iPad works fine os 10.3 new iPad pro 2017 model 13 os ( latest). It still does not work. I also can't save dice combination. It crashes to desktop. Please fix. I have switched apps because of this flaw

### 2/5 — it would be a good app but

*2020-01-05, version 2.1.0*

This app has all the functionality that you would need in a d20 game. I decided to put two stars because it simply does not work. it crashes when you try to buy it and crashes when you try to save more than one die combination. moreover i did not see any interest from the developer to fix it in the comments

### 2/5 — Can’t Buy?!

*2019-10-23, version 2.1.0*

The app does not allow me to purchase it to remove ads....

Otherwise, it works great and is very convenient.

### 3/5 — Needs update for Split View

*2023-10-16, version 2.12*

This app is really great and convenient. But it’d be even more convenient if it supported Split View.

### 3/5 — Crashes

*2020-02-17, version 2.1.0*

When I try to remove the ads it crashes

### 3/5 — Unstable but nice

*2020-01-15, version 2.1.0*

I’d buy the upgrade but the app crashes when I hit the purchase button. It also crashes when I try to recall a roll from the saved rolls. Otherwise it’s a very nice dice calculator.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect D&D dice calculator

*2024-01-16, version 2.12*

I use this all the time for D&D, especially for large dice rolls.

### 5/5 — Best digital dice app

*2023-11-01, version 2.12*

It just is. Check out the app its free!

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2023-08-04, version 2.12*

Great little app, does exactly what it advertises and does it well

### 5/5 — Cool

*2023-03-29, version 2.12*

I like how it shows the Maximum number. Helps with crits

### 5/5 — Wish It Would Sum (Easily)

*2023-01-03*

It’s reasonably random—more rare than you’d think—and it can roll any combination I’ve run across in a game.

I do wish it could sum the individual rolls—keep a running total, if you will.

Also, a better display would be a major benefit, so I can see the series of rolls, not just the one just made—this goes along with my first “wish”.

There are several other dice bags that do summing and “show the tape”, but their randomness is nothing like as good as Lion’s Den.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2022-08-14, version 2.12*

Very easy to use great for rolling attacks with your bonus to hit and damage in 5e D&D.

### 5/5 — Balanced for when your dice arent

*2022-05-18*

I use this roller whenever i dont have dice on me or when a die i havent tested yet seems a bit off. It works great and id highly recommend it to those who need a die roller.

### 5/5 — A must

*2021-11-28, version 2.12*

Easy to use and preload frequent damage rolls.

### 5/5 — Simple and capable

*2021-10-18, version 2.12*

Straightforward and does everything I want. Intuitive interface and deep feature set. An essential for any DM.

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2021-10-10, version 2.12*

I do a lot of dice rolling and I’ve looked at a lot of apps. I settled on this one years ago for its simplicity, power and elegance. Look no further if that is your goal.
