We’ve been using the app for the power shower for the past 1.5 years, but yesterday’s release has broken it. App is now useless (and no power shower) until you get this fixed! ### 1/5 — Real-time information isn’t provided in real time and no support whatsoever *2025-01-24, version 1.1.42* More info - still one star rating: The screenshots shown in the App Store don’t match the screens in the actual app. And it appears the times on the dashboard are in UTC time and not local times with no way to change it. And tech support/sales support NEVER responds to questions or comments. Don’t create an app for public consumption if you can’t provide support. Initial one-star review: We just spent a lot of money getting a DAB mini 3 installed replacing a simple jet pump and pressure tank setup that had worked for years. Not the pump cycles quite often and when you look at the “real-time” data it never refreshes or updates unless you exit the app and restart it. Additionally, we sent a few support questions via the support resources and have heard nothing back. Very disappointing. We will continue to work with our local plumber to get this working or get a different solution installed. I would not currently recommend DAB pumps to anyone. ### 1/5 — App not working!!!! *2024-09-24, version 1.1.42* After the latest update Dab Live no longer working. I go through the setup process to connect to the pump. After connecting pump to WiFi and assigning a name the app says Oops an error has occurred. Please fix!!!!! I can no longer use the power shower feature since the app fails before completing pairing. ### 1/5 — Updated App contains bugs *2024-05-12* Real Time Data provides false reading on Current. Seems to indicate total power consumption since installation rather than current draw. Current Day usage (water and power) not indicated Disappointed. It now o can’t log into the app at all. It just times out then says wrong email or password. I even tried changing password but have yet to receive the link. To reset. No matter what I do I can’t get an account created and you can’t use the app without doing that. “Unexpected error with identity provider” And then that seems to poison that email address. I can’t create a new account with that email and I can’t login with it and I can’t even get through the password reset flow because it says I haven’t verified it yet. ### 1/5 — Cannot Connect to WIFI *2023-08-31, version 1.0.9* The wifi blocks are blank and cannot be filled. Worthless. ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-07-12, version 1.0.9* Despite the release note that says they fixed the wireless network display, the p dies NOT display my wireless network, nor will it let me enter it in manually. Spent 30 mins in endless loops of failed partial connections. It is just an awful set-up so zero idea if it would actually prove useful. What a shame given it aims to help do some good on energy consumption ### 1/5 — Broken Login *2025-09-13, version 1.1.56* Developer has forgotten password verification token set to expire at 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the email service they are using to send out the verification emails takes longer than 5 minutes to get the email out, so you can never reset your password. And if you don’t verify your new account within 30 minutes, it doesn’t let you login, but it also won’t let you recreate the account because it still has it in the database because they created the account credentials too early in the login flow. ### 1/5 — Worst app experience ever! *2025-08-16, version 1.1.56* As the previous review states the app is set in UTC time with no way to change it to my local time. Correspondence with the developers have gotten me nowhere. There also is no way to reset the pump to start with fresh days. The app also has bugs with the UI. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-07-13, version 1.1.56* The app is really bad. It is super difficult to connect it to the pump, and when it is eventually connected it never works. Continued ‘failed’ and contact customer support. When it is finally connected it shows me nothing useful at all with the pump. Also - there is a second app. Seems a bit better but again it is not seamless or always connected. The eco system needs a total overhaul. One app that does everything and more importantly works properly…. ### 1/5 — Simply doesn't work...at all *2025-07-01, version 1.1.56* I don't know where to begin, it just doesn't work. You can't even rename an Install, it fails at the simplest of things like connecting to WiFi, now have two installs, can't delete one so no dashboard, registration doesn't work, etc. It needs someone to actually fix it, not just patch it. ### 1/5 — So bad! *2025-06-28, version 1.1.56* Setup account, verified email, still won’t let me in! Wrong email or password over and over again. None of the features in the app are tappable nor functioning. I even deleted and redownloaded. This is rather ignorant of you and I would hope you are testing adequately. Seems like you’re not. My DAB Easybox Mini 3 is now stuck with a sleep mode time that I can no longer adjust. As a result, the pump only operates after my usual shower time, making it completely unusable. Who developed this!? Terrible experience—fix this ASAP! ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — DAB Pump upgrade *2024-03-25, version 1.0.22* After 7 years my DAB Pump died the Mini 3 is a major leap forward this app as previously stated desperately needs a 7 day schedule for the power shower the sleep option is ok but if you are doing a schedule for one why not both amazing pumps ### 3/5 — App works fine, but isn’t very useful *2024-08-22, version 1.1.42* App connected without any problem to our new DAB Esybox Mini3, however aside from looking at data, setting night time mode or a ‘powerful shower’ there’s nothing you can use the app for to adjust what matters. Why can’t I use this app to adjust SP and RP, even give me a video tutorial on some of the basic adjustments, and setting expansion tank pressure? In this sense the app is useless. ### 3/5 — Quick Actions Shortcuts *2023-11-01, version 1.0.9* The quick action shortcuts are nice. Please add widgets for these quick actions. Alexa integration is broken, hope for a quick fix. Overall it’s a good companion app for the DAB pump. ### 2/5 — Low functionality and time is way off *2026-04-13, version 1.1.63* I want to set sleep mode but despite both the pump and my phone having the correct time, the app is 6-8 hours off. The sleep start time and duration don’t seem to be editable in the app either. The pump is surprisingly noisy and there seems to be no way of changing the time displayed - which is an hour wrong. It also overrides the times I try to put the pump into its quieter sleep mode for no apparent reason. ### 2/5 — Initial impressions *2024-03-16, version 1.0.22* End user here who only had DAB Mini installed in house in last 48hrs. The App feels bare bones. Looking forward to improvements and features. The Sleep mode is a USP and a good start but could do with a 7 day schedule to align to daily life and become more useful. Guides on home automation/voice activation would be useful. Perhaps more control on morning activation to target pressure?
