Unable to use App without Wi-Fi and Internet Need to add real Bluetooth support. Do it with Bluetooth like everybody else. You don’t NEED my location, you don’t NEED my WiFi password, you don’t NEED my email. Maybe the last one for registration purposes but regardless of that, it’s unnecessary for everything else. Let me manage my freaking product or just don’t lunch an app at all ### 1/5 — App quit working *2025-11-08* This app was working great until today. And nothing I do will make this app work… Now the app keeps crashing! Update: the app has been working really good, but it will not register the AC output in the app. This app still needs a lot of work. ### 1/5 — Unfriendly,unhelpful. *2025-08-22* I had to return the unit, because I could not set it on “do not shut down” via the device itself. it needed the app. And even on multiple attempts, it did not work so I had to return the unit. And nothing I do will make this app work… Now the app keeps crashing! ### 1/5 — Power off issues *2024-12-21* So this power station (DBS1300)did an update on Dec 21st and after the update if the power station is being charged it cannot be turned off!! This does not make any sense whatsoever, once it starts charging i need to disconnect from charging source or just wait for it to finish charging before I can turn it off. It was the middle of the night for him, but he walked me through what I was missing, and the app connected on both my iPad, and my Android phone. This application has so many great features for the DBS3500, which is a beautifully engineered generator. SO YOU CAN SHOP IN CONFIDENCE! ### 5/5 — Great device, and great new app updated *2024-05-21, version 3.2.7* Great device, and great new iPhone app updated (the previous update rendered the app unusable, but happy to report the latest update has now made it usable once again). ### 4/5 — Takes a long to time connect *2024-12-04* App connecting issue ### 4/5 — Pretty good but needs updates *2024-04-18* Batteries are great and app has been fine. The app needs minor bug fixes and needs an option to turn devices on through the phone. I’ve never had it not work yet, the odd occasional AC Output not updating but backing out and opening again always fixed it. The app makes a great companion to the Hardware, ease of use when it’s not around you, Bluetooth if wifi fails. Overall, it does exactly what you’d expect from a Power Station Application minus a few things The flow view is good if you want to see how your power is moving. As Someone who enjoys flow view from time to time, it’s a added bonus The Cons: As mentioned, sometimes I have to back out of the tab and click my power station again for it to update the AC output numbers and battery life. But this always works, it has never “Unable to connect” on me Additional features: A few quality of life features would make this app a even better companion. Basically Notifications!!! - First of all, allowing me to turn on and off the Dabbsson power station from the app, if I press power on the unit, it will go offline on the app. I have to manually press power again to have the unit turn on (sucks if I’m not around) - For people (like me) using this as an EPS, having notifications when the device looses A/C power would be an amazing help. I had a breaker trip, and was unaware that the Power Station was discharging. I thankfully looked at the app (about 5 hours later) and noticed this, which then I corrected the electrical issue and things returned to normal. - Notifications for when A/C is restored - Notifications if the battery is low, I had it down to 20% but received no notifications. It would make it better to include the est time remaining as well - Notifications when the battery is fully charged Have not received a fully charged notification - Notification toggles for people who don’t want this, allowing them to also turn it off or on. Other than that, I’m impressed. ### 3/5 — Great battery system frustrating software *2026-03-20* I love my Dabbsson battery system. So much that I own 2 systems each with expansion units, one for home backup and one for my van. However the software has serious flaws that too many times prevent its use. When off grid and without internet, you cannot connect to the unit to control it. It should be able to cache the devices and connect regardless of the phone’s internet connection. Please fix. ### 3/5 — Mostly good *2024-01-06* The unit itself works as advertised, however the app needs some serious work. Updates are frequent and they’re fixing many issues so I hope that continues.
