I was under the impression that I had a few other options that I would still like to see built in but now that I understand it, I am all set for now. I think Daffy could be more clear on what this does and how to use it. The feature I thought I was getting and would like to see is: add money (not considered donated yet), allow it to grow, then donate the bigger amount for a better tax offset. Currently the process is similar but the amount is considered donated as soon as it’s added. So it can grow but will not assist my taxed contribution at all. There was a time lag between my contribution and funds being made available, but assume that’s part of verification process. Waiting to see how long it takes for charity to actually receive funds now. I never used to be this intentional with donating, but this app has helped me set money aside every month for charity. I really enjoy the process of making donations now, since Daffy keeps me posted on the status of my donations and even helped me figure out how much to contribute to my fund. Great tool and community as well! ### 5/5 — Super useful tool! *2021-09-30* I try to donate to charity every year but usually don’t know where to give and often forget. Daffy makes it really easy to set money aside automatically, so I don’t have to think about it. They have a nice variety of portfolios that I can pick from for my contributions to be invested. I also really like that you do everything straight from your phone! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad security UX *2026-08-15* I love the service but the app is horrible—if you want to use 2FA, you have to use a hardware security key (no support for TOTP). Worse, unlike other financial apps, the platform does not allow the app to become [even temporarily] authorized as a second factor. This means that every time you use the app, you have to [find &] use your hardware security key—in which case (unless you carry your key with you everywhere) you might as well just use your desktop browser. At the very least, Daffy should support TOTP. But really the app should be come a second factor once an existing second factor is presented. Do better, Daffy. ### 1/5 — No customer service *2026-07-25* Daffy has had my money for 3 weeks, (since July 6th) and my account still shows a zero balance. I have emailed repeatedly and no one has responded. There is no customer service number to call. I realize there’s a great chance that I did something wrong during setup but it sure would be nice if they could let me know what is going on. Fidelity Charitable shows Daffy received the EFT on 7-6-26, so I currently have a zero balance at both places and no one responding at Daffy. Daffy sounds like a good company if everything goes well, if it doesn’t though, I think you’re out of luck. Thank you. Thank you for being a Daffy member! ### 2/5 — High potential but sadly is US-Only! *2021-10-01, version 1.0* I like the potential and innovative approach that this app has to charitable donations; however, it is currently hamstrung as it is US-only focused and the UK has a massive charity giving culture and this app could be a game changer this side of the pond. And it is odd that the app is available on the UK App Store, given it is US focused. Please allow this to be used in the UK for UK charities and see your potential be realised. ### 4/5 — Long time user *2025-05-21* Been using Daffy for a while. Overall, very happy with the experience and the price. The only wish I have is if they offered a view into overall performance of the personal portfolio to see total return. ### 4/5 — Excellent App! *2023-03-01* I just setup my account and couldn’t be more happier with how intuitive and simple the UI is to navigate. Fund choices are straightforward and top choices based off your preferences are provided, so that you can donate to the causes that your truly care about. Great work Daffy devs!! ### 5/5 — Easy to set up/use donor advised fund (DAF) to make periodic donations to your charities; low fees. *2026-08-11* At the beginning of 2026, we used Daffy to effectively prepay a year’s worth of donations to our church. That prepayment is immediately a charitable contribution for tax purposes. It doesn’t matter if you simply keep the funds with Daffy or set up monthly draws, which is what we do. No credit cards or checks needed by us to send to our church. The app shows when checks are sent and if the church deposited those checks. The fee of $3/m offsets what we’d otherwise pay in postage! Since our funds are put into the most aggressive funds, those gains far more offset this $3, and not having to deal with it monthly is a major time saver. We love Daffy! ### 5/5 — Excellent Donor Advised Fund *2026-03-19* Daffy is super easy to fund and to use. I’ve made both recurring donations and one time gifts to multiple organizations. Daffy is incredibly efficient, and I have felt like I’ve gotten white glove service since I signed up. From learning how to transfer stocks, to on boarding a new charity, they made the process seamless.
