### 5/5 — Great

*2023-12-30*

Greatness in software synthesis.

### 5/5 — Does growl

*2023-11-07*

So far my favorite paraphonic analog bass synth on iOS. Super fat, creamy, and above anything else, does growl like no other.

### 5/5 — Oh yeah

*2023-10-07*

Epic little synthesizer!!!

### 5/5 — Now Im A Believer

*2023-09-22*

As the owner of more than a couple moogs and various analog VCO’s I am completely blown away by this. Up to this point I could tell a difference between the Mother 32 and the sounds generated by the Moog plugins. Now I can not tell the difference. There is nothing digital sounding about this software synthesizer in the least bit. It behaves and sounds exactly like the real thing. Even when sampled and mangled. This is golden and I really wish I could buy it as a hardware eurorack module.

### 5/5 — This boi is T H I C C!

*2023-09-12*

Dagger has become my go to for bass lines and acid stuff. The combo of various filter types and a nice, pleasing overdrive is a winner. Definitely sounds analog.

### 5/5 — 爱了爱了

*2023-09-03*

特喜欢了！

### 5/5 — Utterly, Beautifully Savage

*2023-08-23*

Nothing else on iOS sounds quite like it. Don’t worry about what it doesn’t have. Embrace what it does have. A big, horrible, filthy, lovely sound and plenty of character 🍻

### 5/5 — Roars and growl’s like a Lion! 🦁

*2023-08-11*

So enjoying discovering this new synth; and dang …she’s a wild one! It’s my 1st paraphonic synth so it’s a new experience navigating it’s eccentricities! Fortunately the interface is so clean and intuitive, you quickly learn your way around the GUI and begin to discover its unique, raw, penetrating voice and gain access to it’s aggressive sound palette (which is delicious) …those filters are just out there! It’s a unique specimen and clearly doing its own thing (like a TB303) in terms of cultivating cutting leads and bass, scattering fluttery liquid frequencies into the ether, and generating raw timbres (not so much pads and subtle ambience; although it’s possible)! Once you accept that you can cease trying to approach it like a poly and instead focus on its true nature and simply enjoy exploring and discovering it’s wild untamed voice!

### 5/5 — Dagger is a Beast

*2023-08-09*

Dagger Synth by BeepStreet is absolutely amazing. I have so many iOS synths but this one sets itself apart with the quality of sound and the filters. One of the best synths I’ve ever heard on iOS. It can growl, slap, buzz, rumble, and has such a warm analog sound that might be unmatched on iOS. Great for Bass, Leads, Plucks, Keys, and FX. It’s easy to use, lightweight, has a great patch randomizer, and comes with 60 presets. Im so glad I purchased Dagger. It’s quite a remarkable achievement to get this quality of sound out of an app. 10 freakin’ stars!

### 5/5 — Just so amazingly fresh

*2023-08-06*

Everything about this synth is outstanding, there’s just never a dull moment.

### 5/5 — I’m in love

*2023-08-06*

A treasure trove of goodness!

### 4/5 — Background Audio Fails

*2026-04-02*

I was fortunate. I came across my screenshot reminder of Dagger Synth. I looked it up in the App Store and it was on sale! 2/3 off. :-) So far only background audio play doesn’t work (Yes, I enabled in in Dagger Synth.). It would be nice if you could zoom the app or at least make the control labels darker and readable on an iPhone. Otherwise, I’m still exploring but very happy it doesn’t require AUM (or the like).

Having to step through all settings for a multiple position switch is uncomfortable forcing the musicians to make undesirable sounds! Seriously?

### 4/5 — Muffled saws

*2025-12-22*

Could be amazing but the sawtooths are too muffled. Try making a brass with this….all the high brassy content is sucked out resulting in a dull sound. It’s bigger brother Zeeon is a lot better in this aspect.

### 4/5 — Self inflicted limitations ruin this gem

*2023-08-13, version 1.0*

The sound of the components is absolutely superb. But a bit frustrated with the limitations. Not having a separate noise generator ruins it for basses, as you have to sacrifice an oscillator for noise.
Doesn’t use much cpu, but for some reason lacks polyphony.
Because of limitations often needs layering, but there’s no numerical values display making it hard to match values across instances.
With 2 vcos + noise + poly this would have been my favourite synth. But as it is I doubt I’ll be using it much.
I hope for a Dagger2 with a better design.

### 5/5 — Quick & Spicy analog style 2 osc synth

*2025-11-24*

I’ve really grown to like Dagger a lot.
I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and BeepStreet have done an excellent job on this.

It’s very quick to dial in a sound, or tweak a preset.
The variation in tones from the different filter types allows for excellent tone shaping options without a lot of fuss.
- Don’t sleep on Spice mode on the Hi-Pass Filter! -
Pre-filter & post-filter over drive circuits go from fattening to gnarly. I love the way it gets really gritty in chord mode (polyphonic).

Modulation options are pretty lean, but are well thought out to give you enough variation, without cluttering up the GUI or workflow.

There are no onboard effects. I’m OK with that because I’m often using it in AUM or Cubasis where I can add my favourite effects. But if a basic modulation, delay, reverb appears in an update… that could be handy for live usage, or preset sound design.

In conclusion, Dagger Synth isn’t an in depth powerhouse workstation synth, but an has a distinct voice that is excellent option for bass, lead lines, and comp keys. It’s a very valuable instrument in my toolkit.

### 5/5 — analog sound but a little muffled

*2025-09-01, version 1.0*

One of the few synths on iOS with analog sound. Minimalistic but not as limited as it look and It indeed cuts through the mix thanks to the punchy zero delay filters, even though the oscillators sound rather muffled and smothered.

### 5/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2025-07-04*

IOS 17.7 Doesn’t show up in either AUM or Cubasis. All my other Beepstreet apps do. Waste of money for me :(

Update:Works after rebooting my iPad so 5 stars 👍

### 5/5 — Good Golly…if ya need something to cut through…

*2025-01-28*

I’ve not been inspired to leave a review in a very long time…I need more time with this synth, but OMG!!!!!

### 5/5 — ⚔️ im Gladius ⚔️

*2024-12-05*

Wow, 🤯 im glad this things exist. My GOTO 4 ANALOGIES in analog sound, WHAT A JIRK ! thanks 🙏

### 5/5 — Wow

*2024-11-19*

### 5/5 — Ohh , my apologies, so sorry for the delay

*2024-10-22*

Update- please convey my eternal respect and gratitude to the person behind the creation of DaggerJagger!

Love him! I truly do!

Original review-

This synth, how do I choose the right word, lost for words it seems!

Ohhh, okay, when I was roaming around the DaggerJagger,

Man, I thought was suddenly got hit by a 5 ton truck, no other synth ever made me feel like that!

It’s not fatter, fuller, I’ll refrain myself from using these cliches!

This Dagger, truly is pretty similar to the meteor, which was almost the size of mars, and hit straight into the core of this earth!

Yes, I think I did it spot on! This thing is that meteor reborn!

So, beware, buyers! Faint of hearts stay away!!

Things have never seem so well,
I have never failed to fail!

Blessings!

### 5/5 — Analog Goodness

*2024-09-16*

I’ve been on an analog synth kick recently, going back and discovering Zeeon and then rediscovering Dagger. I’ve created tons of presets on the Zeeon and now that I understand that synth, im definitely feeling this one again.

The sounds you can create easily on Dagger are amazing. The filters included are worth the price alone. I imagine they have tons of great presets, but I feel like the fun is playing with the knobs and finding new strange sounds. Beepstreet definitely makes quality apps, thank you!

### 5/5 — The best sounding mono synth on iOS

*2024-06-02*

This thing sounds so analog it’s amazing. I’ve sold a couple real analog hardwares synths because of this.

### 5/5 — Good Golly

*2024-01-22*

I’ve not been inspired to leave a review in a very long time…I need more time with this synth, but OMG!!!!!
