### 4/5 — Learn Doesn’t Load

*2026-07-18, version 1.0.24*

This is a great app that I was introduced to in our introductory Hebrew lectures, and is a good tool to maintain Biblical Hebrew on a daily basis. However, the learn section is no longer displaying lessons and just sends an error message to retry your connection. This seems like a widespread issue, and my connection isn’t the problem since the Greek lessons in Daily Dose of Greek load just fine. Could you please fix the bug? The lessons are also incredibly helpful review materials for me. Thank you!

### 3/5 — Fix the “Learn” part

*2026-07-12, version 1.0.24*

Learn part of the app with Futato’s lectures doesn’t load.

### 3/5 — Learn

*2026-06-18, version 1.0.24*

Learn section just says Retry

### 4/5 — Please fix the Learn section

*2026-03-17, version 1.0.24*

I love the app but the Learn section is not working. Keeps saying “Retry” when trying to open it. Would you please fix it?

### 4/5 — Great Study Tools

*2025-12-29, version 1.0.24*

I love this and the Daily Dose of Greek. The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because it doesn’t have the same functionality as the Daily Dose of Greek app. I would like to be able to watch the video in the background so I can study along with a side by side Hebrew/English Bible.

### 4/5 — Verses are off by one

*2025-11-07, version 1.0.24*

I am grateful for this wonderful tool as I start my journey of learning Hebrew. I have noticed these past several days that the verse mentioned (I.e. Ps. 9:14) is actually one verse ahead of the verse that is read and explained for the day. Can that be fixed to accurately correspond between the numbers of the verse and the verse studied for the day? Thanks again for a tremendous tool to learn and understand God’s Word more deeply.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone SE

*2025-10-23, version 1.0.24*

Love the videos, can’t get them to load and play on my iPhone through the app

### 4/5 — Love the app but please update!!

*2025-07-29, version 1.0.24*

I love this app. It’s one of the best for keeping up the Hebrew that I learned in bite-size portions that I can manage. Please keep it up!

Currently the app needs to be updated because it closes every time I open it on my phone. It works fine on iPad.

### 4/5 — please add a forward arrow option

*2024-12-29, version 1.0.24*

i especially appreciate the fun stuff on the day 7 (shabbat) episode.
sometimes i fall behind a few days and i want to start back and watch the videos chronologically forward but the only option is to watch (auto play) them going back. not sure why this is set up this way. please consider modifying the app to allow playing chronologically forward.

### 3/5 — Torah

*2023-08-05, version 1.0.24*

The problem with the teaching in this app is I believe a Rabbi could do a better job

### 3/5 — hebrew

*2023-07-11, version 1.0.24*

the concept is good but i wouldn’t recommend this for learning hebrew you have to already k ow some of it it’s not great for beginners

### 4/5 — Excellent App…

*2022-09-01, version 1.0.24*

Love the app. New user. Needs stability adjustments and way to slow down videos. Otherwise perfect.

### 3/5 — Love the DD but the app crashes a lot

*2021-01-03, version 1.0.24*

I love the DD of Greek and Hebrew (I even made a small donation at year-end). However, this app freezes up more than any other appI have.

### 3/5 — iPhone only?

*2020-08-12, version 1.0.24*

The content is good quality, but whenever I try to open the app on my iPad mini, it crashes before even loading up the list of videos. Works fine on my iPhone. Would be great to be able to watch on my bigger screen though.

### 4/5 — Very interesting

*2020-07-28*

I love watching these videos, but a daily push notification would be helpful in staying on track.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Links no longer work

*2026-06-07, version 1.0.24*

For some months now the links to archived videos as well as to The Beginning Biblical Hebrew lessons no longer work on my iPad and iPhone ☹️

### 1/5 — Please help!

*2024-06-02, version 1.0.24*

Unfortunately the app forces closing every time I open it. It’s a great app which can’t be used anymore.

### 1/5 — Had to delete it

*2023-06-03, version 1.0.24*

Freezes up,Hebrew written waaay to small, can’t expand the Hebrew to read along with, speaker says Hebrew with a Bad American Accent. Needs a lot of work.

### 1/5 — App always crashes

*2020-07-29, version 1.0.24*

When it tries to load, it crashes. Unusable in current state... enjoying the emails instead I guess!

### 1/5 — Baaad!!

*2020-01-13, version 1.0.24*

Can not even open the app!

### 1/5 — Dr. Futato’s teaching style

*2019-11-09, version 1.0.24*

Not a fan of Dr. Futato’s style of teaching. Mainly because what teaching is done? He just rereads the lessons from his textbook under the learn section.

Just get this app is you want to stay fresh. Don’t learn from him.

### 2/5 — Lessons don’t load

*2026-06-14, version 1.0.24*

When I go on the app, the “learn” section literally doesn’t load. This is despite me reloading the app, changing my WiFi settings and even switching off my phone. Until this is fixed I literally can’t learn anything.

The only reason I didn’t give this app a 1 star is because some of the bible books in the “latest” or “read” can still be loaded up.

Fix this ASAP or your app will remain unusable!!

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-02-26, version 1.0.24*

I listen on YouTube because for some reason the podcasts often won’t load on either my iPhone 17 or the iPhone 12 I used to use.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2025-11-19, version 1.0.24*

I look forward to it every day. Just 2-3 minutes keeps up and improves my reading comprehension of the Old Testament in the original.

### 5/5 — App force-closes?

*2024-02-06, version 1.0.24*

This is a great app and website! Recently, the app has been force-closing every time I open it. I tried to delete/re-download and ensure my iOS is updated, but the app still crashes.

### 5/5 — Great app, wish it was working

*2024-02-04, version 1.0.24*

I really love this app but it force closes every time I open it. I tried uninstalling it and then redownloading the app but it still force closes!

### 5/5 — מַלכּוּתִי

*2022-04-09, version 1.0.24*

I’m really enjoying this app! Please, could you do Psalm 42 next? (and 43?) please, please, please? OMGOSH, and I’ll share something I know, I’ll bet you don’t! 😁 Pretty please? 🙏🏽

### 5/5 — Daily use app first thing after prayer

*2021-04-18, version 1.0.24*

Thanks to the Daily Dose, my Hebrew and Greek skills are becoming sharp again. Every day right after morning prayer, my first thing is DDG and DDH. Dr. Plummer supplies the apps and I supply the daily reminder. I’m looking forward to the DD of Aramaic. 😇

Thanks so much for a great app.

### 5/5 — The Most Extraordinary Free App on iOS

*2021-02-17, version 1.0.24*

Seriously just trust the process, God always crushes it and this daily serious is sequencing the Celestial Synagogue of the Sages ⚛️☸️🏆🥇⭐️☀️🌕👑

### 5/5 — Looks Great

*2020-08-29, version 1.0.24*

Unfortunately, it’s too advanced for me, but I plan to keep the app. Maybe one day.

### 5/5 — Great and safe!

*2020-04-05, version 1.0.24*

I teach Biblical Hebrew at the college and elementary/middle school level. A challenge for the younger students is to find Applications which don’t give access to the internet or other advert content which can be distracting and potentially harmful (depending on their content). This app is perfect for them

The videos make for quick student (and teacher) refreshers or assignments. I love it

### 5/5 — Best app for studying Biblical Hebrew

*2019-07-26, version 1.0.24*

Fun, easy way to learn Biblical Hebrew. Short, content rich videos - keeps me engaged. I think you’ll love it!

### 5/5 — Glad the App has arrived!

*2019-03-23, version 1.0.24*

The website has been a great help in learning Hebrew. Having the videos available in an app is a great way to review all the great content. Thank you!
