## What is Daily Growth Challenge?

Build strength one day at a time. Daily Challenge keeps you consistent with two complementary kinds of routines.

Daily rep challenges — push-ups, squats, pull-ups, anything you can count. Set a daily target that climbs each day (e.g., +1 rep/day), or stays constant. The app calculates today's number, breaks it into smart sets with rest periods, and tracks your growth on a progress graph.

Fall behind? It rolls into a deficit with a one-tap catch-up button. Finish early? You'll see the satisfying green "Done" badge.

Timed exercises — structured sets like physical therapy or mobility work. Configure something like 6 sets of 10 reps with a 10-second hold and 5-second rest. Hit Start Set and the app walks you through each rep with distinct haptic cues for "hold", "rest", and "done". Eyes on form, not the screen.

Apple Watch native — both kinds run right on your wrist. Tap reps for challenges, run guided timed sets with the screen kept on, swipe between exercises. Everything syncs automatically.

Features:
- Two routine types: rep challenges and timed exercises
- Configurable day-1 reps and daily increase, or constant mode
- Smart set suggestions with built-in rest timer
- Haptic-guided timed sets with kernel-precise timing
- Per-exercise notes for instructions and form cues
- Progress graph showing required vs. actual reps
- Deficit tracking and catch-up support
- Optional plateau mode (cap challenge reps after N days)
- Apple Watch companion: tap reps, run timed sets, swipe between
- Morning and evening reminders
- Works offline; syncs between phone and watch

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-07-08

Manual skipping and configured rest days per challenge.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-12

The big addition in 1.3 is Timed Exercises — structured sets with hold-and-rest intervals, guided through each rep by haptic cues. Configure something like 6 sets × 10 reps × 10-second hold with 5-second rest, hit Start, and follow the buzzes. Eyes on form, not on the screen. Works on iPhone and natively on Apple Watch with the screen kept on.

Also new:
- Per-exercise notes for instructions and form cues
- Configurable day-1 reps for increasing challenges (not just starting at 1)
- Apple Watch swipe pager now spans both challenges and timed exercises
- Dedicated detail view for archived challenges, with delete
- Toggle to show archived items in the progress graph
- Various haptic timing and sync fixes

### 1.2 — 2026-05-07

* Sync bug fixes
* Streamlined iWatch UI

### 1.0 — 2026-04-07

No release notes.
