## What is Daily Pasture Devotional?

Read the passage. Sit with one thought. There's no streak to protect and no score to keep.

Daily Pasture is a daily walk through Scripture.

A pasture is where a flock is fed and where it is made to lie down. This app is trying to be both — somewhere you are given something worth having, at a pace that is not rushing you.

EVERY DAY, A PASSAGE
Each day gives you Scripture in its context, a short reflection, questions worth sitting with, a prayer and something to carry into the day. Tell the app how long you have — five minutes or thirty — and the day fits the time you actually have.

A STREAK, NOT A DEBT
Read each day and a streak grows, with a star at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 100, 200 and 365 days. A star, once earned, stays earned. Miss a day and the count starts again — but nothing you have already reached is taken back, nothing is lost, and nothing scolds you. When you come back you are offered three doors: continue where you left off, skip to today, or start again. All three are fine.

The other number is how many days you have spent with Scripture this month. It only goes up.

JOURNEYS
Guided paths through a theme — anxiety, gratitude, forgiveness — with Scripture chosen and reviewed by a person, not generated. Or build your own: choose a theme, a length and a depth, and it is composed from a curated library.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your journal, your prayers and your reflections are yours. They are not shared, not shown to anyone, and not used to train anything. Not even an administrator can read them — that is enforced in the database, not just promised here.

THE WHOLE BIBLE, FREE
Five translations, all 66 books, full-text search, and your choice of version everywhere Scripture appears. Reading the Bible is free and always will be.

WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
Scripture, your journeys and today's reading are available with no connection. Anything you write offline is kept and sent when you are back.

A STUDY ASSISTANT THAT KNOWS ITS PLACE
Ask what a passage means and get its context, how it is understood, and where thoughtful readers disagree — kept separate, so you can always tell what the text says from what someone thinks it means. It is a study companion, not a pastor, and it says so.

WHAT COSTS MONEY
Reading Scripture, your daily devotional, journalling, prayer and reflection are free, permanently. A subscription adds the study assistant, unlimited journeys of your own, personalised reflection questions, the year-long plan, and removes advertising.

New here? When you first sign in, the app now asks a few short questions — what you are hoping for, and how much time you have — and then opens straight into the first reading of a path chosen for you. No list to browse before you can begin.

Also fixed: Young's Literal Translation was showing stray formatting marks in about a quarter of its verses. The text now reads as it should.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-08

Fixed a crash that could close the app when you returned to a chapter you had already opened.

If something unexpected does go wrong, Daily Pasture now shows a screen you can carry on from rather than closing. Nothing you have written is affected.

Also fixed: password reset links that could leave you waiting on a blank screen, an occasional unexpected sign-out, and Restore Purchases showing a code instead of a message.
