I reluctantly began attending services regularly, then gradually matured to appreciate, understand,then love our Lord and church traditions. This app provides me solace, comfort and encouragement to best serve others while expanding my understanding of prayer for life events and daily worship. The app does contain a flaw that is truly bothersome. Each prayer ends with "content is under copyright and used with permission, all rights reserved"...few words to the app developers or those that believe they own any aspect of our church - each word and prayer emanates from a bible that is a gift to all with an open copyright for anyone to copy or share or distribute. I read the gospel and epistle every day. This is a great way to introduce people to the Greek Orthodox faith. ADVICE: This app should be free! You do not have to pay to go to church do you? You do not have to pay to read the bible do you? You do not have to pay to pray. This is why you should not have to pay for the full version of this app. ### 5/5 — Orthodoxy Lives Via Technology *2013-03-02, version 1.5* I must say I like this app. I used to use it daily and stopped using it for awhile. I am interested in the "paid" version and will get it. I would suggest/advise not to charge for it. Think about today's youth. They will most likely not pay for a .99 theological app. We should make this free to everyone. The Archdiocese gets plenty of money from all of the churches in North America. I would also highly recommend putting a church search option by a user entering a zip code so they can see what "Greek Orthodox Church" is closest to them while traveling, whether it is a business trip or not. Also somewhere on the app I would consider a stewardship section so that people, especially the youth, can get better acquainted on how this may benefit and preserve Orthodoxy. ### 5/5 — New update bug *2013-02-20, version 1.5* After downloading the new update the app no longer opens on my iPhone 4S. I restarted the phone, uninstalled the app then reinstalled it, but it still does not open. Thanks for the great iPad update. There is one small bug that I noticed. When I clicked the Today button on the calendar, tomorrow's date was highlighted in light blue; however, all of the information beneath the calendar was still right for today's date. It is 10:30 PM here in California. The app will not open since the update was installed. I want my old version back. I must say that the concept of this app is excellent, but the execution is poor. The design and interface are outdated and bland, with frequent bugs and almost no customization options. Even more concerning, some of the saint and feast readings contain inaccuracies, and the scriptural readings are often riddled with grammatical errors. For an app meant to present the daily life of the Church, accuracy and attention to detail should be non negotiable. Orthodox Christianity is the church founded by Christ.
