## What is Daily Reflection?

Lock your mind in. Write your way back. Mulu is a mental health journal that gently pauses your most distracting apps until you journal it — so you slow down, breathe, and check in with yourself instead.

WHY MULU HELPS YOUR MENTAL HEALTH
• Feel calmer, not more anxious — cumulative check-ins, never a streak you can break.
• Notice what's actually weighing on you, in your own words.
• Replace the reflex of opening social media with three minutes of focused self-reflection.
• Quiet the mental noise with gentle, intentional pauses.
• Build a daily journaling habit that supports your mental health for the long run.

HOW IT WORKS
• Choose when to start your daily reflection — morning, evening, or whenever you usually reach for your phone.
• Pick which apps to pause at that time.
• When the moment comes, Mulu locks those apps and opens a calm journaling flow.
• Finish your entry, unlock your apps, and continue the day with intention.

GENTLE DIGITAL DETOX, NOT STRICT DISCIPLINE
Mulu creates just enough friction to help you pause and reflect instead of reaching for your phone on autopilot. Over time you naturally reduce screen time and procrastination — without harsh timers, guilt, or complicated goals. Think of it as mindful screen time, built into your day.

SIMPLE QUESTIONS, DEEPER REFLECTION
Use Mulu as a gratitude journal, an end-of-day reset, or a morning intention setter:
• What stood out about your day?
• What are you grateful for?
• What small win do you want to celebrate?
• What tiny step will you take tomorrow?

A PRACTICE THAT FEELS GOOD
• Cumulative check-ins, never a streak you can "break" — no anxiety, just progress.
• Mood check-ins show how digital wellness shapes your well-being over time.
• Personalized AI prompts adapt to the themes you've been reflecting on (optional).
• Apple Health integration logs your daily mood as State of Mind (optional).
• Gentle reminders nudge you to check in before you reach for your phone.

MULU IS FOR YOU IF YOU:
• Want a calmer relationship with your phone, not stricter rules around it.
• Need a mental health journal that respects your privacy — entries stay on your device.
• Open social media "just for a second" and lose half an hour you didn't mean to.
• Look for a simple digital wellness routine, not another productivity app.
• Prefer a minimal mindful screen time journal over a noisy habit tracker.

A few honest words a day. Take back your peace, one small daily reflection at a time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.6 — 2026-08-13

Dictate your journal

Tap the mic and just talk. Recording runs straight through your pauses — it
stops only when you tap stop, or when you reach a minute. The transcript
lands in the text field, ready to edit. Want to add more? Record again: new
text is always appended to what's already there, never over it.

Also new
• Go back a step. A back arrow now sits above the progress bar as you move
through the journal, right up to the summary. Revisit an answer and carry
on — nothing you typed is lost.
• "Different question" swaps the prompt for another from the same topic,
  keeping whatever you've already written.
• Monthly recaps are yours to keep. Past months now live on your Home
screen alongside your milestone badges — open any one to reread or share it.
• Your recap no longer appears while your apps are still blocked. It waits
  until you've unlocked.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-06-26

• Your first journal now happens during setup — feel the calm from the very first day.
• New: choose 1, 2, or 3 questions per journal in Settings. Keep it quick or go deeper.
• Small improvements and fixes.

Thanks for using Mulu. Lock your mind in. Write your way back.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-05-29

New welcome flow — friendlier mascots, calmer screens, fewer steps.
Apple Health sync and AI-personalized prompts are easier to turn on too.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-05-21

• A new topic — Finances — joins the journal.
• Every topic now has 21 prompts, so reflections don't repeat for a full week.
• Personalize now offers three connected questions in a row, each building on the previous answer.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-05-13

• Connect Apple Health right after setup — sync your daily mood automatically
• Turn on AI-powered prompts in one tap
• Small fixes and polish
