### 3/5 — Slow Development

*2025-11-26, version 1.1.4*

This app maps out time so beautifully. I really enjoy it, but I’m getting tired of the paywall with zero app updates. If we can get iPad and watch apps along with more regular debugging, I will keep paying. Otherwise, I am switching to Blocos when they develop a calendar integration.

### 2/5 — 😑

*2023-06-12, version 1.1.4*

i opened the app for the first time and I couldn’t get out of the payment subscription page if there is a solution please reply

### 2/5 — Terrible

*2022-06-30, version 1.1.1*

Extremely confusing app and interface with no decent tutorial anywhere or explanation to anything. Difficult to put routine together. For a subscription user face should not be this bad. And missing basic features. Like…what is a sequence? What is a block? What is an activity? What’s the difference between them? Why can I see the time when I’m making these blocks/sequences etc? Why is it so difficult to move anything around?

This app could be GREAT if it just added some common sense things.

### 2/5 — Still worse than “pre-buggy” legacy version.

*2022-06-15, version 1.1.1*

Like those fond of legacy app, I hoped this would be like finding that “great tool” I had lost. Yay, it’s back!

Nope.

[As of June, 2022:] App is cumbersome, significant, new learning curve, and buggy.

I remain hopeful and regularly check App Store for updates.

Because of the outstanding legacy version, I kept my subscription going for a few months hoping it would approach quality of legacy app (prior to bugs).

My constructive criticism: Please fix legacy app (of age-related bugs) to run smoothly, now. Then come back to this version to improve.

### 2/5 — Too complicated

*2022-05-06, version 1.1.1*

I bet this is a useful app, but I couldn’t figure how to use it. There’s no proper guide or assistance offered within the app either. I deleted it after trying to make it work for a good 30 minutes.

### 4/5 — Finally… It’s back!

*2022-01-23, version 1.1.1*

So glad to see this app back in rotation again! For whatever reason, this app was the only one that stuck with me to keep on top of my daily routines. I wish it was more built for the iPad but other than that, but no complaints because I still appreciate the look and feel of this app! Let’s GO!

### 4/5 — So happy it’s back!

*2021-11-11, version 1.0.3*

I’ve never been as productive and focused as I was during the “Daily Routine Classic years”. I’ve spent the gap between classic and the return of the new version searching for an alternative. I had no luck. So, I’m happy it’s back up and running. I instantly subscribed to the yearly subscription to give my full support. Some of the old features as well as tutorial support need to be added. Once that happens I’ll update my review and I have no doubt it’ll be 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Hoping for the best

*2021-09-29, version 1.0.3*

I loved the classic version. When it was abandoned I was not able to install it any longer. Fortunately had it on an old device but was buggy. When it fired on all cylinders so did I, so I put both feet in and bought the full version. There are still bugs but there is no other app like this. With Daily Routine I can keep my schedule categorized by color and separate from the calendar and uncluttered. I use colors to separate my life work, personal, spiritual, and hobby. Emoji color bullets help keep my activities categorized neatly also. I need iPad and Mac versions yesterday. My hope is that all will see the value purchase it and the developer will continue to meet our needs. Will update as the software develops.

### 4/5 — Great design and update, but...

*2021-09-07, version 1.0.0*

When using repeating blocks I cannot delete only one instance. I can only delete all repeating elements or all repeating elements in the future. Of course one needs the option to change the timeframe or delete one instance in the event series without affecting the others. Second the calender integration is no more. I loved seeing my appointments, too. If these two features are added it is definitely 5⭐️

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It’s just a scam

*2025-01-10, version 1.1.4*

You have to sign up for a subscription before you can try the app.

### 1/5 — Sold a product then relaunched the product as new

*2024-03-11, version 1.1.4*

I feel cheated as I bought this Daily Routines when it first came out as a one time purchase app. Now the developer has completely abandoned the original app and relaunched as a new product with a subscription model. Without fathering in the existing customers or even offering a discount to the existing customers, so they could by the lifetime purchase at a discounted price. Or could have atleast left the old app in a working state so that it did not crash on every small change.

### 1/5 — Not free to use

*2023-11-24, version 1.1.4*

As soon as I opened the app I couldn’t even use it without a pop up to pay for subscription….

### 1/5 — Junk App

*2023-06-02, version 1.1.4*

Without even giving a free version or showing how the app works, They are casually asking for a huge amount for signup.

### 1/5 — REQUIRED SUBSCRRIPTION

*2023-01-04, version 1.1.3*

Dont download it requires a monthly subscription and costs 35-90 depending on your sub didnt even use it one time.

### 1/5 — Unethical.

*2022-11-14, version 1.1.3*

Developer appears to have deliberately broken the earlier version of this app, so that it "crashes" when you attempt to add an item to your schedule. It does this every single time, and even announces in advance that it's going to crash. There is a special dialog that pops up: "Crashing in 5 seconds." This appeared in an update after long neglect. The app has since been updated again with a link to a sales pitch for the new edition, and a rambling justification for putting bug fixes and compatability updates on a subscription model. Get real.

Insult to injury, the free trial is entirely unusable without going through payment confirmation. Can't even look at the settings or examine how the app will handle cancelation. A one-time purchase is available for three times the price of a premium word processor or music workstation. But don't forget, all future versions are free. Until the next pricing model, that is.

### 1/5 — Just a black screen

*2022-11-01, version 1.1.2*

Since the latest iOS update, opening the app results in just a black screen. (The app is up to date, according to the App Store, and I’ve power-cycled the phone.)

My previous review:

Thrilled to have it back

This was my favourite routine scheduling app for years. I’m very excited to have it back. There are a few features I miss from the old version of the app, maybe just because I’m a creature of habit, and this version is still better than anything else out there.

### 1/5 — Will not work

*2022-09-15, version 1.1.1*

The app allows me to pick blank timeline and then crashes. App closes and will not allow me to restart.

### 1/5 — So not free??

*2022-07-11, version 1.1.1*

Was excited to use this just to find out that I can’t because it’s not free??

### 1/5 — Again!

*2021-09-27, version 1.0.3*

I bought the old version but they dropped it but I used it until it begin to crash constantly. Is there a chance that I buy the new version and they aren’t going to drop it in couple years again?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Time Blocking

*2024-01-31, version 1.1.4*

Thank you for bringing back this app! I was a devoted user of the first iteration, and I could not find a decent replacement. For anyone who wants to set a daily time block schedule, this app is for you. With the activities, sequences and planning eras, you can set yourself up for success. The notification option will even ding you when it’s time to switch focus to a new block. I just spent a little time tweaking my weekday sequences and felt I have to drop in this review. I am a loyal subscriber and I hope this app is here to stay.

### 5/5 — Brains just like health care Epic timeline

*2023-01-13, version 1.1.4*

The only app in the store that ques up duties as the time approaches. Epic, a major health care app for doctors and all caregivers, has a Brains timeline. This is what Daily Routine has achieve, but with a lot of adjustability and flexibility. The timeline approach works extremely well. And it’s a good investment for staying on time and focusing.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-11-22, version 1.1.3*

Thank you very much for the relaunch

### 5/5 — Excellent developer

*2022-01-15, version 1.1.1*

I asked for a feature and the dev emailed me personally when they implemented it.

This is above and beyond. This thing is a work of art.

### 5/5 — Glad it’s back

*2021-11-24, version 1.1.0*

I was one of the people using this app six years ago and I’m excited it’s back. I’ve never found anything even half as good for planning my days. I’m happy to pay this subscription!

### 5/5 — Nothing else like it

*2021-10-07, version 1.0.3*

Thank you so much for updating! I’ve used this app in the past, and it’s so beautiful and fun. Most importantly, there is no other app available that allows you to easily globally shift a schedule, rather than moving all tasks individually. This has proven invaluable for my erratic work and sleep schedule. It’s also great if you need to adjust your schedule gradually due to jet lag or sleep problems.

Because the older version was buggy, I have abandoned and retried it several times when other apps failed to be as streamlined (Sorted was the only other one I found that allowed shifting an entire schedule, but it collected tasks if you didn’t check each one off daily, then froze up and required constant management).

I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to using this app like new again. And, I wanted to express my gratitude to the developers for such a creative and useful platform. I am happy to support your efforts!

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2021-10-06, version 1.0.3*

So glad to see this is back! New and improved, so impressive what they've done.

### 5/5 — It’s very intuitive

*2021-09-27, version 1.0.3*

My sole purpose for buying an iPhone so that I could use this app, I was sad when I found out about this app was stopped on AppStore .

keep up the good work daily routine team

### 4/5 — I was waited for

*2025-09-10, version 1.1.4*

I like and use Daily Routine since previous classic Daily routine. Even though there are lots of things to fix or do improve, it’s still worth. However, I feel it is still in the beta . And I hesitate to buy/subscribe. The price of one-time purchase is too expensive for the app with many bugs.

### 4/5 — Solid App, I'm Hopeful of Improvements

*2022-04-12, version 1.1.1*

Not sure if my review posted so I'm posting again

I experience time blindness and this app helps manage that immensely. UI/UX is solid. App is responsive/does not lag. A bit of a learning curve to navigate through, but certainly learnable with a little bit of time. Ability to build sequences of actions that you repeat. My AM routine for working out, sleeping, and "mundane" things can be made at a really granular level, then duplicated for some variation, which I appreciate. You can customize the type of alarm (if any) you want for individual actions ("blocks"). Option to buy the app outright, pay an annual subscription fee, or pay a monthly subscription fee.

I have two wish list items. First, I wish modifying a "planned" schedule on the go would be less cumbersome. Frankly, if there is an option to do this, For example, say my workout block in my morning sequence is scheduled to end at 7:05am. I cannot just add ten minutes to that block in the sequence. I can't [figure out how to] change the duration of the workout block for this ONE day of this sequence; I can only change ALL workout blocks in the sequence for today and everyday going forward where I have already planned this sequence. Although there is a "reality" view - the option to see what actually happened rather than what you planned - this is also clunky to navigate. If I try adjusting the workout block in the "reality" view, it changes ONLY the duration of that block without updating the starting time for the next activities in the sequence. So, in the previous example, let's say my workout is scheduled to end at 7:05am, and I am planned to start getting ready for work at 7:06am. If I add ten minutes to my workout block, the workout will extend to 7:15am, but getting ready for work will overlap with the workout block, rather than being pushed to 7:16am.

Second, I would like Daily Routine to automatically calculate when to add blocks/sequences. For example, say I want to fall asleep by 10pm. I have a pre-sleep routine set in a sequence. My pre-sleep sequence is approximately 2 hours long, but I'm not actually sure of its duration down to the minute. I would like for the app to calculate the latest I would have to start my pre-sleep routine before it overlaps with my "sleep" activity.
