Daily Scripture Reading for every day of the year, following the calendar and liturgical tradition of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Open the app and see today’s date in both the Old and New Style, the day of the week, the week of the liturgical cycle, the tone of the week, the saints commemorated, the fasting rule, and the complete Scripture readings for the day — all in Georgian. DAILY READINGS • The Epistle and Gospel appointed for the day, with the full Georgian text. • The Sunday Matins Gospel, following the cycle of the eleven Resurrection Gospels. • Scripture readings appointed for saints and feasts, arranged according to the liturgical order. • Transferred and combined readings handled according to the liturgical rules, rather than simply following a fixed yearly list. THE CHURCH YEAR • The Paschal cycle is calculated according to the Julian Paschalion. • Great Lent, Holy Week, Pascha, the Pentecostarion, Mid-Pentecost, Ascension, Pentecost, and the annual fasts are calculated from the Paschal cycle. • Fixed feasts and daily commemorations according to the Georgian Orthodox Church calendar. • The Matthew–Luke Gospel reading sequence, including the September transition and January resynchronisation. • Fasting days, fast-free weeks, and the degree of fasting according to the Georgian Orthodox liturgical tradition. BUILT FOR DAILY USE • Completely offline. The calendar and all Scripture readings are included in the app. • The entire app and all texts are in Georgian. • Adjustable text size. • Copy and share any day’s readings. • Night mode for comfortable reading in low light. • No account or registration. • No advertisements. • No tracking or analytics. • Completely free, with no in-app purchases. LOOK UP ANY DAY The calendar is calculated rather than stored as separate yearly calendars. You can look up any date — this year, years in the past, or years far into the future — and the app calculates the corresponding feast, commemorations, readings, and fasting rule. ABOUT THE TEXTS The app contains traditional Georgian-language biblical and liturgical texts used in the Georgian Orthodox Church. The calendar, Scripture readings, commemorations, fasting rules, and liturgical cycle are presented according to the Georgian Orthodox ecclesiastical tradition. The traditional biblical and liturgical texts reproduced in the app are centuries old and are in the public domain. ## Is Daily Scripture Reading safe?
