This love this app! It is so easy-to-use; easy to put Photos on and you can find dates fast; however 🙄🙄🙄 in the last few updates I am no longer able to create new tags, and is a little bit harder to see different dates at the quick view.  I would like to see the ability to sync between  my iPhone and iPad, and possibly a Windows app for easy entry. As it is right now anything I put on only stays on that device only.😞😞😞😞😞😡

I have now been using it for several years through multiple versions and increasing capabilities.  It has become my one and only method of maintaining a record of daily activities.  I love the ease of use, the fact that it never loses any data, that it has great search capabilities, and is easy to scan daily activities.  The recently added print capability makes it easy to transfer personal records to paper.  There are a few weaknesses  that if fixed would enhance it even further..  (1) Be able to delete records after printing to minimize memory use on the device. (2). Be able to specify a range of dates to print rather than printing only one date per command.  (3). Be able when printing to combine multiple dates onto a single sheet to avoid wasting space on the printed pages, or at least fill the printed pages to capacity.  As it now works printing produces a lot of pages that often have little data on them.

This journal is an amazing app. I needed a simple daily log to refer back to in order to know what was done on a given day.

I happened to try Dailybook and I am elated that I did. Dailybook is simple to use. I say again, it is amazingly simple to use. The date and time are readily scrolled. To change them is a snap. It automatically gives you your location at the time of entry as well as the local weather, if you desire. I love the format and the layout.

Thanks for a superb and easy to use memory tool!

Second day of use and I find myself enjoying using it. Like the ability to add multiple photos and audio. 
Only wish there was a check mark or some confirmation of when a photo has been selected.

It took a little bit of tinkering to find all of the features. Otherwise, I've found this to be a really good app. I needed a diary on my iPhone that I could have with me at all times for all the things I don't want in my handwritten diary. This did the trick. I also like that I can add photos.

I use this app every day multiple times a day it has awesome features and I love it it helps me record my day how I'm feeling what's going on and what I'd like to work in is a great tool for every day purpose and my recovery .. I purchased other diary/journal apps and this by far has been the best one !! I'm grateful I invested in such a great tool I love it MuST GeT!!!!

I decided to start a journal to keep track of family events as my memory is not as clear as it used to be. Looked at several diary/journaling apps before I found this one. I like the fact it automatically imports location and weather information. Automatic time and date stamps were nice as well. Importing photos was easy. The interface is clean and doesn't get I your way. Typing has been straightforward and it is easy to browse or search past entries. I wish it would have some flexibility in placement of photos. For now, it only places them ahead of any typed text. Since I started several months ago, I have found it very easy to pull up the app and record my thoughts. It may not have as many features as other journaling apps, however, it  is very good at what it does,allowing you to write without getting I. Your way.

Audio. Video. Typing.  All integrated. The interface is a bit clunky but it offers so much to do, it just takes a bit to get used to.  Not sure how much space it takes up with all that media but that would go for any similar app. Love it.

Interface needs some work. Icon to move keyboard down overlaps text when entries are long.  When I tried to move cursor to end of line it kept closing the keyboard. 

Audio recording takes a lot of space, perhaps some compression would be good. Also found that when doing audio recordings with a password enabled as soon as the screen locks all audio stops and all recording is lost.  

The rest seems well thought out and nicely done. I look forward to future updates.

I started a calendar for each of my kids as soon as I knew they were coming. It's my way to remember the good times and all the funny things they say. I always had notes in my pockets and purse to remind me of all the little things to add when I was back home and had a second to myself (ha!). With this app I have a book for each kid that is with me all the time. I've caught them singing in the car and other great moments. I've also kept a book of my medical issues to review with my doctor. Really happy with the app.

This was a great app when I first got it about a year ago. I liked being able to pick the book type, paper & font to match the mood I needed to write freely. The new version has taken away a lot of those options. Like the parchment paper & the leather bound book. The check box options and bullet point options were nice as well. They have also been removed this go around.

It appears the developer no longer supports this app- the link for App Support is bad and no one responds when I complete the online 'feedback' form (the only thing I can find). I purchased the app years ago but stopped using it after a year. There are backups but the app doesn't connect to them or find them, so all the journals from those months are lost. Wish the app would work like it used to so I could at least open the backup and export it. Don't buy this app, because every time they do an update it stops working and you have to figure it all out again. Boo! Bad developer!

I use this app for work, and I wanted to be able to have what I put in my iPad also show up on my iPhone and vice versa. Since the app is not compatible with iCloud they suggest Dropbox. Well once I downloaded Dropbox and tried to sync the entries it deleted months of entries. When I emailed them about the issue they did not respond, it's been about a week and I have sent several email and still no response. I realize that not everyone will be using this app for work, but be aware that all the entries you put in about your daily life and all the pictures you upload in this app will not be easily synced with your other apple products. If you have a problem with their app they will just ignore your issue. Seriously I suggest don't waste your time!

I have downloaded this app based on the reviews and extensively used it during our 4-week road trip through the US, attached pictures, took notes, etc, the things you do in a travel journal. Upon our return I wanted to download the document as pdf, because it was too big to email, which is perfectly fine. However, not only did that not work, I contacted the developer to request a solution twice and received no response. I tried it several times, all the while following the instructions to the letter and guess what happened. At some point the app disappeared. Not only from my phone, but also from my iTunes library. I do not know how this could happen, but the fact is that EVERYTHING is gone! 
In summary, if you want to have documentation of what you do, do not trust this app. BTW: My backup of it is gone as well.

I purchased this application to use as an audio journal but that functionality is very limited. You cannot record while the screen is locked. If you unlock your phone and go back to the app it is nonresponsive and the screen is greyed out. Which means to use it and record an audio journal requires that you hold the phone up to your mouth to speak or at least have the app active on the phone. I wanted to be able to place it in my pocket and wear headphones while recording but this is not an option.

I bought this app on Dec 8 or 9, but I'm giving this 1 star only, because I contacted the developer's website listed here on Dec 09 and have not yet received any response as of today (Dec 13, 2012). Before actually using the app I wanted to test the Restore function via File Sharing in iTunes - it does not work. I can see a backup file being created in iTunes file sharing, but every time I used the Restore feature in the app after selecting the file, it would WIPE OUT everything except the Welcome message. 
I tried several times, also backup via Dropbox and as an exported PDF file, but nothing worked. This is, of course, a complete deal breaker for me - too bad, because I like all the other functions about the app. One of my main reasons to buy this app was the ability to backup via iTunes - since this does not work - oh well. 

It's also not very nice to simply be ignored by the developer(s). I would have at least expected a response of some kind, even if it's to tell me what I am doing wrong.

I'm going to change my rating if I ever get it to work (not likely, because I'm simply not using it at this point).

I constantly read reviews but rarely leave bad ones except in this case. I am super disappointed with this app. What a waste of money. I should have known from the limited rating. The app constantly freezes and God forbid you want to add a picture. You'll be sitting there all day trying to upload it. The app actually seemed to corrupt my iPad when I tried to send feedback within the app. It kept showing a flickering blank email page and I had to hit the restart button to get out. At that time I saw my wallpaper was flickering as well and my iPad wallpaper was blacked out. What the h-e-double hockey sticks!? I have NEVER had an app do that. I immediately deleted the app from my iPad and am sticking to my old electronic journal app. What a disappointment.

I purchased this app a few weeks ago and have been using it nearly every day.  Based on the reviews I expected it to function much better than it does, maybe it is due to the recent iOS upgrade. Some days I can't get it to open a new page.  Sometimes the tool bar gets stuck in the middle of the screen.  Sometimes the location and time, which I have set to add automatically, doesn't add.  At the moment I can't even get the keyboard to pop up to type in my password. All that being said, it does have potential if these technical glitches are worked out.  Should it function properly, my suggestions are to add text formatting abilities such as bold and underline, and I would like to be able to type a new entry in landscape mode without seeing the previous entries down the left column.  I use this journal for a variety of purposes including notes I take in public, but I don't always want previous notes visible to others sitting around me.  I believe the left column goes away in portrait mode, but landscape mode is much easier to type in.

I rarely ever buy apps, however I felt that by paying for this one perhaps I could get more of what I am looking for. I really wish this also had a Windows app so that I could have easy entry. 

Also, sometimes during the middle of entry from my iPhone, the toolbar gets stuck in the middle of the page and I can't see what I am writing. That is really annoying and slows down entry in a big way.

I do not usually write reviews but thought this was worthy.  I have used this to document three trips, healthy living information, and to journal my thoughts.  I have kept paper journals since I was a child and can say it is nice to have everything in one place.  It has been very easy to us. I would recommend this app to any wanting to get things down on "paper".

One of my favorite apps, without question. BUT recent updates can create some problems. I, too, lost my colored backgrounds today.
    Though I've had the app over a year, I backed it up for the first time last week. Restoring brought back the colored background.
    E-mailed app creator. They responded saying colored backgrounds have been eliminated to make room for other features. They may be available in later updates. Over 120 fonts and only 2 background colors seems a bit out of balance to me. After the shift to the white icon (and back again) a few months ago, I have to assume they are moving towards a monotone color scheme.
    UPDATE. 7/2/17 I am still using this app. Despite my above complaints, I find a certain elegance in its' simplicity.

I love this app. I was using another app that did not allow me to export all to PDF, so I could save the journals on my desktop and refer back to them occasionally. This one allows me to do that and more. Great for daily journaling and travel journaling!

I had been using an app that I really liked for about 5 years (Journals), but the developer was no longer able to update it...and so began my search for something similar, which has been frustrating until I came across Dailybook.  It’s the closest I have found, and like my other app, the developer responds to all my questions and fixes things quickly.   I haven’t been using it very long yet and haven’t even tried all the features.  Some things I would like to see is having all the journals on one page instead of scrolling through each, and be able to insert a picture on the front, or be given different cover options.  I would also like to have more font options, i.e. underline, highlight, bold, etc. One more thing that would be good is a separate home button instead of being hidden in settings.
Even though it doesn’t have everything I would like (yet)😉,I am giving it 5 stars because it’s a really good app and the developer seems very responsive to suggestions and so quick to respond.

My goal is to write a few things that describe the day, include a photo, if appropriate, and express my gratitude. I love that it includes my location when possible and that I can back date the entry if I don't get it written by midnight. I only wish it could save to my iCloud, since I don't have Dropbox. I've been wanting to Journal for a while, but paper and pen journals don't work for me. Too much to carry around, manual writing takes long than typing, which I just don't have time for, and I find myself wanting to write entries at night, in bed without lights on. So the only solution is an app. I downloaded and checked out a lot of apps and read a lot of reviews. All apps were missing at least one key feature that is important to me. 

This app has everything I'm looking for except one thing. Automated backups to a cloud that automatically syncs between all my devices. For me to be successful in consistently writing journal entries I need to be able to do it anywhere, anytime and on any device in my hand at the time (iPhone or iPad). This app is universal for iPhone and iPad, but you have to manually backup and manually import your journal between devices. I have a Dropbox account so that's what I use for backups. I just have to be in the habit of always backing up my journal before I close out the app and import the backup when I switch to a different device.

Otherwise this app is exactly what I was looking for.

Sure this app is not free, but I'm willing to spend a few dollars for a top notch AD FREE (woohoo) app that I use everyday. This app is definitely worth it.

I never rate products because I find it to be a waste of my time and resources. 

However, this journal is the best online journal I've used and I have downloaded and tried quite a few. 

I use this journal everyday and it has the ability to mark where you've been, you can record bits from concerts and add them in or post pictures. The updates are great as well as Dropbox/iCloud sync is awesome. 

You will not regret this purchase. There's so much versatility and the support crew is very helpful if you email them questions. 

Definitely buy it!!!

Perfect journal for me. I love the ability to create multiple books. I can have a journal for bible studies, workouts, personal, travel, etc. Helps me stay organized and I can quickly type a journal instead of wasting time, money, and paper buying paper journals and writing by hand. The search feature makes it extremely easy to find something from an older date. The backup and export options are comforting knowing that my journals are safe. I love being able to export the PDF and open them in iBooks. It’s also great to be able to include pictures.

The update works great! Dropbox backup is running much smoother.
