### 3/5 — It’s okay

*2026-06-18*

The app is clearly built with some hybrid framework which makes the app not function like a native iOS app. This app is supposed to be for developers so you’d think they would put more attention to detail.

### 5/5 — Essential Daily Tool for CS Professors and Professionals!

I use daily.dev every single day, and it has become an indispensable part of my routine. As a University Computer Science professor, keeping up with the fast-paced tech industry is a constant challenge. This app makes staying up-to-date effortless. Beyond my personal professional development, it has been an incredible resource for my undergraduate teaching, sparking fantastic ideas for modern course topics and discussions. I highly recommend it to students, educators, and developers alike!

I especially like having a personalized feed that helps me discover useful content I might have otherwise missed. It's now part of my daily routine for keeping up with industry trends and learning something new.

### 5/5 — Great App for Staying Updated Every Day

*2026-06-11*

Daily Dev has a clean and modern design, and the navigation is very intuitive. The Happening section is especially useful as it gives a quick overview of what’s going on across the tech world without having to browse multiple sources.

One feature that stands out is the streak tracking. It adds a fun sense of consistency and motivation, encouraging users to spend a little time learning something new every day. Overall, it’s a great app for developers and tech enthusiasts who want to stay informed and build a daily learning habit.

### 5/5 — Great news source

*2026-06-09*

I use daily.dev every weekday. Sometimes, I check it on weekends. The sources are generally good and thus, so is the content. Filtering is highly customizable. Gamification is a cool addition with daily and weekly goals. I don’t know how I’d deal with dev news without daily.dev.

### 5/5 — Very easy to quickly manage community

*2026-06-09*

I'm using app to keep a eye on squad and new posts in my squads. For detailed reading using web only. This app very helpful for quick tasks and managing the squads

*2026-06-06*

As a dive deeper into the coding dev world this site is empowering and informing. Love it and the presidential briefings!!

### 5/5 — Highly Relevant in Technology

*2026-06-06*

One of the easiest ways to stay up to date in a field that’s growing faster than ever. Development is always adding new features to make the experience better and they truly respond to feedback. I’ve been in touch with one of the founders multiple times already. They’ve even added a new way to connect with recruiters on developers terms through their private platform so you’re time isn’t wasted.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the awesome review! The team is cooking many more surprises - stay tuned!

### 5/5 — awesome platform built by and for awesome devs

*2026-06-05, version 1.19*

awesome devs are building this platform, and awesome devs (like me) are using this platform daily. really cool way to stay up to date with current software engineering news, trends, patterns, and strategies🔥

### 5/5 — Goto app and site for every developer!

*2026-06-05*

Whether you’re a Python developer, a JavaScript developer, a C++ ninja, a Rustacean, an Assembly hacker or an FP geek, daily.dev is your one-stop-shop to get the latest news, trends and community vibes. Simple to use and brings together news from several sources from the software development landscape. It’s become my single pane of glass in the past few months! Highly recommended for all my fellow code monkeys and engineering wizards out there!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review! Keep it up 🔥

### 3/5 — Good but meh

*2025-05-24*

Not a whole lot of content. new articles come in pretty slow. Also the app annoys me to the point of closing it because when you click an article and then go back to the list it is always back at the top and have to scroll way down to where i was before clicking one. until that’s fixed i’m not using anymore. drives me crazy to do that after every one i view

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy & Ads encroached

*2026-07-08*

If I had a dime for every time I saw an ad… it’s got more ads than a third class p*rn website. Don’t even get me started on the bugs.

### 1/5 — Not working at all

*2026-06-22*

Hi, I’m not certain if this was intended, but the application is showing the online splash screen and is completely inaccessible. Your splash screen tells me to download the app… while I’m in the app.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-03-22*

Just another platform like LinkedIn feed or MorningBrew, and many more

### 1/5 — Poorly embedded web app

*2025-02-06, version 1.1*

Cheap embed, where simple tasks like logging using external provider is a huge challenge

### 1/5 — Stick to the web app

*2025-02-06*

Update:
they've removed the web app with this release. Uninstalling this pile of ads then. There are better options to learn and be in the know.

Original:
It's absolutely the same functionality except for additional bugs and nags from native app.

**Developer response:** The app is still in beta, and we’re actively working on making it a seamless experience. Native authentication and other improvements are coming soon. As for ads, they help keep daily.dev free for developers, but we always aim to keep them relevant and non-intrusive. Hope you’ll check back when the updates roll out!

p.s.
The web app is still available at https://app.daily.dev

### 1/5 — Hard to login

*2025-02-05, version 1.1*

I can not login to any 3rd service like others app it just show the browser and can not use passkey to login

### 1/5 — I find it a little sus

*2025-02-04*

I find it a bit suspicious that it asks for my credentials (username + password) for when I try to sign up with Google or Apple. Normally you would expect the signup process to be seamless…

**Developer response:** Edit: We hear you! Native authentication is now live, making the login process much smoother and more seamless. Update to the latest version and give it a try, we think you’ll love the improvement. Thanks for your support!

### 1/5 — Unable to sign up

*2025-02-04*

Tried multiple times but I’m not able to signup. after filling details I tried clicking signup button but it just doesn’t respond

**Developer response:** Edit: Thanks for flagging this! We’ve now rolled out native authentication, making the signup process much smoother. Update to the latest version and give it a try. Appreciate your feedback, it helps us keep improving!

### 2/5 — Not so good, classic profit making app

*2026-04-03*

Too many ads

**Developer response:** Yes, we run ads on our feed. That’s our business model. However we make sure to verify every advertiser and make sure we only introduce developer-first brands to the platform.

### 2/5 — App is very Bad

*2025-03-26*

When opening a post and returning back to the feed, the app throws you back to the top. The general look and feel is more like some bad version of the website. I guess using the website itself works way better.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Reliable and cordial dev team.

*2026-07-01*

This app had an unintended bug where it wasn’t working at all. Within the same day of me leaving a review saying it wasn’t working, these guys fixed the bug and responded to me.

Also this application is cool and is a great hub for SWE, Dev, and SOC Analyst social media.

**Developer response:** Apologies for that! I was a horrible bug. We solved it earlier today and hope to see you back 🙏

### 5/5 — Amazing Dev, Strategist, and even Design resources

*2026-06-29*

This app is my secret super-power. I connect it to my Claude AI agent so it has context on the latest dev stuff to surface to me in my daily briefing. I’m that one person on the team always sharing the latest stuff - If only they knew how I was doing it! Ehehehehehehe. Thanks Daily Dev!

### 5/5 — awesome platform built by and for awesome devs

*2026-06-19*
