I don’t know my way around big city operations, let alone how to operate trash and recycling bins. The size of the bins. The instructions. The schedule notifications. It’s all incredible and useful information. I have been gleefully schooled by the City of Dallas Sanitation Services. The most exhilarating facet of this app and it’s info is the bulk trash pickup. I made a pile, to the specs required and by the noted dates in the app. So many good instructions. But the best part of my new knowledge about bulk trash pickup is when I got to witness the giant dinosaur scooper scoop up a pile of my yard and fence refuse that took me hours to amass. An astonishing pile of garbage gone in one scoop! I may have cried a little. I have watched the video more than once. Amazing. I recommend this app. Excellent information. Good for your house and sanity. At one time I read to place the lids on the recycled items. That’s confusing because sometimes the lid has no Recycle #, or not one you accept. Do I throw those lids in trash or put them on the recycled item? Perfect example is a cola bottle: I hesitate every time and that’s become very discouraging. Thanks to the app, if you have notifications enabled the app sends you notifications if trash will be pick up the next day, or if the city will postpone it to another day, due to the holidays or bad weather. My neighbors that don’t use the app, be frustrating why their trash wasn’t pick up. Trust me, this app sends you notifications if trash or recycling will be pick up.
