## What is Damage?

Menu said $80. The till says $103.10.

Damage adds your city's real sales tax, the tip people actually leave, and UK service charges - so you know the true total before you hand over the card. Then it splits the check so the pennies add up.

WHAT IT DOES
- Punch in the check, see what you really pay
- City-accurate tax: NYC 8.875%, Chicago 10.25%, Washington DC's 10% meals tax, Portland's 0%
- UK cities show VAT already inside the price, so you never tip on top twice
- Tip on the pre-tax subtotal or post-tax - your call, US rules respected
- Split evenly with remainder pennies handled, so the total always matches

BUILT FOR REAL PLACES
Sit-down restaurants, bars and pubs, cafes, takeout, taxis and rideshare, hair and beauty, hotels, and retail - each with its own tipping norms instead of one lazy 15/18/20 row.

TRAVELING BETWEEN THE US AND UK
American tipping and British service charges are opposite systems. Damage shows what the same check costs under both, so you are never the person who tips 20% on a bill that already added 12.5% service.

SHARE THE RECEIPT
Send a clean receipt card when the table starts arguing about the tip.

FREE FOREVER
The calculator and the even split are free, permanently. No ads, ever. No account, no sign-up, no tracking - your bills never leave your iPhone.
