I recently had the profoundly unfortunate experience of using the Damascus College Ballarat app, a so-called tool meant to keep students informed with newsletters, the latest news, galleries, events, and more. The app is updated weekly, but that’s where any semblance of functionality ends. To call this app horrible would be an understatement of gargantuan proportions; it's a digital catastrophe. Imagine being trapped in a never-ending loop of misinformation, visual clutter, and ceaseless frustration. The newsletters are filled with outdated news, often highlighting last month’s bake sale as if it’s breaking news, while the latest news section is a graveyard of irrelevant posts, like last week's weather forecast. Galleries supposedly showcasing school events are plagued with grainy, indecipherable images that look like they were taken with a 90s flip phone, making it impossible to recognize even the most familiar faces. The events calendar is a jumbled mess, listing non-existent activities, and once, it absurdly suggested a field trip to the moon. Contacting the school through the app is an exercise in futility, with messages vanishing into the ether, never to be seen or responded to. The map function? A cruel joke, leading students to the football field when they’re searching for the library. And don’t get me started on the portals; accessing them is akin to hacking into a government database, with endless log-in screens and inexplicable errors. The app’s weekly updates seem to introduce more problems than they solve, turning what should be a helpful tool into an instrument of pure torture. In short, the Damascus College Ballarat app is an unmitigated disaster, a shining example of everything that can go wrong with technology. Avoid it like the plague.

I downloaded this app to have easy access to PAM (Parent Access Module).  Wow great tool and wonderful way to communicate with students, teachers and parents.  However there is room for improvement, we should be able to stay login, it often ask for passwords too much or there should be a function it remembers our password on the device we are using. In learning areas, in 'projects' there should also be a link to email address for teachers, just in case the parent would like to communicate with a teacher.

This app really pushes the limits of your personal device and every little detail included in the app is certainly unforgettable. The Damascus College application is fun for the whole family and offers a good selection of varied features that expand the apps lifespan, meaning every time you use this app, the experience never gets old. 

In conclusion, this is app is perfect and flawless which I was very impressed by. It is literally a gift from god, therefore I give it a well deserved score of 5 stars.
