They don’t even have all the dances. As a ballroom dancer myself I am utterly disappointed in this app. You are MUCH better off just going to dance lessons. ### 2/5 — Good for the basics *2019-05-29* This app gives you little notes on foot positions which was very helpful. Perfect if you want to learn something simple! ### 5/5 — Very original *2015-02-22* This is a very original idea as it can walk you through the basic steps in a new dance. Lots of fun to try with a partner! ### 2/5 — Needs significant improvement *2012-09-06* The music is sub midi quality and barely resembles typical instrumentals for each dance style. Shoe images do not distinguish full foot plants from heel or toe steps and pivots. Animation lacks transitions from step to step, which makes following them difficult. This app is unhelpful in its current form for dancers at any level. You will still be clueless about all the moves necessary to dance. There are no videos of the real dance to show you what the dance should look like. Worse, your dance partner will leave you after the first music bar. ### 5/5 — Best learn how to dance app I've used *2011-09-10, version 1.1.2* This is the only educational app I could find where you actually learn the most common dances you would need to know. In principle very good and a good way to learn if you are able to do so by watching a screen. The biggest gripe I have is that the dance steps are not the same as I am taught in class so not very good for me.
