### 4/5 — Where’s the Alan walker song

*2026-08-24, version 3.1.8*

Where is it!!! Bring it back please! (btw once I found this childhood game I was so happy)

### 3/5 — Ads are too much

*2026-08-18, version 3.1.8*

When you play the game it always requires an ad for each map, and when you do get onto the map, to unlock a helping path, that considers a ad too. Sometimes it wouldn’t and you would have to pay with coins but it’s just too much ads, especially when you die in the game it takes you right off to another ad

### 3/5 — This game was amazing when I was younger

*2026-08-02, version 3.1.8*

I used to play this game a decent amount when I was younger but there hasn’t been a new level since like a couple years ago. If there is no new levels, then the game kinda gets boring a bit. Plus there’s way too many ads if you die in the game ad immediately. The most annoying part is when you watch an ad to play a level that you don’t have you die you have to watch a ad and if you do watch an ad to play a level you don’t have then the music bugs out and doesn’t play.

### 2/5 — Way too many ads

*2026-07-30, version 3.1.8*

I use to like playing this game, I recently re-downloaded it but the amount of ads really puts me off. Every single map requires you to watch an advert for a free trial and sometimes they don’t load properly so you die pretty much instantly and then you’re straight on to another ad. Even very basic maps require you to watch an advert to unlock. On the plus side when you do actually get on to the actual gameplay it’s really fun.

### 2/5 — So laggyyyy

*2026-07-29, version 3.1.8*

every time an ad comes up it stops the music and makes the map lag so i lose lives for no reason lol

### 4/5 — Great gameplay, a few issues

*2026-07-25, version 3.1.8*

I love the core gameplay, but there are occasional bugs and predatory ads. Aside from that, this is one of my favorite games! The music is original and very catchy, and the skill ceiling required to beat some later levels is very high! If you love music and can deal with ads, I definitely recommend this game!

### 4/5 — Amazing but y’all need bug fixes

*2026-07-22, version 3.1.8*

This was the game of my childhood and y’all took away the best level of faded and on the spin wheel if you spin it and get “no ads” for a amount of time, you can’t get a free trial for the level, because you have to watch an ad to get the levels, but they are blocked. But still best game ever. Also i have achived it to a point where i cant get anymore golden cube currency things because of the challenge board, i cant only get 100 every 1 min add

### 2/5 — Um sir theres a little game in my ads

*2026-07-20, version 3.1.8*

Way too many ads

### 1/5 — Pay to play

*2026-07-17, version 3.1.8*

You used to be able to play all the songs for free (at least a VERY good majority of them) and now this company has gotten greedy and you can’t play most of them anymore. It’s pathetic. There’s an ad what feels like every 2 seconds, and if you watch a video to play a game, and you mess up, that level goes away until you watch ANOTHER ad, even though you just watched one after you messed up. How greedy can you people be. Such sell outs and you don’t even realized you ruined your laggy game because of it.

### 3/5 — Broken after watching ad

*2026-07-14, version 3.1.7*

The game seems to constantly break after getting or watching a singular ad. The music disappears and the level doesn’t load properly. Other than that it’s a good game.

### 1/5 — Biggest Downfall in history

*2026-07-13, version 3.1.7*

I don’t ever write reviews, but this is such a big downfall that I needed to say something. When I was younger, many many years ago, when the game was in its very early stages, this was a staple in my day to day. The game was so fun and so well made. Every level was unique, the music as well, and when they did an update it filled me with excitement to go and try out the new levels. Well, today I randomly remembered the existence of this game. I went to download it, and after 5 minutes of “mostly” ads, I deleted it.

The first thing the game tells you is to pay 32$ a month for all levels access. 32$!!!! For a GAME. That’s insane. Then if you don’t want to pay it, you’re stuck at the first level they give you. I remember in their first iterations ads didn’t even exist. You could choose whatever level you wanted to play with no consequence.
Now, I took more time watching ads than actually playing. After every press, an ad. You died? An ad. You want another level? An ad. You want the guidance line? An ad. It’s insane!

And not only that, when I actually lost in one of the levels and decided to watch an ad to continue playing, the game just didn’t render the map right so every try was just wasted because there wasn’t any map for the little line to go on.

If dancing line truly wants to get on top of their game again and build an actually usable game, they have to:

1: stop the ads. Having a subscription or paid service is normal. But not ads every 2 taps.

2: switch the model from ads every 2 seconds to one where the user chooses to watch ads to get more lives. That makes sense and there’s a purpose behind each ad.

3. Allow usage across all levels. It doesn’t benefit the app to lock users to certain levels that they don’t want to play. If they’re able to play their favorite levels, they’ll stay for longer, therefore watching more ads and being more hooked on the game, which equals more money.

4. For the money side of things again, add a customization feature.
Create different “skins” for the line. People that really like the game and play it a lot wouldn’t mind opening packs or using real money to buy CHEAP skins. It’s a game. You can’t charge 20$ per skin. Maybe one or two dollars and for higher end ones maybe 8 or something.

5. If you do want to have a subscription model, make it be infinite lives, a few skins per month, and hints and help in every game.
And if not, you still enjoy the game with all levels unlocked, but you have a few lives that to replenish you can infinite ads or you can come back after a few hours.

These are just some ideas I have that I think could benefit the game strategy and overall direction in a good way. I loved this game and just want to see it succeed again, although I highly doubt anyone will actually care.

### 2/5 — Unfortunately unplayable

*2026-07-08, version 3.1.7*

This game was my first mobile game. It was simple, easy, and barely any ads. I just redownloaded the game for fun, and I kid you not, I have watched ads longer than I’ve been enjoying gameplay. At most, you get 2 attempts between ads, AT MOST! I clicked the settings menu button and it pulled up an ad. This is 100% unreasonable and unacceptable!

Ads are deceptive too, if they’ve got a progress bar it’ll move fast at first and slow down. If the ad is a video, it’ll play 3-4 times. Many ads have multiple screens with Xs that you have to click through.

I just want the old DL back.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad game - do not download

*2026-08-25, version 3.1.8*

This game is very confusing and there are too many adds…. do NOT download

### 1/5 — Too many adds, lags, weekly payments

*2026-08-17, version 3.1.8*

I used to play this game years ago and it was fun, but just got into it again and now they have way more ads and you need to pay weekly to get rid of them. Also it lags way too much.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2026-08-16, version 3.1.8*

You can’t even play the game, the ads pop up and stay there. So frustrating.

### 1/5 — Just straight up unusable

*2026-08-15, version 3.1.8*

I have played this game during my adolescence (i am now a preteen)
And it was fun. There might be a few ads and a subscription but it doesn’t matter. Although when i tried redownloading the game on this device it has for some reason A FLIPPING CHINESE SIGN IN PAGE. Even though i played this game in china I. HAVE. NO. IDEA. ON. HOW. TO. GET. IN!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2026-07-31, version 3.1.8*

I used to play the game a long time ago, no ads, no limited lives. The game was so addictive. Today? Not so much. Id happily pay some money to get the full experience but 7.99 a week is way too much for a mobile game.

### 1/5 — ads

*2026-07-29, version 3.1.8*

There are to many ads

### 1/5 — Shocking

*2026-07-28, version 3.1.8*

Ads are stupid and ridiculous. Also the game is buggy, it often doesn’t play the music when you first start a level so it glitches and you can’t progress through the level because it doesn’t load. It’s almost like it’s rigged to make you die on purpose so you can get another ad. The game itself is lovely and I love the concept but I don’t understand why you have to shove ads down our throats every four seconds. It really is a shame. You people clearly don’t bother with taking the time to answer reviews but take it from someone who has been playing the game for years on and off: the amount of times I’ve deleted the game because of the ads is truly staggering.

### 1/5 — ads

*2026-07-26, version 3.1.8*

the amount of ads in this game is absolutely abysmal. shame on you.

### 1/5 — Game is trash now

*2026-07-24, version 3.1.8*

Unlimited ads and when you watch them to unlock the levels it gives an error code and doesn’t allow you to play the level. Game is a full on money grab now at the expense of user experience.

### 1/5 — Was better before

*2026-07-22, version 3.1.8*

This game was legitimately the best game ever back then before it got popular and they started pumping out paywalls and subscriptions. Games like this either need to die or fork over management to make it at least playable

### 5/5 — Beautiful game

*2026-07-07, version 3.1.7*

Every level comes with its own story, And wonderful music. The music composers, Lukas Michalski, and Congfei Wei, might definitely be modern day Mozart and Beethoven.

### 5/5 — Nostalgia

*2026-07-06, version 3.1.7*

I remember I used to play this game all the time when I was little. It back in 2018 I believe. And every time I listen to the songs and play each level no matter how hard it is, it’s always gonna be a fun experience for me. I will forever love this game :)
