Denmark has more than 300 museums. How many have you actually seen? Danish Museums is the checklist for all of them – from the National Gallery of Denmark to the small local museum you have never heard of. Log your visits, see how far you have come, and find the next one. FIND YOUR NEXT MUSEUM Browse every museum on a map or in a list. Filter by category, museum type, or only the ones you are missing. Search by museum or city, and see what is closest to you right now. FREE DAYS Many museums have fixed days with free admission. The app shows you which ones are free today and in the days ahead – and how far away they are. PRACTICAL DETAILS FOR EVERY MUSEUM Address, opening hours, admission price, free days, website and directions. Every detail is fact-checked against the museums' own sources and kept up to date. LOG YOUR VISITS Save each visit with a date and a note about what you experienced. If you are on site, the visit is geo-verified automatically. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS The home screen shows how many you have visited, how many are left, and when you will have seen them all at your current pace. The statistics follow your visits per month and how they break down by category. LEADERBOARD Create a username and compare your visits with other museum hunters – for the week, the month, the year or all time. SHARE YOUR VISITS Create a share card for every visit and send it to your friends. The app is available in Danish and English, and you can switch language inside the app. Your visits sync via iCloud, so they follow you if you change device. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.36 — 2026-08-20 What's new in 1.36 Admission budget At the bottom of the Forecast section on Stats you can now see what you have spent on admission to the museums you have visited, and what it would cost to get through the rest. Stats for other museum hunters Open someone from the leaderboard and you now get an overview at the top: how far they have come, their pace, estimated finish and spending. A more realistic forecast Your pace is now measured over the past year instead of your entire history. If you have logged visits from years back, the estimated finish date finally makes sense. More accurate visit counts A museum you logged in both Danish and English no longer counts as two. Museums that have closed stay in your history but no longer count toward the total. Select part of a description You can now select and copy a single sentence from a museum description instead of only the whole text. Fixes Fewer duplicated visits when syncing. ### 1.35 — 2026-08-16 What's new in 1.35 Admission budget on Stats At the bottom of the Forecast section you can now see what you have spent on admission to the museums you have visited, and what it would cost to get through the rest. The calculation uses each museum's standard price and assumes you never catch a free day, so the amount reflects what you can expect to pay. Select part of a description You can now select and copy a single sentence or paragraph from a museum description instead of only being able to select the whole text. ### 1.34 — 2026-08-03 • 11 new museums added, including several on Bornholm and Christiansø • Museum descriptions can now be selected and copied • The museum page now shows when you're close enough to confirm your visit via GPS • Fixed: your visit count now always matches between the home screen and your visit list • The leaderboard shows the last-loaded data immediately, so it's never blank on a poor connection • The home screen can now be refreshed with pull-to-refresh • Minor improvements and fixes ### 1.33 — 2026-07-30 Now called Danish Museums. Seven new museums, updated opening hours and prices, and a brand new icon. ### 1.32 — 2026-07-22 The map is now much easier to read. Museums you have visited appear as large green markers with a white outline, so you can spot them instantly - even in areas where museums are clustered close together. Museums you have not visited yet appear as small blue dots, making the map far less cluttered. Also in this update: - Cleaner leaderboard.
