### 3/5 — Almost, but not exactly right

*2021-11-25, version 12.5.0*

Been playing for about 2 or 3 years? On and off. Casual. I only really like to collect certain units and get the event ones too. But what gets me about all these types of games is the lack of detailed explanations as to how the mechanics work. What does ultra light damage do compared to med? I get one is better but how? How do I know what seal does? I literally just learned that you can filter weapons and armor by character after 3 years. Also why are assist characters not filtered by what they do? At this point, there’s so many things in this game that they might need to have permanent tutorial missions for new comers cuz even as a “veteran” of the game I’m kinda lost.

### 3/5 — It has gone downhill

*2021-10-21, version 12.3.0*

I am writing this review because I have been playing this everyday for over 600 days. I like the stories, characters, and overall content. The reason I am giving it a lower score than a 5 is for the following reasons:

1.) when there is an update- it takes forever (sometimes I have to retry several times because the update stops and does not update). Oh and on the iPhone it doesn’t always show up on the App Store to update like the other apps; it is when you click on the game to play. Which for me is late at night.

When it does update- it is slow. I have great internet- both data and Wi-Fi. I have to typically do the update on data because it does not update on Wi-Fi.

2.) It is getting harder to continue to upgrade and level up the characters. Once they reach level 80 and do the hero ascension a few times- there is nothing past it and even if all of your characters have completed this- it is still hard to complete the advance quests without spending actual money. Oh and not all characters can go to hero ascension.

3.) Once it has uploaded and updated, it still takes even longer to log in to play the game. The wait time is longer than other online games that I play.

I would knock it to two stars but I do enjoy logging in and doing the daily quests and see the outfits that the characters obtain.

### 4/5 — Familia request

*2020-08-31, version 10.2.2*

I’ve been playing this game since it was first released and loved how it has progressed thus far. But I did just get get from a bit of a break to see an update for the third anniversary! Congrats on that! However during my few moments of play I mostly saw some visual issues regarding the borders that pop up when entering the familia tab or going to check on characters. 1) In the main hub of town Orario I noticed some greyed out boxes with lines through them where one would normally see a number which I found strange. 2) You couldn’t actually see the back button. For a veteran player like myself it was nice since it’s stayed in the same spot and allows you to go back when you click in that area. 3) Last but not least when you go to the interactions tab to change outfits on each outfit it separates into three parts the top which is covered in what looked to be a white light of sorts, the middle which is normal, and the bottom which looks like someone circled some with a black editing tool but it cuts off the circle. I Love the hard work put into this game and look forward to future updates and events. Thank you!! ^ - ^

### 4/5 — There's always a gacha.

*2019-12-04, version 9.2.2*

This is a really well-made game; however it suffers from the same critical flaw as all gacha-based games—there is really no game balance to speak of, and you will never crack the top tiers without spending an insane amount of money. The game is really only fun for free-to-play if you are willing to accept this going in. Gameplay is complex and varied, storylines are extensive, and there are frequent crossovers with other franchises. But, the gacha model is not designed to produce good, competitive game balance, it is designed to produce profits by constantly churning out newer, more powerful units that obsolete the old, and unless you have those units by luck or by buck, you can't compete and you will find yourself very frustrated. And unfortunately the pricing of the in-game currency in this game is outrageous.

### 4/5 — Love it but not the recovery process

*2019-09-30, version 8.2.0*

If you get this app be sure not to uninstall it. I had it for months. Got to level 78, was nice and rich, had over a dozen adventurers nearly maxed out and cleared all of the main story and went on to part two. But I uninstalled it to get space for a different app. I came back and tried to recover my account but was expected to remember details from almost a year prior. How much iris I had, what level I was, what chapter in the story I finished last, what date I started playing, what date I most recently played. The names of the characters in my most recent party (out of five parties I couldn’t remember which I used last) and screenshots cants be trusted I guess. So if you uninstall the game without making a notes about your detailed progress don’t expect to have your info recovered even if you give them the name of your profile, level, ect. I’m still gonna be playing it despite all that. It’s a good game. Just sad about the characters I lost and how much time was wasted.

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2019-08-24, version 8.0.1*

The game is fun and the stories are good, but it can be hard to get good characters and getting the same character is not uncommon. Getting the same character isn’t that bad of a problem because the game gives you a lot of valis (in game currency) from logging in daily, doing quests, character quests, event quests and straight up giving you 11 free characters weekly. But getting good characters is hard once you have a team of rank 4 characters and keep getting lower rank character that art even worth ranking up. So then you end up fully relying on your one beast of a unit and pray to god the ai is dumb enough to completely ignore the one guy that’s killing them.
TLDR fun game with crappy RNG down the line

### 4/5 — It’s ok but repetitive

*2019-07-18, version 7.1.1*

I spent many hours on this and I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately after a few months this game becomes extremely repetitive and I'm to wonder why I should even open the app at all.
Also, if you want to receive good rewards you have to spend hours of grinding to become a top player. I don’t have an issue with this but it can be annoying that many people can reach your level or higher if they pay for items/characters.
All it all, the game is fun and the story mechanics are decent and reflect the anime. Sadly the “events” can be a little dry and I usually end up skipping the short “cutscenes”. It’s fun to play for a couple months but I recommend not spending cash because you will get bored of it soon.

### 3/5 — THERES A BIG PROBLEM IN THE GAME!!!

*2019-06-28, version 7.0.0*

The game is amazing the graphics are spectacular and it’s beautiful. Everything is ok but there’s one problem only one and it’s that every time I log in I get my stuff and all but then if am going to change something in my character like changing my characters it freezes and takes me out of the game and when I log in again I go to do a summon I get to do the summon but when I get out and see my new characters it freezes and it takes me out of the game and it’s a big problem because I really love this game it’s a game the I have never played before and when I played it I already got addicted to it. I hope you can fix this problem because this game is my #1 best mobile game I have ever played.

### 3/5 — Fix Your Storage Management

*2019-04-25, version 6.3.1*

I am an avid mobile gamer, with several other games on my phone. I have been playing this game from launch and have participated in every event launched since then. The game itself it’s fine for those experienced with these kind of games. The game is able to play itself (albeit with somewhat idiotic AI) and the stories can be entertaining if you’ve watched the anime.
My low score is mostly for the game’s terrible data management, if you don’t have ample space on your phone for this game, do not download it. It currently takes up near 5 GB on my phone, leading as the largest game on my phone. The game continues to get bigger and bigger as more events and units are added.

TLDR: If you have the data for this game and have watched the anime, you’ll somewhat enjoy this game.

### 4/5 — Needs work

*2019-03-28, version 6.2.0*

I like this game. But it’s been over a year since this game came out and some functions still haven’t been added. I heavily suggest to add in a raid function to skip repeating the same mission over and over again after already s clearing it. This would save so much time on quests that need to be grinded like every event quest. You’ve already s cleared it and chances of failing that quest are practically impossible unless you use a weak team. Maybe also add in items to boost character stats permanently or give us characters that go beyond 6 stars. Because honestly fighting quests that are level 100 is almost impossible and far too difficult for the average player. Casual players don’t pay for micro transactions in games like this especially when they have to grind all the time. If I didn’t like danmachi so much I would have quit this game the moment I beat the main story for bell just because this game is such a grind. This game could be better and more accessible to casuals if you just cut out the grind and give us something to make characters stronger after level 80.

### 5/5 — Love & hate

*2019-01-25, version 5.3.1*

Loving the game and how it actually follows the story and gives background info on other characters

Hate how I did the update for the new chocolate event and every time I go to the gacha store or even go questing, I immediately get kicked out of the game.
I’ve closed all my other apps and then rebooted the game, gets kicked. Rebooted phone and made sure no other apps were running prior to playing game and I still get kicked anytime I tap on quest or any of the bottom buttons. Hope you see this and fix the small yet painfully annoying bug, because I’d really like to actually sink my time into this game

### 5/5 — Best free to play game

*2018-11-30, version 5.1.2*

The best part, I can access everything in the game without paying a dime. This game rewards you with crystals very generously, which you can also pitches with money, but there’s no need to. I’ve seen complains that having energy is a problem but I don’t have that issue. It’s true you run out of energy quickly but the game rewards you with energy replenishing items to the point where I could play hours and be able to use the items to keep my energy up. The game is simple enough to just jump on whenever but makes you think about the party build later in the game which is a great learning curve. Hands down my favorite free game of all time.

### 4/5 — It's great but needs improvement

*2018-10-28, version 5.0.2*

The storyline is great and the fact that the original voice actors are in it is pretty kewl! It has a lot of small problems though...

Here's some of my complaints
1. The movement controls are awkward and kind of gross, maybe add a joystick or some sensitivity to how much you swipe'

2. I've only had the game for an hour and it's already taken up 3 Gigs!! That's insane plz fix'

3. It's really laggy!! At some points the game it literally just a slideshow at a frame every 3 seconds and it lasts a while.. It also crashes too often'

4. You have to wait way to long in between content downloads. I least I've had to wait was 10 minuets. I get that there's character summaries to read wile you wait but by the time you finish reading those it's only at 40%. It's just too long to have to wait doing nothing'

5. This may be just my opinion but the dungeon adventures seem kind kind of ..Mmm.. Basic. Just the simple animations, the lack of scenery between mobs, and the way you fight the monsters is a little boring'

But besides the New Game Problems it looks like it will be a good game as long as there are a lot of updates!!
Keep up the good work! 🦑

### 3/5 — Power creep ever increasing

*2018-08-12, version 4.2.0*

This game was awesome when it came out but as the game continues it feel like it becomes harder and harder to get through war games and record buster. New units become increasingly better and units you may be investing in have slowly becomes obsolete. Chigusa and Fells were once top level supports and now they’re barely able to perform their roles. Top level attackers like SP Ais and Ottarl get left behind by better attackers and so on. While pve is fairly beatable for most content with old units, when you start accounting for leaderboards and pvp it becomes apparent how far behind you are in terms of your units if you happen to be a free to play or low spending player. There just isn’t enough bond items to get units to full merges faster that by the time you do max limit break a character they’re already obsolete in pvp.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible lack of support

*2021-05-11, version 11.0.0*

Either take constant screen shots of your game so you have evidence that your account exist or don’t bother downloading this game. If your data ever gets corrupted or you have to reinstall you’re screwed out of all your effort you put into the game. The support for this game is worse than Comcast, they want to know when you started playing, when you stopped , what your current team was when you stopped, how much iris you had , etc everything besides your social security number. Absolute train wreck of a support team , so irritated with them I’ve deleted the game until they give me my account back , which I spend around $50 on.
Loved playing this game and collecting the different characters but just disappointed with the support team. The devs must want the player base to dwindle cause the lack of help you receive is proof of that .

### 1/5 — To much grinding, low rates, and $$$ sink

*2018-04-25, version 3.1.4*

As someone who subscribes to Crunchyroll for anime I had high hopes for this game. Unfortunately what I got was an insanely grinding oriented game that is a total money sink. If you look at the shop they even have tiers for buying in game currency at $80. The sad part is that only gives you a 4% or less chance at getting 4 star characters. It’s designed to eat your money. Even within the 4% chance, which rarely happens, your chance at most 4 star characters is .004 within that. Oh, and let’s not forget that to max that character out you have to pull them 6 times total. If you look at the game leader boards it it totally pay-to-win. Sad because the game itself is good and has a lot of potential. I have even spend $$$ on the game only to get nothing out of it. Personally I would find a more reasonably priced game. This one too much resembles the Battlefront 2 EA system that would cost players thousands of dollars when it first game out because it is all luck based.

### 1/5 — False Advertisement

*2018-04-18, version 3.1.4*

The touching feature completely removed from the game in the English version, even though it was advertised, and Crunchyroll themselves stated the game was not censored. They lied plain and simple. Also their reasoning was paradoxical. Because apparently the touching feature was “inappropriate for english audiences”, to get the gist of it. But what is funny is that Crunchyroll subbed the episodes of Danmachi, the anime this game was based on, and didn’t censor that as well, keeping all the “inappropriate” scenes intact. It makes no sense. I’m pretty sure that if a mature audience watches the anime, which is OBVIOUSLY not for children, I’m sure no one without mental maturity would play this game, also are you trying to suggest that the feature is appropriate for the Japanese but not for us as well? How insulting. Everyone should get the same game. I canceled my premium subscription on Crunchyroll, I’m just going to watch anime on much, much better alternatives. Of course no one cares if I, a single man am outraged. The wheel will keep turning, however I am not the only one. I can’t wait for Crunchyroll to receive their retribution for their lies.

### 1/5 — Lost Everything

*2018-04-14, version 3.1.4*

So in my head I thought, like most online IOS games, that I would keep my stuff when I uninstalled and reinstalled. Nope. You have to manually save your data through a data import system that is never brought up in the game or anytime while going through settings. No it just has a tab for you to use and I assumed it was for if you changed phones or something but no, it’s also, with no information telling you this beforehand, the way you save all your data for when you don’t have the game.

So safe to say I will never be playing this game again because there is no point now that everything is gone.

Word of advice to the developer. Maybe put an extra dialogue or tutorial saying, “Hey, if for some reason you want to uninstall your game or are changing phones, don’t forget to use Data Import to make sure you keep all progress”.

Good game while it lasted though. I won’t sully the rating I have for this game just because of losing data. But I feel 1 star should be taken just because I’m still kind of irritated.

Edit: So after doing a little searching to maybe fix my problem I stumbled across some things about this localization that will keep me away from this game permanently. Safe to say that I don’t support lying, false advertisement, and censorship.

### 1/5 — Why is it so bad

*2018-04-04, version 3.1.0*

The game really feels like a video that occasionally freezes randomly and needs me to touch the screen to continue it. It freezes whenever enemies die, and other things with no visual indication for input. I dont find it fun, the game takes up about 3GB after installing it, everytime I "play" the game it installs and takes up even more space. I dont get any of the character upgrades that are available and i dont get what the enemys even drop. This might have been a good game if it was executed better. And the dialogue. Its done so poorly it dont even bother to read it because my reading level is many times faster than the text is loaded. Sometimes its just 30 seconds of cringy moaning. So there's two types of characters, fighers that you can have moves for, and supporters. I have no clue what supporters do. I have no clue what strength and other stats the characters have do. Its just so bad

### 2/5 — Good stories written by original author, bland gameplay, awful rates

*2022-06-26, version 13.3.0*

Title says it all. Best part of the game is that the stories are pretty decent and written by the author of the novels. They’re formulaic but add to the lore of the world, which is interesting if you buy into it. However, the gameplay is super bland. Do the same things over and over again. War Game. Record Breaker. Seventh Zone. There’s a new mode but it’s just a modified War Games with mediocre rewards. Maybe get some EXP books or falna when you get low. I played this for years, stopped, and came back and virtually nothing has changed. Rates are still as awful as ever and prices are still insane - you need 5 copies of a single character to use them for endgame content and if you aren’t lucky with your free currency, it’s $20 a copy. Power creep is pretty intense and scares away a lot of new players. I ended up deleting the game again since there’s nothing new after a 2 year break.

### 2/5 — It’s trash, a waste of your time and money

*2020-11-24, version 10.4.6*

Honestly, I play a lot of gacha games. This one has me at my wits end with the power creep. While sure every once in a while a slight buff to characters is good, but not to the extent this game has. Every month or they add new broken characters that no others could compare to. You have to spend hundreds of dollars every three months to even stay in the higher rankings. For recent example, Ottarl to start, then a month or two later we have Alise then almost immediately afterwards characters have two attacks per turn. Finally now, with season three of the anime out they added some of the characters, which Lyd specifically has damage like no other. Only two limit break and max hero ascend destroying the entirety of my team of above 3 limit break and max hero ascend. While my character at max limit break and full hero ascend and all buffs and weapons matching up to deal tons of damage, only does about 3k per turn. While Lyd at two limit break and max hero ascend can do about 7k. Unless devs were to fix this this game is just a lost cause. While I’d hate to say it they’re “money thirsty”.

### 2/5 — Don’t lose your migration ID!

*2020-11-12, version 10.4.4*

I played for over a year, I lost my migration ID i had written down in a move. I have gave them everything I could from characters I had in my party, order numbers, my Apple ID, my old migration ID, the model of both phones I had used on the account, anything you could think of to prove it was my account. They wouldn’t give me back my account because I couldn’t remember how much iris I had, the last date I opened the game, or the exact main story progress I had. Keep in mind it’s been over a year since the last time I played and it’s hard to remember exact numbers from over a year ago. It’s a good game, but the company refuses to give back accounts now if you lose your account information. So keep track of everything! There’s over 14 questions to get an account back even if you paid money and have order numbers, they don’t care.

### 2/5 — Was a great game but i lost all my progress

*2020-04-25, version 9.7.2*

i had spent a lot of time on this game and really enjoyed it. i had gotten really far in the story and had some really rare and high level characters, but all of that was lost when my phone broke and i had to get a new one. when i installed it on my new phone i had none of my progress and i tried recovering it using apple id but it just tried restoring a new account instead of mine. i was very sad to see all of my progress go and i really don’t feel like restarting from the beginning. if anyone can help me get my stuff back that’s would be much appreciated

i tried to get my progress back through the website but i was unable to because i had to remember the exact player id and transfer id which i think is quite unreasonable

### 2/5 — Game is fun but support can be improved

*2019-04-16, version 6.2.1*

Been playing since the early release days where you can basically win almost all matches with just lefiya

I’m reviewing the game as around 3-4 stars but putting down a couple notches....if you love danmachi then you’ll spend a good amount of time with this game with a huge array of characters and easy to somewhat challenging battles.

For you to be able to even compete with other players tho getting the limited edition or event characters from free summons isn’t enough cause you need multiple of them to max them out where they really shine and that’s where you either hit the paywall or get grindy too much on repetitive quests which has no multiple auto battles.

This game runs on generating an ID for you at the start and you’re required to remember this, nowadays google play and Game Center accounts serves as your “login”account to most games but danmachi isn’t one of them...you have to manually import your game (which the game doesn’t remind you btw) and you have to do this in settings which nobody usually looks anyway and that’s where you either login on facebook or import the data and forced to remember another ID...so you have to remember TWO randomly generated IDs just for this which is very 2016 don’t you think.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Danmachi Memoria Freese is a great game! (But be Careful)

*2021-09-23, version 12.2.4*

This is easily one of the best Gatcha games I have ever played. Great IP, amazing side stories, killer anniversary and holiday events. Complex systems with buffs and debuffs. Has been my go to game for almost a year now and I haven’t missed a day.

That said, it’s still a Gatcha game and I have most certainly not been free to play. I have easily spent thousands on the game in the year that I have played trying to catch up and get viable MLB MHA elemental teams in each variety. I am also in one of the top 10 Familias so that has contributed to the pressure, but bottom line is, do not expect to be able to do everything the game throws at you unless you spend some serious cash.

I love Danmachi and so supporting the game is easily the best way I can show my support for the series, and honestly, the team that runs the game is very generous with gifts. But it’s still a Gatcha game, and it’s still trying to make money. So be careful.

Enjoy Danmachi Memoria Freese :)

### 5/5 — A genuinely good game

*2021-07-29, version 12.1.2*

I’ve been playing this game for a year now and this is the only gacha/anime game that I’ve been able to continue to play without having to feel like playing is a chore. The events are top tier and you can tell the devs have put a lot of effort and work into making them enjoyable and to keep the game interesting. The gacha system is the most generous I’ve seen where you can almost guarantee a character you want without breaking the bank just to get a single copy of your waifu. The art is one of the few where the characters look identical to how they do in the anime and you can tell how much effort was put into creating them. The addition of mechanics such as skill flow have also greatly improved the flow and pace of the game from when I first started a year ago and make it so I don’t have to invest so much time to do things manually. All in all from the mechanics, to the art style, to the writing and story telling of the events this game I would say ranks highly in all aspects and would recommend to anyone who enjoys gacha or the anime in general.

### 5/5 — Getting trollled

*2021-04-14, version 10.9.1*

Great game great show but I’m playing the strike the blood event and it’s getting me maaaddd, i know it’s not something that can really be controlled but can’t help but think someone is pressing a button. So far I’ve been lucky enough to get most of the event characters except “la foila” (or something never what “strike the blood” I’m pulling up on the 11th pull guarantee and still haven’t gotten her but duplets of most everything else but the real part that gets me is I’m trying to get there personal weapons and it giving nothing but the freaking gun. 5! Of them have been pulled and I can’t even put it with the character because it’s bouncing around it. Trolling 101 can’t help but feel that way getting the weapon to the only character that I don’t have guuhhh

### 5/5 — From the beginning

*2020-08-16, version 10.2.0*

I’ve been playing the game almost since it came out in the US. I can honestly say the energy consumption is low and layout of the game are pretty intuitive. There’s no ads that I’ve seen in that whole time and you can even skip or replay any cutscene. Overall a relaxing game with fun stories about the manga/anime. Super fun when the events were timed with the release of each new episode. Plus tons of crossover events too!

Now the money review...it’s ridiculously expensive to get any of the (paid) iris. You’re looking to shell out around $40 unless you get a special bundle so you can spin a gacha 1 time. You need the same character 6 times to max the lvl. There are generally 6 or so characters released a month. I’ve legitimately wanted to send money to the developers before, but there’s no point to spending money on this game unless you’re dropping $400+ every monthly event and that will only get you around a 50% chance of getting the person you want enough times to max it. Soooo you generally don’t have to worry about a regular person showing up and paying to beat you.

Really have enjoyed it.

### 5/5 — Addicted to this game!

*2020-01-23, version 9.4.0*

I have been a fan of the show for a little while and stumbled upon this game a few weeks ago. Ever sense my friends and I have been playing nonstop. The game is similar in gameplay mechanics to Nintendos Fire Emblem mobile app but rather than hustling you with micro-transactions, this game leaves you plenty to do a few weeks in and gives you enough free currency from completing tasks as to not pressure you into buying anything to continue having fun. The only things I would want to see change for player convenience would be that when opening pages to browse through characters, shops and episodes, the page after refreshing, takes you back to the top rather than where you left off. (I.e If I’m midway on episode 21 and then beat quest 21-1, The screen will automatically scroll back up to episode 32, causing me each time to have to annoyingly scroll back down to 21 to complete the rest of the quest list), and also adding an auto skip option for quests that have already been S cleared. I’ve seen this implemented in much older games of this genre and would love to not have to sit through a 30 second fight sequence when I’m grinding for items, but everything else about this game has proven to keep me coming back despite the minor issues! I have been recommending this game to friends left and right!

### 5/5 — FAVORITE FRANCHISE AND MOBILE GAME

*2020-01-16, version 9.4.0*

I’ve been playing danmemo for the past 6th months and I cannot get enough of it. I’ve played many mobile gacha games and this one is definitely my favorite by far. I cannot believe how much work the develops constantly put into the game with updated content every week or 2 with new events and great stories along with it. Not to mention, the amazing art that comes along with all the units. Even if you have completed all of the quests to attain iris, the developers make sure that you are still able to get iris and pull on new gacha units. Some may say that it is hard to compete with paid players, but compared to other gacha games danmemo is very generous with the iris and you can compete with paid players pretty easily depending on your team build. One thing that I have noticed with danmemo compared to other gacha games is just how easy it is on the eyes. Other games such as bleach brave souls uses a lot of flashy lights and hard to stare at for long periods of time, but danmemo is the exact opposite. I loveeeee the Danmachi franchise and I belive that it has so much potential And is highly underrated. I cannot wait for season 3 !!!

### 5/5 — Good game

*2019-07-20, version 7.1.1*

This game is really good and it seems easy and doesn’t feel like a pay to win game but what I would like is to somehow save your data like Game Center or to I cloud or something only way to save your data is by transferring your data to a new phone but if u delete on the phone you are using you will start over if that can be fixed I would love it also , there is this bug when it will also say lost connection to server but everything is good my WiFi and connection but it says that from time to time and is a little annoying, hopefully it can be fix but other then that this game a really good and can’t wait for more content in the future

### 5/5 — The best app game

*2019-07-18, version 7.1.1*

This is by far my favorite app game I’ve played - and I have played dozens over the years. The events and voice acting that are constantly added create such an amazing world for just an app game, and it made me appreciate Danmachi far more than when I saw the first season. While it held a specula place in my heart then, the app game truly cemented its place as an all time favorite. I recommend this game to anyone - long before I ever spent money on Danmachi I was already placing in the top 500 players in arena and record buster. It is easy to progress and get good units in this game - they practically throw currency your way - especially when you’re new.

### 5/5 — My Favorite Gacha/Anime Game

*2019-05-25, version 6.4.0*

I’ve been meaning to write a review for months now, and it’s about time I did. I’ve been with the game for a year now (ever since the 2018 Summer Event and I’m a free to play player). The game is really fun to play. In the beginning the game is a little slow because of the tutorial and you constantly running out of stamina, and earning iris to pull for newer units can hard to come by once you first start. This struggle doesn’t last for long however. They’re always releasing newer units, and the units are never too overpowered. The devs also make it easy to earn iris by doing daily quests, and special bonuses when they’re running a special event (you’ll definitely want to participate). If you’re looking for a game to just enjoy because you watched the anime/read the manga then this is the game for you.

### 5/5 — More than a game....

*2019-04-10, version 6.2.1*

I just had to take the time to write this review after playing chapter 46 of the Danmachi/Date-A-Live crossover. This is more than just a review about the game itself....I am more impressed with the all the new content & stories that the game creators add that help the world & characters of Danmachi to grow & feel more than just your run of the mill fan service anime series when I saw it on Crunchyroll. I have to especially give praise to the voice actors (seiyuu) more than anything else. They give great performances that give 2-dimensional characters with no movement more depth than some 3-dimensional actors in most Hollywood movies I’ve seen lately! I’ve only spent about $10 over the past year on the in-app purchases and wish I could give more to help support the development of the game, but my current financial situation makes that complicated. I do wish it were easier to get the more stronger characters with out spending too much money on Iris (even though I was able to get Eren during the Attack on Titan crossover without spending much money and he’s the strongest character I have). Despite that, I will continue to support this game (as well as the 2nd season of the anime) as much as I can in the meantime and I look forward to more new game content in the future!
