Also, the UI is messed up so it blocks the bottom of the point selection and there are many weird visual anomolies

Danmaku Unlimited 2 is one of the best shoot-em-up games to be found on the App Store. The game mechanics are simple but reward skillful gameplay, the enemy attack patterns are intense and challenge the player in numerous ways, and it is very pleasant to listen to and look at.

My complaints, though, would be that at 5 stages, it's shorter than many other shmups and leaves me feeling dissatisfied, and although the visuals are crisp and the music is energetic, the lack of aesthetic variety make the stages and bosses seem like they're blending into each other. It almost but not quite feels like a complete product.

That having been said, DU2 is still an excellent deal at its price point and is a great buy for anyone looking for an engaging shmup experience.

Paid for this app and it won't run at all. Every time I try to start any mode it crashes.

This is a really cool and stylish bullet hell game and I enjoyed it a lot when I got it 9 years ago...
But now it does not work on modern hardware and has severe problems showing random stuff on the transparent parts of all the sprites, turning it into a garbled mess. It looks like it's been years since anything was updated so keep looking elsewhere

A great soundtrack from Blankfield, beautiful bullet hell SHMUP action, tight controls and no ads.. just one flat fee for uninterrupted gameplay. Perfection!

The swipe and drag controls feel totally natural. The only thing holding it back is that your thumb sometimes covers your ship, making tight manoeuvres in the bottom right corner tricky.
