The Integrated Transport Centre(ITC) presents the new update of Darbi application for Abu Dhabi residents and visitors. Darbi Mobile provides an “Intelligent Transport System in the palm of your hand”. The application requires at least 3G network or Wi-Fi access. For many of the system functions, an access to GPS location information on the smartphone is also required. Darbi app provides the users with live data on traffic conditions, traffic incidents and road works in Abu Dhabi. In addition, it provides access to road service patrol. Users can also plan journey around Abu Dhabi city and get real time information of Bus schedules and facilitate Toping up Hafilat Card. The app also enables users to book a taxi, pay for on-street Mawaqif parking, and obtain ferry schedule information. I appreciate it’s ability to tell me where the bust stops are, how long it would take to get there and so forth. But for planning ahead this app is nearly worthless. Anyone who uses the bus plans ahead, obviously, yet this app makes that so difficult with so much guess work or the planning features completely useless. Please improve. This app has the potential to be an indispensable aid when using public transportation. I’d even be willing to pay. ### 1/5 — Good attempt *2019-03-15* At 1st glance this appears to be a useful app. But unfortunately only at 1st glance. When trying to search places, buildings it cannot find anything. It won’t save any routes or places. This app needs to employ google maps to be of any use at all. On the plus side, if you use in conjunction with google maps then you can work out bus stops which for some reason are not in google maps. 1 star for now. Let hope it gets better ### 1/5 — Inaccurate *2018-05-09* Bus timings in the app are very confusing. One second you see the bus is 5 more minutes then next thing you know the bus has left the station already. Not very helpful. Please improve on this. ### 1/5 — mobile number doesnt work *2018-03-16* i use virgin mobile as my wireless carrier. i've been trying to register my phone number, but it keeps showing the error "the mobile number format is incorrect." i've entered every combination of my mobile number and still doesn't work. ### 1/5 — Sluggish *2017-08-27* I was so excited to see that it has an app for the Apple Watch but then when I used it, it didn't work at all. At first I thought it was the initial sync but then I relaunched it and it was the same. Boot up screen took so long and I was introduced to two buttons. One tells me road closures (that one worked as programmed) but then the other (which was the most important) crashed on launch. I was supposed to see the bus timings through that option but whenever I tap on a location, it jjst crashed. Hopefully it gets fixed cause it will be really helpful to have it at a ready whenever I'm out without the need to pull my phone out. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate Bus times! The road closure, accidents or disabled vehicles update feature make it better to avoid those roads specially in Abu Dhabi city.
