### 3/5 — Please fix the glitch!!

*2026-03-18, version 1.3.1*

The words get stuck on the top of the screen blocking that whole portion. Very annoying glitch that happens on every single scene.

### 3/5 — Too much dialogue

*2025-09-09, version 1.1.2*

I gave only three stars due to too much dialogue and not enough interaction.

### 3/5 — u kiddin me! pointless

*2024-09-04, version 1.1.1*

i played this for under one mini game not worth exclusive

### 3/5 — Review

*2023-07-27, version 1.1.0*

Good, but not for the price, lost lands is heaps longer.

### 4/5 — I’m hooked

*2023-05-28, version 1.1.0*

Another Dark city… I was excited to try this game after really enjoying London…

Dublin did not disappoint 😃… great storyline, graphics and gameplay I’m impressed with F.F.S… I think I may become a fan

Really recommend this series to any adventure puzzle gamers it stands up… wish it was longer but I’m being greedy 😄

Can’t wait to try the next city 😉

### 4/5 — Excellent game

*2023-03-23, version 1.0.2*

Fun to play. but the bonus game is a little too short.

### 3/5 — Short and easy

*2022-05-04, version 1.0.2*

Not very taxing and felt very short. Looks nice and no glitches which is always good.

### 4/5 — Beautifully constructed

*2021-11-15, version 1.0.2*

Yet another absorbing game from F.F.S. Video. Definitely a cut above the usual, boring, hidden object adventures. These games offer much more Good storylines, beautifully crafted graphics, and varied puzzles make them a pleasure to play. Everything is very logical, and the solution is never far away. Not very difficult games, so best played in ‘Expert Mode’. My only gripe is the cost. They are slightly overpriced. Almost £5 per game is a lot to pay for something that can easily be finished within a day or two. Especially for the older game titles in the series. Nevertheless, these games are very enjoyable.

### 4/5 — Fun!

*2021-10-21, version 1.0.2*

Try it! You’ll really like it!

### 3/5 — Dublin

*2021-08-28, version 1.0.1*

Good game, but now I’m stuck, the mailbox isn’t let me open the door

### 4/5 — Great game but …..

*2021-08-26, version 1.0.1*

I was truly excited to find that the next chapter of the Dark City series was located in Ireland. Ireland is where both my great (x3) grandparents were began and ended their lives. Kerry and Cork respectively. As always I love the deductive reasoning, and analysis which make the game truly unique, but the fact that only two of the characters had Irish accents was truly a miss and very disappointing for me. I would also have loved to hear more Irish music in the background. So, this is why I only gave it 4 stars as attention to detail is very important in these type of games.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Was going well

*2022-01-24, version 1.0.2*

Playing as enjoy these games but only got so far and it wanted me to pay to unlock game 😩

### 1/5 — Spielbare Demo viel zu kurz

*2021-11-07, version 1.0.2*

Es handelt sich um eine spielbare Demo, nach den ersten zwei Szenen muss das Spiel dann für 6 Euro gekauft werden.

### 1/5 — Constantly crashing

*2021-09-20, version 1.0.2*

Looks like I good game but unable to progress as it crashes my iPad constantly.

### 1/5 — Payment error

*2021-08-20, version 1.0.0*

I got confirmation of payment on 8/20/21. When I tried to open game, I was given a payment error message and game didn’t open. I need you to fix this, or give me a refund.

### 2/5 — Would be cool if it wasn’t pay to play

*2025-02-11, version 1.1.2*

I didn’t realize I was downloading a demo, but you pretty much are and for seven dollars you can keep it. Super deceitful. Just make the app $6.99

### 2/5 — I hate the puzzles - too many

*2024-07-01, version 1.1.1*

Too many puzzles - not enough hidden object. I hate the puzzles to make things worse.

### 2/5 — No free lunch

*2022-08-02, version 1.0.2*

Last time I played an “in-app purchase” game—admittedly quite a while ago—it meant you could play, but had the option of acquiring more goodies (hints, gold, time, special scenes, etc) by paying extra, or at least that you had a chance to play a lot before being shut out. In this game, you get just a couple of scenes and games, all very easy, before you have to pay up. I wasn’t even able to tell whether the game would get harder and more fun and be worth paying for. The graphics are pretty good, though, and it looks like it has potential.

### 2/5 — Game hangs in certain scenes on iPad. There is NO tech support

*2022-01-20, version 1.0.2*

Opened clue book, could not do anything to get out of that screen. Had to end up uninstalling game. There is no tech support anywhere.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2021-10-24, version 1.0.2*

Although many people have given this game a good review I found it very disappointing, disjointed and rambling. The programming seems very amateurish compared to some of the better games, Five-bn,for example. The bonus game too, leaves a lot to be desired, and I just hadn’t got the drive to pursue it to its end.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2021-09-10, version 1.0.2*

I loved the first Dark City, the second one was good, but this one I’m very disappointed in. The hidden object scenes were good, but the game was way too easy and really short. It was no challenge at all to find the morphing objects, in fact they were all the same. The depth of the first Dark City is definitely missing which is a real shame.

### 5/5 — Great fun to be had

*2025-04-13, version 1.1.2*

I initially thought this was going to be a dumb game. Leprechauns? Instantly I loved it. The colors, clarity, story and games were excellent. It was nice to have an original storyline and new mini games.

### 5/5 — Another great game

*2024-05-26, version 1.1.1*

A another amazing instalment of the Dark City Series. With a great plot and fun twists.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2023-09-21, version 1.1.1*

Friendly Fox studios is my go to hidden object game and this is outstanding as usual. Both the original story and the bonus story are very well done and push you to find out what’s going on.

### 5/5 — Love this series!! Can we get some people of color please? Tokyo (Japan), Cape Town (South Africa)

### 5/5 — Dark City: Dublin by LynxMinx

*2021-09-05, version 1.0.2*

Once again, Friendly Fox provided us with a magical and enchanting game, with a novel storyline which revolved around Irish superstition and leprechauns. The bonus chapter provided an interesting addition with the legend of the banshees. The graphics were magnificent, and each time you found enough clues you would make a deduction and learn more of the plot, furthering your progress through the game. This was a lengthy game, with a plethora of enjoyable tasks to accomplish at each location. Every location contained a collectible shamrock and a morphing object. We were provided with a terrific mix of puzzles/games, including a labyrinth, and codes to decipher, which are my favorite types of puzzles. However there was a puzzle for everyone! The HO scenes had a nice variety, and each was storyline-specific. I didn’t want this game to end, because it was amazing. The only negative I encountered was a lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface, which meant a bit of difficulty using certain inventory items. However it wasn’t constant and did not affect my enjoyment of the game. Players, this is a must-purchase game. If you love folklore and puzzles this game is going to thrill you. After you finish the bonus chapter and have found all collectibles there is a leprechaun/fairy chess game to play. Very original! Gamers, just enjoy it. I do not know when we shall see another game from Friendly Fox. We can only pray that it’s sooner rather than later.
Happy gaming, and stay safe, my friends!
