Why have I suddenly got to buy rubies to get hints or skip bits?? This wasn’t the case when I first got it. I never buy games that need more purchases. The story is fantastic, also the graphics are fascinating. ### 4/5 — Better than I thought, but not enough diamonds *2024-05-01, version 1.0.7* I did enjoy the game a lot, especially with how I enjoy playing these games. I lucked up with finding this after finishing a couple series from another developer, and glad I did. But I don’t like how everything cost so many diamonds. First, a hint is worth 3 and to skip puzzles is over 10/15 diamonds. And if we’re only going to start off with not merely enough diamonds, then I don’t think things should cost much diamonds. I only used diamonds once to skip a puzzle that just wasn’t letting me complete it (the lock to get get into the clock shop, I think?) and after that, that was it. And in the end, I didn’t even have enough diamonds to complete the bonus chapter. Which also isn’t fair, because why should we fork over diamonds just to play the content already in the game? I do not like that, especially when there’s no way to earn free diamonds. Not even an ad, you just have to spend your money and that’s not fair. Even with having the $1.99, I don’t want to spend my money just to play something that should be a free part of the game anyway. And this kind of puts me off to play any other game made by this developer ### 5/5 — high quality and delightful *2024-04-02, version 1.0.7* All the Friendly Fox games are excellently made from the gorgeous graphics to the excellent music soundtracks, fun storylines woven through without getting tedious, and an excellent variety of hidden object challenges and many other puzzles. This game is no exception. Das Design des Spiels ist auch relativ schön und es gibt keinen einzigen nervigen Werbespot. Allerdings gibt es für mich immer noch 2 negative Punkte: was mich einerseits sehr stört ist, dass die Cutscenes auch in diesem Spiel sehr verbuggt und verpixelt sind. Andererseits stört mich, dass man trotz den Namen F2P ab einer gewissen Stelle einfach nicht mehr weiter kommt, ohne In-App-Käufe zu betreiben. Klar ich kann verstehen dass die Entwickler Geld verdienen müssen, aber dann nennt es bitte nicht F2P. Man kommt nicht weiter, da die Rätsel desto weiter man kommt mehr verbuggt werden und man so gezwungen wird die überspringen Funktion zu verwenden, welche Rubine kostet, welche man sich kaufen muss, da man zu wenige am Anfang bekommt. But the map is awful and not the least bit helpful. Honestly, I don’t know why they bothered. But the WORST part is that if you need a hint or need to skip a game (there’s a ridiculously difficult to understand game with rearranging dots), you need diamonds. They give you a small amount to start… but to skip a game requires more diamonds than are “given”. And you have to pay to get them. So, you buy the game for $6.99, then they sneak in the extra charges. They should let you know upfront. I won’t buy another HO game from these guys. Ridiculous to have to pay for hints. Interessante Story, lösbare Rätsel. Habe jetzt fast alle Dark City Spiele durchgespielt. Auch ohne Kauf sehr gut zu spielen! Man bekommt ein paar Freitipps, wenn man wirklich mal nicht weiterkommt. Schön ist, dass man nicht etliche Locations zurück muss, um etwas zu holen um weiter zu kommen. Manchmal muss man aber gefühlt pixelgenau etwas platzieren, damit es „haften“ bleibt - das könnten die Entwickler etwas großzügiger handhaben.
