I downloaded this version that says it’s the whole game unlocked, but it’s not. It’s one small portion then it prompts me to pay to unlock the actual game. :/ 
The game is fun and unique and I would give it more stars if I could actually finish playing it.

Like the game, but can’t do puzzle in doctors office - might have to give up 😕

Spieltechnisch schön gestaltet aber echt jetz Tipps gegen Dias die man gegen echtgeld kaufen muss? Und für das bonusspiel auch noch extra bezahlen.. 

Das war definitiv das erste und letzte Spiel dieser Reihe..

I’ve made it so close to the end and now I’m stumped and can’t finish the game :( Can’t complete the evolution tile puzzle in the doctor’s office and no online help is available to solve it either. Hate to give up but I might not have a choice.

It was fun until you get to evolution mini puzzle at the end. I’m usually good at solving but this one is really difficult and frustrating. In order to skip, you have no choice but to pay for rubies which makes this version NOT f2p. End up deleting this game without finishing - - such a shame!

The game is okay, I like the story and the graphics. Puzzles aren’t too tough, so it’s a good relaxing game before bed. BUT I hate that to play the bonus game you have to buy gems or buy the bonus game. I’ve played hundreds of this type of app over the years and never ever have I seen a game where you have to buy the bonus chapter. Just make it part of the initial price. Bummer that I did the whole main game but don’t get to do any of the bonus extras I love because I’m not going to pay $1.99 just for the bonus chapter. Edit after developer response: I want to make sure you know I totally think the game is worth the money! It was just disappointing to finish the main game just to find out the bonus game is a charge. I guess it technically makes sense to pay for bonus features, but it’s not the norm so was an unwelcome surprise. Not a fan of paying for hints either. I never used them, but the amount of gems you have by the end of the game aren’t enough to buy the bonus. I like the game, love the graphics and story, I think they’re better than the other big “hidden object” type developers. Only thing I think could use some adjusting is the gem system. It’s my only turn off to the games. But I’ll keep playing them!!

Le prix pour débloquer un casse tête est astronomique (50 rubis) et le pire c’est qu’on ne peut pas regarder de publicité pour débloquer des rubis.
Il faut payer.

Et il faut aussi payer le niveau bonus.

Très déçu, il y a d’autre jeu du même type dans l’app store (fait par la boîte five-bn games par exemple) qui propose des pub à regarder en échange de pièce à indice et qui propose également le niveau bonus gratuit.
Attention à la concurrence.

Another dark city & another great story line 😊…
Graphics, game play & puzzles still impressive and immersive… the mini games are great not too hard so they frustrate & the HOP can be difficult but still fun…

I’m fast becoming a fan of this developer … definitely will be playing more games… 

Also really appreciate the F2P games available with option to buy bonus game… during these tough times it’s super considerate for games of such high quality 😍…

There’s lots to love about this game. Long game play, great graphics, plenty of variety in the puzzles.
Towards the end, a tile puzzle in the doctors office proved to be the end for me.
After trying off and on for almost a week, I couldn’t solve this one. I was left with the choice of buying my way out with in-app purchase, or jumping ship. Since it was near the end anyway, I gave up and deleted the app.
Btw - none of the online walkthru sites offered a solution for this particular puzzle

I’ve played all of your other Dark City games and have completed them without too much trouble. But this one … I got to the evolution puzzle near the end and am stuck with just 2 pieces out of place. Yes, I know I could buy "50 rubies," or I could buy the game and start over, but with inflation hitting us so hard, I can’t justify spending $ on a game. I really like your games, and the choice at the end of them to decide the fate of the perpetrator. This puzzle us just too hard, as others have told you as well. Not finishing it. ☹️

I actually like this game, lots to do, lots of fun, but then you get to a mini-game, the puzzle of the evolution into the werewolf where you slide the columns and rows. First of all, there is no reset button to start over. It was 45 gems to skip. I went out of the game and when i went back to that mini game it was 50 gems to skip. 50!!!!! My GOD talk about greed!! Take the fun out of the game by making it "free to play" only by no means is it free! The developer doesnt want you to have fun with it. They want every penny out of you they can get to buy gems, instead of what they used to do, offer for you to buy the game and have fun with it.  They took away the fun part and made it more expensive for you. This is whats wrong with the whole world!! Money money money!!! It's a shame, that greed is tearing everything apart! Making everybody angry and fighting. I can't get past this mini game and no way I'm wasting my hard earned money on gems just to feed greed. Uninstalling!

Leider nur Mittelmaß. Langweilige Geschichte, wenig echte Rätsel, eigentlich meist nur ein weiter klicken. Und eine hakelige Bedienung
Wer andere Wimmelspiele wie Lost Lands kennt wird etwas enttäuscht sein.

This game is great, however, there is one thing I have a major problem with. You know that puzzle in the doctor’s office where you have to slide the rows and columns around to recreate the picture? Well, it’s nearly impossible to solve!! I’ve been trying to solve it for several months now and I just can’t do it! Why couldn’t it have been a click-and-swap puzzle? Honestly! You game developers purposely design your games that way to force players to buy the necessary items to skip the puzzles and some people just don’t have that kind of money! Until this puzzle is either redone or eliminated entirely, I will never play your games again!!

Dev - please stop advertising your games as f2p - each one has some puzzle that is unsolvable. The only way around it is to pay money.

I was loving this game until the picture puzzle in the doctors office. Way too difficult and I’m not paying to buy 50 rubies so that I can skip the puzzle. Also, there is no reset on the puzzle. Probably just going to delete without getting to finish.

I usually love this series of games but this one really disappointed me.  I paid to unlock the game before I started it because it has been a great series. Unfortunately each hint cost 3 coins, of which you have 32 to begin(and no way to get more without purchasing more) To skip a mini game cost 50 coins which you have to buy. Also the bonus game cost an extra $2.00. I would have paid $8.00 to begin but I deleted before getting the bonus. It wasn’t worth it to me.

### 1/5 — Dev coding Error with puzzle meaning can’t complete

I’m currently talking to Klaus and needing to slide gems to beat him. You need three to match. It only offers one option and when you select it, there are no more gems in threes. I keep re-setting and have done this over 50 times now. I think this shows its not me, it’s the coding. It’s coded so you can’t get passed without paying for gems… Sad to say I can’t finish the game as I’m not being forced to pay to skip the puzzle because of a coding error.

Like others have mentioned the evolution slide is impossible. After spending hours of my time trying to figure it out, I’m giving up. It’s a shame as I love your games but this one has beaten me and needing 50 rubies to skip this puzzle is rather excessive 🙁

Like another reviewer on here I got stuck on the evolution mini game, however, unlike the other reviewer I found it tiresomely frustrating and decided life’s too short, please please please don’t make these mini games so difficult, I’ve decided to delete what was otherwise an excellent game and you’ve forced me to give a low star rating

This was a very enjoyable and fairly easy going game. Until you have to solve the Neanderthal picture puzzle in the Dr. Room.
First, they should have shown you what the picture should look like.
Second, to me, even though I went online to get the picture, moving the tiles to achieve the end was impossible. When you get a correct tile in place, it lights up to verify it is in the correct spot. But to get other tiles, you have to move the completed tiles and now THEY are out of place. Stupid. AND they want FIFTY RUBIES to skip it. This forces you to purchase (not me) more rubies. This ruined the game.

Love the games but sad you partnered with Fox. So now the games are not free to play. I liked the dark city series till then. My favorite character is the original detective.

英語がわからないので、なんとなくしか物語はわかりませんでしたが、それでも楽しかったです。
別の会社のにたようなやつだと、マップが広すぎるのでどこに何があったか忘れて、記憶力ゲームになってしまうのが、こちらはもう行かないところは表示されないのでとてもやりやすいです。

I’ve purchased two other games by this designer and they were fantastic! This game doesn’t allow you to choose a difficulty level, but seems like it is just as detailed and great as the others. I normally don’t purchase games, but I’ve made an exception for these!

This is my second Dark City game and fourth F.F.S. game I’ve played. Just wanted to say I’ve played a lot of HOA’s (a lot. Like, a sad amount lol), and haven’t seen such consistent and incredible storylines, art style, and sound as this dev provides. I love these so much! And I so greatly appreciate the f2p option for some of the games, I was worried I would be spammed with a thousand ads, but it doesn’t have any, just need to pay for hints :). These games are definitely worth the $ if you have it.

I see some of the reviews have complaints about the puzzle in the doctor’s office. Is it difficult? Yes. Is it fair? Also yes. You know what you are supposed to do. Some of us like a challenge, and I’m glad they threw a few harder things in.

Wirklich ein super tolles Spiel, cooles Thema, sehr bunt und kreativ gestaltende Orte und manchmal knifflig! Genau wie es sein muss:D

Schade finde ich nur, das kurz vor dem Ende des Spiels, das eine Rätsel mit dem Reihen und Zeilen verschieben um das Bild wieder herzustellen, für mich unmöglich war, habe dann auch abgebrochen.

Ansonsten super Spiel, werde die anderen Städte definitiv auch noch spielen❤️
