Object drag and drop was hard too since sometimes it wouldn’t work when you put the object on top of another, had to place it to the side for it to work. Really liked the skyward and the other phantom of the opera games that big fish removed. Got to the candles at the gate and the candle on the left next to the middle candle cannot be lit and had to skip this game play. Note book is great but do prefer the map in the main screen. Some parts are a bit dark but overall nice graphics. It is very annoying trying to get some puzzles to work. The map at the statue I gave up on with regard to putting the branches in place. Unresponsive when tapping to move a branch, most of the time the branches wouldn't respond to the arrow for turning. I don't like to have to skip puzzles but after a while it becomes frustrating and then the game is ruined if this has to happen too many times I would say there are quite a few bugs that need sorting out but I doubt if they will be. The normal price charged is definitely not worth it. ### 2/5 — Game Has Frozen *2017-02-07, version 1.0.0* The game was fun, except for a few glitches with some of the mini games. I was determined to see it through, though, until the game froze. I'm at the point where I'm outside the church. The leaves still blow by and the sound continues, but nothing happens. I contacted Big Fish support, and we tried everything (closing open apps, playing in airplane mode, restarting the iPad, etc.). Heck, I even deleted the game and started from the beginning. Frozen again in the exact same location. The BFG support rep said I could either weigh & see if the developer released a fix, or ask Apple for a refund, with Big Fish's blessings. I'm leaving this review in hopes that the developer might see it and investigate the problem. I've seen two other people with similar issues post in the forum. Graphics are not the best on my iPad. A lot of flickering and freezing. When trying to pick an object, sometimes you only have to be close or tap it a few times. Would appreciate labels or some way to identify what's in your inventory. Hard to know. I have nothing else to do but I have a feeling my review will echo yours. I think BigFish had better get their act together. I wanted to know what you think we can do about getting more than 2 games a week in this genre from BigFish. Seriously! Especially since usually only one game might be worth playing. At least we got trials back. For now! It's sad really that Daily Magic could have made this into a 5 star game, but they absolutely missed the mark. I agree with Catalina, Izzyoc and KimTwilight. There were some good points. You could customize settings, the graphics were beautiful in a bizarre way, the storyline was a bit different. You had a gimmick, which was the dagger box. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. There was a marked teleport map to use, inconveniently located in your journal. The HO scenes were mostly use one object to unlock another one. I didn't get RATS but poor Dracyy got spiders and hornets! Unfortunately some of the most important details we want in a game were sorely lacking. This was not a long game, but it was made to seem longer because of the lag using the diary/map. Loading was not instantaneous between locations and there was an annoying lag to open the diary in order to access the map. In addition, the inventory was of the "leaping" type, which drives me almost to insanity, and we do not want a crazy Lynx! Games are so advanced at this point that loading should always be instantaneous between location, the transport map should function perfectly and the inventory should remain in its place until you actually need to use it. Another feature that I was not happy with was the puzzles/mini-games. They were unoriginal and there were many puzzles of the boring rotational sort, and they have been done to death! I could care less about morphing objects, which were puzzle pieces that were very difficult to manipulate at the end. In addition you could tell that English was not the primary language spoken by the developer, and that is obnoxious to me. Daily Magic needs to update their games to have instantaneous loading and a normal inventory bar. Their games seem dated when in reality they are not. Big Fish, you can do a lot better than this! My heart sank a bit when the end of the game implied there is more to come. The story-telling is not cohesive, as with quite a few games nowadays, and the game play unreliable in places. Nice artwork, though. As for the substantial hike in cost, a post-Brexit consequence?? We spend too much money on these games to not be able to finish them. I would rather wait on the games to come out then waste my money so they can come out quicker. This happens entirely too often. I've played a lot of these games, and every game has a glitch in it. Unfortunately, too many of them can't be completed bc of these "glitches". Then trying to get your money back is almost impossible. Take ur time developing them. Have someone play them before you put them out to the public. Fix the glitches before you make people pay for them. The map to the woods in the bonus game doesn't work. Not to mention, many other glitches that made playing this game annoying like so many others. I used the hint because that fixes the problem in a lot of games, but didn't work in this one. I got out of the game. Still no good. Nobody wants to delete the app and replay the game. Worst thing was that the game would not move past the part where it unlocked despite deleting and adding it several times. Therefore, it was just robbery and a waste of money. Can't move on with this piece; have tried all tips and nothing helps. Good puzzles and a mixture of styles of hidden object scenes too. I found the hidden puzzle pieces really difficult to find and unfortunately there wasn’t the option to try again at the end. I also found the placement of some objects had to be exact sometimes, which meant using the hint a few times. New games @ £3.99 (30% rise). SERIOUSLY!! I've only played the demo of this game but it seems quite good although it's a bit unresponsive in places. I haven't decided whether to buy yet because of the above. At least you can try before you buy and I will be much more "picky" before purchasing in future. Well, I waited and did buy in sale for £2.99 and it was very enjoyable. Lovely graphics, liked the, easy to follow, storyline, nice mix of easy/tricky puzzles, not too many HOS and no bugs on iPad Air.
