Just why??? ### 3/5 — Now the best… *2025-03-07, version 2.2.31* …by default. Comixology has sunk. The Dark Horse app is far superior now. Their content is always excellent. UPDATE: The Dark Horse Digital storefront is no more as of 2/24/2025. Now we have to go through other apps & storefronts to buy their comics. I feel like I want to rant on and on like when Amazon killed Comixology. Corporate mergers are inherently evil, fueled by greed. I enthusiastically rated this app 5 stars before. Now I don’t know how to rate it after this bad news. I just downloaded all my DH comics and hope I will be able to read them all for as long as I choose to… ### 3/5 — Could Be Better *2025-02-17, version 2.2.23* Primarily use this app for The High Republic Adventures comic. In 2024 the website and app functions like it’s the year 2000 and as a result doesn’t support any kind of 2FA which in 2024 should be mandatory. ### 1/5 — MONEY EATER *2024-10-24* Bought comics they didn’t become validated and I ended up buying them multiple times because of an error, and they still didnt show up, I get an error message during “validating” what the hell? ### 2/5 — Clearly little effort was put in *2024-09-30* The app crashes a lot. The read history doesn’t seem to stay if you don’t come back for a few weeks. And the pricing…… went up. For digital content mind you. Just go read Berserk on a website and save yourself the headache. Overall it’s a 3 / 10 for me. I keep it downloaded on the app and on several occasions when I reopen the volume I was reading, my progress is completely gone. Happens on other books too, I reached out about this through the in app feedback three months ago, got a response saying they would send it to the def team. Here we are today and its happened again. However, I have a major complaint with the app. Why is there no wishlist/reading list/save for later feature?? I had just gotten a swirly from Timmy tuff knuckles when all of a sudden i got a call from my favorite bully saying that he burned all my Naruto x sakura fan fics. I was devestated and wanted to end it all when dark horse came along it got me out of dark times. Now i can upload stuff and read stuff thanks Dark horse P.s the bully got jumped for saying a naughty word in the hood and is now paralyzed. Blm yall 🧔🏿‍♂️✊🏿 ### 5/5 — Why is it closing? *2025-03-27* I am a more recent subscriber and and, contrary to some reviews, I have been perfectly happy with the app. Aside from the rare UI design issues, I have been impressed and happy. This is my favorite comic reader, and Dark Horse really are more of the comic book lovers company and seem to have as much enthusiasm about their comics as readers do. Because of that, they have some nice features like being able to buy and manage full digital copies. And I haven't bought that many cause I'm kind of poor but did we not buy enough? Were we not loud enough in support? I really hope you guys come out with a digital storefront again, as much as I like buying physical copies, so much of the future of print is either digital, or digital supported, or physical-print supported digital. Anyways, I love you guys, I hope you guys can figure out a way to come back to digital at some point. ### 5/5 — Good times, but now I’m sad *2025-03-06* I love the app but I’m sad to see it go. Following the FAQ; only clearing the cache works and then once i get close to where i was in my chapter it kicks me out starting it all over again. Contacted customer support, hopefully they follow up with something worthwhile Edit: had issues with the first download of the book, had to archive and then re download.
