Certain pages that have been visited before while on turn dark when turned off, forcing you to go into the settings and toggle it on then off again. According to previous reviewers, the images would turn all-black when visiting certain sites; but for my case, the brightness of the images gets reset until you go back and readjust the settings. Also I think on websites with a dark mode already look a bit hideous overall, lol. An update to fix these two issues would be nice, as a previous avid user of this Safari extension. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t darken correctly for months/iOS versions *2026-06-16, version 1.4.2* The app doesn’t darken correctly, which makes images and web elements invisible. Additionally, photos and thumbnails appear to have a black overlay. Toggling the view (e.g., on/off) resolves the issue. Similarly, when playing videos directly from their thumbnails, the screen remains black. Switching to full-screen mode resolves this issue. I’ve been using this service regularly, so I’d appreciate it if you could fix this as soon as possible. iOS26.4.2 ### 2/5 — Update *2026-05-13, version 1.4.2* Please update for ios 26 ### 2/5 — Needs urgent updating *2026-05-08, version 1.4.2* As someone with a visual impairment this is a must have. It has been working very well for me for a very long time. There has always been the odd website that doesn’t quite work, but recently I find I have to turn it off and on or switch from on to auto almost every time a new page loads.
