### 1/5 — Missing Crucial Game Mechanic

*2024-03-20*

In the original Dark Tower, when you visited your home citadel after going around the board and collecting all three keys it doubled your warriors if you had 5-24 warriors when you visited. Furthermore, you could keep revisiting your home citadel and doubling your warriors each time (assuming you had 5-24 warriors) as long as you visited the tomb, ruin, bazaar, or Dark Tower between home citadel visits.

Without this crucial mechanic, the game can be a tedious slog trying to build up enough warriors to overtake the Dark Tower once you have collected the three keys.

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was completely ignorant of this mechanic and will work on adding it to the next release ASAP. Appreciate the feedback!

Edit: This mechanic has been implemented in version 1.4.

### 2/5 — Won’t give gold key

*2025-01-19*

This game was ok at first, but now when I try to play I can’t complete a game because it refuses to ever give me the gold key in the third kingdom. It’s maddening. I finally deleted the game since it just kept me going on circles. I can no longer recommend it. It worked the first couple times I played, but now it flat out won’t release the gold key. Oh well, glad it wasn’t too expensive.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing some issues with the game.

The gold key is given randomly, so I understand why it might be frustrating if you don’t get it immediately. If you keep at it, it will eventually emerge :)

### 3/5 — Missing Crucial Game Mechanic

Edit: I raised my review from 1 to 4 stars after the developer implemented the above-mentioned feature. I applaud the effort. However, this is still a game with some implementation issues. For example, in Dark Tower you are not supposed to be able to visit citadels in other kingdoms. Anyway, it's good enough, and it's nice to see someone keeping a classic alive.

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was completely ignorant of this mechanic and will work on adding it to the next release ASAP. Appreciate the feedback!

### 5/5 — Plays perfectly!

*2024-05-12*

So nice to play this game from my teen years on my phone. I love that it plays quickly and saves progress if you need to quit the app. Everything is done right here, for a very fair price with no ads. The UI is super easy too. Thank you developer for doing a great job bringing back a favorite game from my past. I love it!

### 5/5 — Nostalgic blast from the past!

*2022-11-25, version 1.2*

Great adaptation of the 80’s classic Dark Tower board game! Glad to have stumbled across this. Love it!

### 5/5 — Great pass and play game

*2022-10-01*

Not ever having played the board game I found this to be a great way for my wife and I to pass time at the airport. I wish the battles with the brigands were a bit more interactive but I had a great time.

### 5/5 — Awesome Indie Game

*2022-09-30*

It is exactly what I look for in a game. Fair price, replay ability, and fun. An amazing indie game.

### 5/5 — Love it

Actually having a great time with this game! Has a classic vibe to it and you never know what’s gonna happen next. Love it!
