Touch controls work fine but nowadays, there’s no reason not to have controller support. Two areas however, does annoy me and that I wish developers would fix. This is the black side borders. They are so annoying and cut out so much detail on the sides. Second, is the small text and hovering over details such as the DoTs. Sometimes it works, other times it just never pulls up. The thrill of some random bosses popping from nowhere or the night attack that obliterated my team form 4 health to 2 heavily injured, or chained attack RNG that eliminates my vestal the first round before I could react, or the stress seeing my characters all stresses to 100 or above. It’s a good suffering game and the pleasure of the pain shall be shared, a taste of Hellriser movie series. Perhaps more DLC packs, although I haven’t beaten the game but yet mid progress and building my town first, till I feel fully prepared to that final that’s the pressure-est of all. ### 4/5 — get a stylus people *2024-10-05, version 1.6* seriously, the game plays fine. lots of reviews from years ago complaining about a technical issue that no longer exists seem to be bringing this games score down. i was only looking at the store page to see other games like this and was surprised at the low overall score. i’ve had this from launch and it’s always worked fine for me. first on an ipad Mini 2, and now on a 5th gen Mini, still works fine. and as for the status info boxes popping up underneath you finger tips? get a cheap stylus people. not the expensive apple pencil, etc., i mean like the cheap one with the black rubber tips. that’s what i use for all my strategy games on my 5th gen mini.. that and a good pair of reading glasses. who needs a bigger screen when you can just magnify it with a $5 pair of reading glasses? as for the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, they’re only a problem if you’re an anal retentive nutcase. there’s so much black in the game’s artwork already you barely notice the lines after 30 mins. so yeah, it could be a better port, but as it stands right now it’s perfectly serviceable. as for the gameplay, understand what you’re getting into before buying stuff people. not every game is made for casual play. gotta pay attention in this one, and some of your guys are gonna die. just is what it is. and again, get a cheap stylus instead of using your fat fingers. ### 2/5 — Clever ideas marred by major design flaws *2024-09-18, version 1.6* I really want to like this game. I love everything about the setting and overall tone, and the combat system has some interestingly original design elements that make it fun to explore. However the game is made unplayable for me by a couple of glaring design flaws, the big one being the level cap on dungeons. Your squad needs to be at the top of their level bracket to have any chance of success, but if one character accidentally levels up then they are excluded from the mission and you need to train up a whole new character to replace them. Finally bought it. Huge mistake.
