## What is DarkPDF?

macOS and iOS 13 bring us this marvellous Dark Mode. Dark Mode has many benefits. But there is a problem for PDF readers.

Most PDF files are black text on a white background, resembling a printed form of documents.

For eyes that get used to Dark Mode, such pages put a strain on them.

DarkPDF can help. It is available on both macOS (Catalina) and iOS. Buy it once, and use it on both platforms.

By altering the background from white to black, text from black to white, you can read PDFs in Dark Mode.

Even better, DarkPDF can also compress margins around the page, as well as blank spaces in the page so that more space can be used to render meaningful text.

This software offers minimal functionality and doesn't appear particularly sophisticated, yet considering its intended purpose and the modest price of £0.99, I find it thoroughly satisfactory. It is straightforward, practical, and delivers excellent value for money – perfectly matching its description. Such software is a rare gem of conscientious development and deserves high praise!

All this seems to do is open a dark sample PDF and does not change any others that I view.

It works but its options are very limited. It's annoying to side swipe and manually enlarge each page. I think the app isn't quite there yet, but it def has potential! I hope they'll be able to add vertical scroll in future updates.

Sadly the app just inverts the colors. nothing my mac couldnt do by itself. And the app laggs all the time.

Has worked fine through ~4 novels. Sometimes, especially when importing multiple PDFs at once, they fail to show in the app, but I can see them in the app's folder in File Explorer. I've yet to figure out a solution, and it now happens when importing single PDFs.

I have a pretty significant visual impairment. It is very difficult for me to read normal pages with black print and white background. I am still able to read in dark mode. This app is perfect for me. It is nice and bright, making it easily readable.

I love this app but I have one suggestion, the compressing margins feature is great, but it would be even better to be able to make the text even larger by splitting up the page into different pages, the text is just uncomfortably small while reading on iPhone and zooming in and out is just a big hassle.

Because of this app I'll never try anything on the App Store that requires that I buy it first. Total waste of money. 

1. Odd artifact at top of window. A fine line. Never goes away.
2. Uses dark mode, but no settings for text. Text is bright white to the point of distortion.
