Book your ride in minutes with the Dart app using partnered drivers and local taxis. With more drivers joining, Dart provides transportation convenience for riders to travel anywhere within Brunei Darussalam.

DART TAXI
- Book your regular taxi with Dart. Dart Taxi relies on local registered taxis and uses the standard metered fare. Dart assists by giving a cost estimate based on a distance calculation without surcharges or time factor.
- Now with Dart you can pay with cash and receive an electronic receipt via email.

HOW TO USE DART 
- Download the App for free and register your account
- Register a phone number where the driver can contact you (you may update this at any time). 
- Our app uses your smartphone GPS and Geo-location function to help confirm your pick-up point. Tap on marker and type in a helpful note for our drivers to find you. Eg. I’m waiting upstairs or a detailed street name/number
- For your drop-off point just type the street address or closest landmark/street and accurately drag pointer on map. 
- An estimated fare will appear and you can request on demand pick-up.

- Be Bruneian citizen or Permanent resident of Brunei

This app is not user friendly. It glitches out half the time. Another big problem is it only allows you to top up not directly charge your card. But the prices appear to change based on how much is in your account. For example I had 4.70 in my account and check the ride price- it was 10.30. So I topped up to 10.70 in my account and went to order the ride. Now the price of the ride to the airport showed as 10.80. The minimum top up is $2 and is non-refundable. But I topped up again because I had to. I went back to order the ride after topping up. Now the cost went back down to 10.30 which is what it was before topping up the first time. So a waist of $2 that the driver doesn’t get but the company gets to keep. Silly way to set it all up especially in a place people come for limited amount of time

i am unsure if the app chooses to work like this out of spite or simply because the company isn’t getting enough funding to continue to care about the app. 

brunei already suffers enough with insufficient public transport made in mind for those without a car or those who literally cannot drive a car. not only does this app often bug out and keep bringing you back to the log in screen — the insane amount of patience a person has to have just to wait for a driver to accept whatever destination you want to go to takes forever. 

you could even take up an hour of waiting and still receive nothing and the reason is given “the driver isn’t close enough to where you are right now!” 

i quite literally use dart only because my parents aren’t able to send me or any able body adult with a license that i know can — those who WILLINGLY work for this company should not be THIS picky with who they drive or what distance they are willing to do to reach that person. 

like, hello? i’ve been patiently waiting for half an hour and i am 100% sure no driver is going to accept my request because it’s not close by enough to sacrifice fuel (which mind you, is cheaper than bottled water) to drive from one place to another. and what’s even worse? i can’t even walk to my destination because there is literally little to no built-in side walks meant for walking AND the public transport here is absolutely horrible too.

App crashes as soon as a ride is accepted on Apple devices. No way to know which car or driver has accepted your ride. VERY UNSAFE.

I use Dart a lot and I’ve never been able to leave reviews for the drivers! The ‘Review’ button doesn’t work, only the ‘Dismiss’ button does. Please fix this!

The app does not work. It crashes and you can’t log in to see your trip information, you can’t respond to the driver, etc… every share ride app in the world work - except for this one. The frustration to away from our experience in Brunei. Apparently technology isn’t there thing.

If you go to Brunei, you are better off renting a driver or your own car. The app will find a driver and then immediately perpetually crash so you cannot find the driver, their information, nor communicate.

I signed up, logged in, so far so good.  I then submitted (“let’s dart”) and app immediately crashed to desktop.  I start getting messages from the driver and every time I get the message notification, when I load the app it immediately crashes.  I was horrified the poor driver would think we disappeared but fortunately we had chosen a pickup at a hotel and we waited at the lobby and the driver was smart enough to come in to look for us so we actually made the trip.  I think the app has been insufficiently tested?  Not sure why it’s crashing but this is an iPhone 14 Plus.
