The big let down though is that there isn’t an option to sync data across devices, the app works better on an iPad for visuals but a phone is more convenient sometimes if the data was shared it would make this a 5 star app. ### 5/5 — Brilliant on ipad pro *2024-01-09, version 1.2.2* Love it , just lacks training modes but for playing games with friends it’s perfect. ### 5/5 — Fantastic! *2023-11-23, version 1.2.2* The DartVision app is very polished-looking and easy to use. It plays 101, 301, 501, 701 and 1001 games, as 1 player, 2 player, or 1 player vs various computer players. You enter your scores precisely by tapping on an on-screen dartboard - my young son loves this because he struggles to add quickly enough - and when you’re on a finish, DartVision calculates what check-out you need. I usually miss, so I enter the first missed dart in DartVision before throwing the remaining two, and it recalculates the best route out. The app shows heat maps and very detailed statistics too. The DartVision app is very slick and so beautifully presented, I can’t believe that it has has so few reviews! I would like to see more practise features in future, such as round-the-clock singles and doubles etc. Also, I would like to be able to maintain multiple players in the settings page and compare their respective statistic progression as a line-chart. This would allow my family to practise separately and compare each other's progress. And, it would be great to link one or more friend accounts to my account, so I could track my progress against theirs remotely. If I could see that my friend’s average had recently improved, that would incentivise me to practise more. Other darts apps I’ve tried look like they have been made-up on the fly, and this shows in their inconsistent design and poor navigation. The Russ Bray’s Darts app is one dreadful example, but it does have good features. If DartVision included these features, it would be streets ahead, and I would happily pay an annual subscription for this. Well done! P.S. The only issue I found was with the website: it does not translate into English on Safari or Edge on my iPad. ### 4/5 — Suggestion *2023-10-17* Please add more player and teams! ### 5/5 — Just Brilliant *2023-09-08* Saw someone post on Facebook about using this app. It is honestly the best app to track your performance on the x01 game mode. I would gladly pay to get other game modes or even just practice modes added so you can track your accuracy and consistency with the heat map. The % accuracy on double puts has helped me realise I actually prefer double 20 over 16 outs as I’m more consistent with 20’s 10’s and 5’s but I’ve always avoided it as it’s the scary double at the top. Try it out. The input method is so simple and makes me want to play darts more. Data and darts too good. Cheers for the awesome app and 100% add more modes to track. (Cricket, Bob’s 27, Catch 40). ### 3/5 — Great Start *2023-03-05* Overall this is pretty solid for a free app, but there are issues, especially if this ever gets a paid version. First of all, it seems to only save stats for one profile. You can have two players for a game, but there is just one profile. Perhaps I’m missing something, but it really needs a saved profile for each player. I usually use this on my iPad, which is older (2018), and there is a lag and load time for some screens. Perhaps it’s just my hardware but, considering I run more complex apps in it, I doubt it. And now the biggest issue: some of the stats seem to be off. The check out rate is way, way too high. I wish I ran an 80% checkout rate, but I don’t. Also the final game stats often leave off some T20s (probably other things too). I have started keeping track of how many I hit, and the game stats screen often says I’ve hit 1 or 2 fewer than I actually did even though the spray chart shows them all. I like the drag and drop scoring input. I think it’s my favorite method for entering a score that I’ve found so far. It’s very precise and visually pleasing. It may be more annoying on a small phone screen, but I haven’t used it on my phone. The one huge plus to this app, which has kept me using it daily for over a month despite its flaws, is the gorgeous heat map that it generates. You can compare your results week to week, month to month. If this app ever has a paid version it will need to fix the scoring bugs, the lag times, and add more profiles as well as more games.
