Dash is a private, offline-first note-taking app built for people who want to think without being watched. No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. Notes live on your device. If you choose to sync between your own devices, every byte is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves your phone — the relay server cannot read your notes. Pins sync to your other devices. • Start a new note from a template when you name it: Meeting notes, Daily journal, To-do list, Project plan or Weekly review. Save any note as your own template, with the date, time and title filled in for you. • Import notes from Evernote, Notion, Obsidian, Notesnook, Standard Notes or a folder of Markdown files. You see what will come across before anything is saved, and each import can be undone. • Nested lists: indent bullet, numbered and checklist items from the block menu. Lists you paste keep their levels. • Photos are stored once on your phone instead of inside the note, so notes with photos stay small enough to sync. • PDF exports keep Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Greek and Cyrillic text and emoji, along with nested lists, callouts, toggles and photos. • See which notes link to the one you're reading, add callout and toggle blocks, and use Markdown shortcuts as you type. • A note that self-destructs while it's open now turns into binary and crumbles away. • Dash Sync: large notes and attachments now sync, and a full sync space pauses with a clear message instead of dropping notes. • Fixes: notes in Trash no longer show inside their folders, and text typed straight after Enter in a list no longer lands in the item above. ### 1.6.4 — 2026-09-10 A redesigned notes screen and a clearer editor. • Notes open on a full-width screen, with folders and notes in their own sections and a New note button within thumb reach. • Swipe a note left to move it to Trash, or right to lock it. • Appearance and settings now sit together in the footer. Pick a theme from visible swatches, or let Dash follow your iOS light and dark setting. • Tables use light horizontal rules with a tinted heading row, and heading sizes are tighter so structure reads at a glance. • Code blocks and inline code are styled properly in every theme. The Terminal theme has been rebuilt on a phosphor-green palette and uses your system monospace font. • Fixes for table headers sticking correctly while scrolling, and assorted layout tidying throughout. ### 1.5.6 — 2026-09-07 Sync fixes. • Sync now works on iPhones and networks that block the sync server's original address. Dash tries three addresses and keeps the one that answers.
