It didn't. Dash VPN gave me a week's free trial. When I switched to Dash Office, the free trial disappeared despite it claiming it was available. It claimed to give me 5 times faster download speed over my wifi connection. I thought this was worth £2.99 so I tried to purchase the one month subscription. After a number of unsuccessful attempts to purchase a subscription, it eventually worked and the app was installed. Wifi appeared slower, so I tested it with Speedtest.net and found a download speed of 32mbps without VPN running, and 6mbps with it running. Maybe I have got my setting wrong, so I emailed support. Then on checking my iTunes receipts, I discovered they had charged me for all my unsuccessful attempts to subscribe - 8 charges of £2.99 in total, one of which I can accept. My second email went to support a week ago. So far, no reply to either of my emails to support, so I may need to query this with Apple. The third problem I have with this is that following use of VPN, I am unable to connect to the iTunes Store. Maybe this is a coincidence, but I think not. Last week this problem resolved itself after I installed an Apple update on my iPad. I used VPN again today, was then blocked, but there is no upgrade to bail me out this time. I suspect VPN is fooling iTunes into thinking I am not from the UK, and this might be why I cannot connect. So, after a lot of searching and trying different solutions, I found one that works. If you see a message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store", go to your iPad settings, set the date to manual, and change the date to a future date. When you change it back, you should be able to connect again. I am not sure how this would affect lots of future diary entries though, so be careful using this trick. ***** Update. 10 days in, and still no reply from support. It worked briefly at first, but once you buy into any of the plans you are on your own. You will soon stop receiving any signals (0mps) but it will indicate VPN active on your device. I promise you customer support will completely ignore your issues. Take my advice pick another VPN app and save your self the stress and money. Note: I am sure that the next 3-5 posts after this one will say that this is the best VPN app on the market.
