Have never got the app to work but maybe 1 time. The Tablet works well but the app is horrendous! One of the reasons i bought the tablet was for my son to be able to save paper! He would be able to save his homework notes and share his math problems and artwork with friends and family. What a waste. To top things off...forget about syncing to your device. The dashboard doesn’t have Bluetooth that new devices recognize. Good luck. Outdated idea except for home use only. Would give zero stars if I could. ### 1/5 — Scanner rarely works, cuts off edges *2019-09-21, version 1.0* There is so much potential for this app to be fantastic, but the scanner is terrible. A significant majority of the time the scanner won’t recognize the edges of my device and therefore won’t take the picture. Multiple times I have tried for over a minute to get the scanner to work and then just give up and take a picture so I can erase the screen and keep using the board. I am very disappointed. It would be great if developers would work on the scanner quality to improve the effectiveness of the product. ### 1/5 — Great Concept Terrible Execution *2019-09-10, version 1.0* This has such awesome potential. I do not know if they gave up during development or on determining the updates to make the app sustainable. The required four dots are simply next to impossible make appear. Without simplifying image capture other features are worthless. I would rather take a normal picture of the board then spend literally 15 minutes contorting myself and trying to stay still enough to get the required four dots to appear. The how-to and customer support are also hard to find and do not help identify or address the right issues. I had to spend hours figuring it out on my own. Once I did I do not think I will ever waste the time again unless they do significant updates and fixes. I hope they do. Second, after I tried saving my first capture anyhow even though it’s garbage, the app crashed and now crashes every time I open it. It’s unacceptable. The app has been around for 3 years and it’s still on version 0.1, the company’s had plenty of feedback about the issues, and have completely ignored it. Apple should remove the app from the store. It’s abandonware. It’s not supported. It’s false advertising to give the impression that it exists. Have had no success with using the App. ### 1/5 — Awesome Concept But Needs Work *2020-08-24, version 1.0* I read the other review from 2019 and was hoping this app had improved. Sadly, it has not. The app takes a picture of the entire screen of the unit but only renders an inner rectangle area within the outer frame. As a result, some of the writing along the edge is cut off. The other problem is that the text written on the unit’s screen is hard to see; it’s a dull green on a black background. So, even if the app worked, the physical unit will not do me much good on my refrigerator because I can’t read my notes. Other than that it works great. I can change colors of the writing and background. It lines up easily for the four dots. I can save and share in the app and I can freeze the writing in the board so it can’t be accidentally erased. ### 5/5 — Potential *2019-01-24, version 1.0* This app has potential and think it’s kinda cool how it snaps a pic in a unique way. Unfortunately I can’t give it anymore than 1 star because, like others have said, the snapshot cuts off entire parts of what’s actually drawn in the board. This makes the app almost useless. The trick is to back away *2019-06-20, version 1.0* I'm not sure why everyone is having such trouble I held the board vertically, got the dots to line up within 15 seconds of my first try, and captured the full image of the first picture I attempted. I was able to write in other colors on it. This is going to useful for saving notes. Don't try to make the image fill the phone screen. Back away so it is 1/2 to 3/4 the size of the phone screen. Easy peasy. HOWEVER: with the newest OS, I get an error message to allow access to photos, but the link provided does not work. Any suggestions? ### 4/5 — Almost Perfect!!! *2019-04-07, version 1.0* This app is really cool and really handy for the type of work I do. Great for jotting down bits of information and not having a fumble for a paper and pen all the time. The main thing that really bothers me is that you can't switch from portrait to landscape! Whenever you’re trying to take a picture, the sides are chopped off, and there’s always some glare. Also, the quality’s not all good too. Frustrating when I go shopping for read, ggs and ilk!!!!! Come on guys sort it! ### 3/5 — A little tricky *2019-01-01, version 1.0* It’s a little tricky to learn how to take the picture properly and get the lighting correct. Also it doesn’t take a picture of your actual colored board if you have one, it substitutes its own color you choose. We chose the rainbow one to closely match my daughters board that draws in multi-color. It really needs a lit of improvement but 6 yr old daughter thought it was pretty cool. ### 2/5 — It has one thing to do *2019-01-06, version 1.0* And it fails at doing that. As with other comments the image is barely legible being quite blurred and half of it is cropped off. The app finds the corners of the image then crops around 1cm from all four edges. Can’t read the top row (days of the week) of the week planner and half memo, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday are missing on the respective left and right edges. One task. If this was a school report “must try harder” ### 2/5 — Partial Scan *2018-12-16, version 1.0* No matter how far I am from the dashboard, it will only capture 80% of the full document and that’s with leaving a 1/4 to 1/2 inch margin on all sides of the writing surface.
