I have tried reloading app but no help. Fortunately they have a contact for support which I will be using. ### 1/5 — Good camera. Terrible app *2022-11-27, version 2.3.0* I really do. It understand how this app can be so bad, when the camera is so good. Almost impossible to get a WiFi connection to the camera so end up removing the SD card and using my wife’s laptop. This app, not so much. *2023-08-30* I’ve had the Thinkware Dashcam F750 model, front and rear camera for just over 10 years, it’s a great camera and never had issues with it. This app however has always been buggy. Constant hard time connecting the dashcam to my phone via Wifi. It would eventually connect after 3-5 minutes of fiddling with it. The past few months however this just refuses to connect anymore, even when my iPhone does connect to Thinkware on Wifi, the app simply prompts I “am not connected to Wi-Fi.” It is a 10+ year old app that hasn’t been updated in a long time. I’m not sure if anyone’s looking over this app to make bug fixes anymore? If I need videos now, I just have to remove the memory card and download them to my computer. ### 1/5 — App unable to connect to wi-fi *2023-07-17* iPhone Wi-Fi under settings is connected to the dash cam, however when in this app, it is unable to connect to the Wi-Fi to access the camera. Restarted the dash cam and I could connect, however when I pressed “Continuous” in the app, it loads forever until it prompted the dash cam will restart recording due to inactivity for 2 minutes. After this, it could never connect again until I have to restart the dash cam but the same loading issue persists. Restarting my iPhone, forget and reconnect Wi-Fi connection in settings and delete and reinstalling this app does not solve the in-app’s Wi-Fi connectivity with the dash cam despite it is connected in iPhone’s Wi-Fi in iPhone Settings. Thank you. ### 5/5 — No support for ios14 *2020-11-10, version 2.3.0* Original post: It took awhile for company to catch up with ios13 support. Now ios14 is out and the app will not connect again. Update 11/10/20 With the help of Blackboxmycar where I purchased my Thinkware F770, I was able to get the app connected with the unit. I thought I should share here for people who have trouble with ios14.1 Hardware: iphoneX. Ios14.1 Steps: 1. Delete Dash Cam Viewer app and reinstall 2. Reset F770 by holding the Format + Rec buttons together for a few second until the camera starts beeping. 3. Reset the Network Settings of iPhone. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings. After above steps, power on F770 and activate WiFi. Then go to iPhone WiFi setting and look for Thinkware WiFi. Generic password is 123456789 Once WiFi is connected, start the DashCam viewer app. It will ask for permission for location service as well as access to network. This protocol did the trick for me. Thank you Thinkware team with the help! ### 5/5 — I really don’t understand, why! *2020-08-08* I am a software developer and literally appalled at so many negative reviews. I purchased this dash cam more than a year ago but never opened the packaging. I did not even bother checking if the item is undamaged and consistent with what was marketed. Due to the pandemic, out of boredom, I had it installed in my new Porsche. This dash cam works flawlessly. I have installed the Dash Cam Viewer on my PC, smartphone and will be doing it on my Mac as well. The app works amazing in both the platforms (Mac has yet to be tried). The video quality is great. The dash cam comes with ton loads of features. Lane departure, front collision, gps (which precisely tracks your vehicle location in real time), speed, etc. Its motion detection is amazing. I parked it in the parking lot of grocery store and turned this feature on. It worked great. I do want to suggest the users to update the firmware as I did. Firmware was successfully updated. I just want THINKWARE to know that they should be proud of F770 and continue to provide technical support for this product, if needed (such as: firmware updates, Dash Cam app updates). I would HIGHLY recommend this dash cam. Please feel free to reach out if I can be of any assistance.
