The turbo boost, EGT & fuel consumption gauges have been very useful for setting up a Tillix/Dawes valve turbo boost control system. One big upgrade would be the ability to display vehicle dashboards on CarPlay. I can understand if they haven’t integrated DC into CarPlay but I have to choose between the two. As in I can’t run CarPlay AND DashCommand simultaneously — choosing one WiFi network cancels the other in Settings. Heavily customised to suit my needs, and very happy with the interface - but I’ve changed to a vehicle with CarPlay, and no phone mount. I’d love to see the development of CarPlay attributes in this great app - but until then, I’ll have to make do with another OBD2 app that offers (very basic) CarPlay functionality. Anyone here who can help me. I purchase this OBD II a month ago but it is not connecting on my bluetooth. I even contacted the seller & gave me a replacement. The first one that he gave me needs a pairing code which the seller didn’t told me. When I contacted him he said I’ll try the “0000” & “1234” but unfortunately it didn’t work. Is their any way that I can make it connected? Very much appreciated if you could help me in any ways or ideas. Update Oct 2018 The app hasn’t been updated in forever. The UI is like iOS4 is back in style. Yes it works but that may not be the case going forward. When I bought my 2016 truck I had use the 2014 pids. Ended up with an Edge Insight for my diesel truck and used this in my SUV. Bought a new SUV now and have no idea if the 2014 Ford pids I bought as in-app purchase are still valid. Guess this is the new way software works, you write an app, sell it for a couple of years, and then abandon it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One of the recommended hardware adapters is the OBDLink MX Wifi...beware it has serious connectivity issues even from when it was a Kickstarter project. Yet DashCommand still recommends it. Basically with the MX DashCommand won't work. I swapped the MX for the PLX Devices Kiwi 2. It's about 1/2 the price and works great. Now I can give DashCommand an appropriate review. It works great for my application of wanting to continuously monitor a handful of engine parameters. No connectivity issues other than typical iOS mandated situations like switching to another app. I did buy an in-app purchase for vehicle specific PIDs. All in it's still way cheaper than buying physical gauges and installing them in my truck. I recommend it so long as you've got the right hardware. Through three vehicles (BMW, Toyota and Mini) and ten years most, if not all, attempts to pair app with OBDII wirelessly failed to connect. My iPhone picked up the OBDII Wifi connection but the app would not connect. Other apps connected on first attempt. I have had to delete and reinstall the app once to fix the issue of it freezing while using and then freezing on the select your device screen after restarting the app. Now, tonight while using it, it froze, dropped connection, then failed to connect to my dongle. I closed the app and tried to reopen it just to have it freeze on the select your device screen yet again. I’ve used this app three times and two of those times it has failed to work properly. Creating your own custom gauges in <1minute. Playback logged data and export to PC for analysis. The ability to leave it in obd2 port without worrying is a big plus. Others require removal that can drain battery. Support is excellent and responded on same day. Success required watching some related uTube videos. Found that constructing some gauges was a nice way to monitor and visualize relevant parameters. Would take car for test rides while continuously recording my parameters. Then safely viewing playback of gauges on iPod Touch in my driveway. Amazing number of parameters simultaneously monitored. I had selected 6 to display on gauges on virtual “Dashboard”.
