## What is Dashed Cocktail Notebook?

A cocktail recipe keeper for people who keep losing cocktail recipes.

Dashed turns the links and screenshots scattered across your phone into a clean, searchable library of cocktails you actually want to make.
-----------------------------------------
HOW IT WORKS
-----------------------------------------
1. You find a cocktail somewhere — a blog post, a bartender's Instagram reel, tik tok, reddit, a recipe site.
2. You share the link to Dashed using the iOS share sheet.
3. Dashed reads the page, pulls out the recipe, and saves it to your private library. Ingredients with proper measurements. Instructions in order. Attribution to whoever wrote it down.
4. You can edit anything, add personal notes, group recipes into collections, mark what you've tried.

-----------------------------------------
WHAT MAKES IT GOOD
-----------------------------------------

- Smart import. Cocktail recipes in the wild are messy — embedded in long blog intros, buried in Instagram captions, sometimes just a photo of a menu. Dashed handles the mess.
- My Bar. Tell Dashed what's on your shelf. Every recipe in your library gets a tag: you can make this one, you're missing two ingredients, or you're one substitution away.
- Collections. Group recipes your way. Summer Drinks. Tiki Night. Things You Bookmarked Last December. Whatever taxonomy lives in your head, Dashed will hold.
- Private by default. Your library lives on your phone. Dashed isn't a social network, doesn't republish your recipes, and never reads from your library to serve other users.
- Honest about its limits. Sometimes an extraction comes out messy. You can edit it. Sometimes a brand isn't in our catalog. You can add it.

-----------------------------------------
FREE & SUBSCRIPTION
-----------------------------------------

Dashed is free to install and use. The free tier includes 30 recipes in your library and 30 bottles in your bar so you can really put the app through its paces.

A Dashed subscription unlocks unlimited imports, server backup, plus features added throughout the subscription. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage in your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

-----------------------------------------
WHO IT'S FOR
-----------------------------------------
Home bartenders. Cocktail nerds. People who keep meaning to actually make that drink they saw on Instagram three months ago. Industry pros who want a personal reference library that isn't a Notes-app graveyard.

-----------------------------------------
Built with care by Memento Amari LLC. Made for iOS 17+.

## Frequently asked questions about Dashed Cocktail Notebook

### How does Dashed import cocktail recipes?

Dashed uses the iOS share sheet to import recipes. When you share a link from a website or social media, it intelligently reads the page to extract ingredients and instructions, saving them to your private library.

### What are the limitations of the free version of Dashed?

The free tier of Dashed allows you to save up to 30 recipes in your library and track up to 30 bottles in your home bar. This provides ample opportunity to test the app's core features.

### How do I manage my Dashed subscription?

Subscription management for Dashed can be done directly through your iPhone's Settings app. Navigate to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to view, change, or cancel your subscription.

### Can I use Dashed offline?

Your saved cocktail recipes and bar inventory are stored privately on your phone, meaning you can access them even without an internet connection. Server backup is a feature of the paid subscription.

### What does the 'My Bar' feature do in Dashed?

The 'My Bar' feature allows you to tell Dashed what ingredients you have on hand. The app then tags each recipe in your library, indicating if you can make it, are missing a few ingredients, or just need one substitution.

### Is my recipe data safe with Dashed?

Yes, Dashed prioritizes privacy. Your recipe library is stored on your phone by default and is not shared with other users. The app does not republish your recipes or use them to serve other users.

### How often is Dashed updated?

Dashed was last updated on June 8, 2026, with version 1.0.4. The developer, Memento Amari LLC, indicates features are added throughout the subscription period, suggesting ongoing development.

### What devices is Dashed compatible with?

Dashed is built for iOS 17+ and is currently supported on iPhone. Future compatibility with other devices has not been specified.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-13

1.0.5:
Bug fixes
Import improvements for some tricky recipe types
Tags - you can add tags to recipes in your library and use them for searching/filtering/collections

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-08

Two new features, a few other improvements:
- New: "Save to Dashed" in the share sheet actions row. The icon row below the apps row (next to Copy, Add to Reading List, and friends) now includes Dashed — one fewer tap from anywhere on iOS.
- New: "Re-extract from source" on any saved recipe. If an import landed messy and the importer has since improved, pull a fresh extraction without losing your notes, ratings, photos, or what-you've-made history.
- Better Instagram attribution for riff and version posts — when the person who posted a drink isn't the person who created it, both now show up where they belong.
- Imported recipes respect the source's spirit category — a Blanco Tequila stays a Blanco Tequila even when the catalog has the brand listed under a different style.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-06-03

Version 1.0.3

Bug fixes

### 1.0.2 — 2026-05-30

v1.0.2
Faster launches, better Reddit and Facebook support, and a stack of recipe-import polish fixes.

• **Reddit imports** — paste any r/cocktails link (or use Reddit's share sheet) and Dashed pulls the recipe. Facebook too.
• **Quicker launches** after the first run
• **Better duplicate handling** when adding bottles to your bar
plus a bunch of other bug fixes

### 1.0.1 — 2026-05-28

1.0.1
Some bug fixes, some improvements to my bar/adding bottles to the catalog
