This app feels more personalized because an AI wingman is finding personal matches for you. You can connect different apps, like your music or pinterest and the app will connect you with people who have similar interests. It makes it easier to start conversations. I love using Cupid ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Gender filter is nonexistent *2026-05-30* Despite my profile specifying women and my instructions to the AI asking only for women, the last 6 profiles it has shown have only been men. So far I’m not thrilled. Update: I’ve deleted my account and the app. Straight up GARBAGE ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-02-07, version 1.171* Tried chatting with Cupid and it got stuck on the first prompt. I’d answer and hit send and it just would not move on to the next question it would erase my response and ask the same thing again. Tried closing and reopening the app and it signed me out. Best part is this was after asking for access to all of my data, wanted AI analysis of my camera roll, music, health etc… Dataing more like DataMining ### 1/5 — This company is SHADY DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2025-11-04, version 1.0.11* Applied for a job with this company, it requires you to complete a job assessment, but I never heard back after doing all the work. It feels like a shady way to boost downloads and improve metrics for funding, rather than a legitimate candidate experience. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional — candidates deserve respect, not manipulation. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all *2025-08-20, version 1.0.9* This app is a complete joke. I see the value of what you’re trying to do, but they surely are not ready at all for anything because I’ve never seen one single match that I can click on let alone a man in which two like someone. The AI chatbot it’s built in has your programmed to gaslight you into believing that it’s you and not their system. This company should either pull this app off the marketplace or find investors to help them develop something that truly works! Until then, this is a big heap of garbage ### 5/5 — Deeper than a traditional dating app *2026-08-03* Dataing does a great job differentiating itself from a standard dating app. Usually on normal ones, it’s all superficial and you judge someone based on their photos and that’s mainly it. But for this, it uses personal data to pair you up with the best possible matches with cupid the matchmaker. You can ask cupid all sorts of questions as well to help with anything involving the person you want to connect with. Overall I think it’s fun, deep, and helps find exactly what you are looking for in a relationship. ### 5/5 — Interesting take on traditional dating apps *2026-07-22* I heard about this app from school and downloaded. This app uses is a nice respite from other traditional dating apps. It reduces the amount of swiping and taps needed by relying on ai generated insights. As a user, it was nice to not have to spend any time on optimizing my profile manually. The whole new interface and way of matching made it feel like I actually had a chance at finding a real connection. Cupid is such a cool feature as it feels like using AI is become more helpful in personal experiences just as much as professional. It seems to be able to read me pretty accurately without me even giving it too much information. It feels fun to have a connection based on my internal self rather than external.
