DatChat provides a private social networking experience and a secure messenger. It focuses on protecting user privacy through features like self-destructing messages, screenshot protection, and end-to-end encryption for all communications.
Key privacy features include messages and posts that self-destruct after a set time or view limit, proprietary anti-screenshot protection that notifies you if someone attempts to screenshot, and end-to-end encryption for all messages. You can also 'nuke' entire conversations to remove them from both sender and recipient devices.
DatChat offers a free version with core private messaging and social networking features. For enhanced capabilities, DatChat Pro is available through optional subscription tiers: monthly ($0.99), yearly ($9.99), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($24.99).
The provided description does not explicitly state compatibility with multiple operating systems or devices. However, it is a mobile application, implying it is designed for smartphones and tablets.
Common use cases include sending sensitive personal messages, sharing private photos and information securely, creating exclusive social groups for friends and family, and maintaining private conversations without the risk of screenshots or permanent records.
