The AR David Bowie Is app is very close to seeing again! I was searching to see if David Bowie Is happened to have new dates or was still touring, when I found a reference to the AR app. Wow! What a joy to find. Hoping still to have the exhibit go on tour again. If you want to delve into this marvelous app depicting with sights and sounds, imagery and facts, all regarding Bowie, you won’t be disappointed. It’s like being immersed into Bowie space, floating around from flower to flower, taking a sip here, a bite there, nuggets of facts, all the while surrounded by his equally fantastical music and sometimes audio excerpts from interviews etc. Tapping on most things and then using a pinching gesture outwards on a photo or item enlarges things so you can read or view them in detail. There’s so much to explore, it’s well worth the quids! ### 5/5 — Revisited this on the new iPad Pro! *2021-08-17* Absolutely stunning and fantastic use of AR. I received my new iPad Pro and this is so stunning on it!! ### 5/5 — The next best thing *2021-05-03* … to being there. I was lucky enough to see the exhibition at the V&A in its last few days. This superb app allows you to “pick up” and inspect Bowie’s hand-written lyrics, watch video, interact with cards and much more. It has even been updated to include The Next Day and Blackstar on the studio album list. This is a wonderful app if you have a recent device and wireless headphones. It has a lot of what makes the show great and more as well as great Narration by Gary Oldman and has a lot of artifacts and objects from the Starman’s entire career. It also has Music Videos, Live Shows, Costumes, Interviews and Narrations from Bowie himself and more. It left me felling Under Pressure and I love it.
