An alphabetical list of functions would be better. And nothing in the gym uses your in-app ID. Everything has to be added via a third party account. Good luck adding all 20 services. No equipment links to smart watches. It's all cloud and account based. I expect cos there's money in the data. Overall, it's just awful. ### 2/5 — Calendar Data *2026-08-24, version 152.0.0* Why does the App need full access to the iPhone calendar rather than just permission to create appointments? I can’t use the facility to transfer my session bookings to my phone calendar because I don’t want to expose all my calendar entries. Nobody should be simply clicking through to give this level of permission. 3* rating rather than 5* until is fixed. Didn’t get an answer to this so rating downgraded to 2* Should probably be just 1* as the link for app support just goes to the DL homepage. I strongly suspect the developers never read their reviews. ### 3/5 — Crash *2026-07-31, version 151.1.0* App tends to crash and become overwhelmed and dysfunctional at peak booking times which is very frustrating. Can also be misleading whether booked into class or not and appear to be successful when not actually booked. Not fit for purpose at peak use. It seems like everywhere nowadays has excessive use of videos for absolutely no reason other than to annoy anyone who is neurodivergent or generally sensitive to visual motion. ### 1/5 — App Buggy - Creche Booking *2026-08-03, version 151.1.0* love the club, but if the app crashes or if you toggle away mid creche booking you are then blocked from being able to complete the booking later. the app errors "oops this child is already in a booking at this time" which isn't true so no i can't book at all, even though there is still availability for the creche because the app errantly thinks my child is in another booking already, that does not exists ### 1/5 — New class booking proposals for app *2026-07-27, version 151.1.0* Instead of investing money in the app to improve the booking process someone has come up with the most bizarre booking process. To now have to book at random times throughout the day is simply ludicrous why does no one at David Lloyd think of the practical side of this, all this system will do is complicate the whole process for members. Why can’t a company the size of David Lloyd invest money in their app development to ensure a smooth booking process. Allocate more bandwidth or processing power? No, because that would cost money and we hold our customers in contempt.
