### 1/5 — This is an insult

*2026-06-20, version 3.6*

It is 2026. Any and every app has facial recognition login. Not DaVita secure messaging (DSM). The username/pw is obsolete in favor of two factor authentication and many other methods if not facial recognition.

All end user groups have input on the final app. Not DSM. Sure they’ll say they had nephrologists weight in - but they likely retired in 1991.

Most organizations move towards improvement in their implementation of technology. Not DSM. This is far worse than Cureatr.

Nearly all apps have settings to increase font size, view-ability. Not DSM.

Most apps have swipe to go back to proper screen. Not DSM.

All these shortcomings , I hope you saved money DaVita. It is clear your “village” has no place for nurse and doctor input.

### 1/5 — Basic messaging app with various bugs

*2026-06-18, version 3.6*

This app is suppose to be in replacement of Cureatr. Hopefully someone of these bugs/ glitches listed below can be fixed down the road and then this app would be pretty much perfect. For starters, it would be helpful if I can stayed logged in for the whole day instead of being logged out periodically. Especially as I am using this app on my phone where I have to be attentive all around the clock. When it comes to opening messages, from time to time when I have one messaging thread open it will glitch and show another thread which isn’t too helpful. Another thing is when I tap on the lock screen notification to open the message I just received it sometimes brings me to another messaging thread. Isn’t too useful there. One request for this app is to please put a light/ dark mode option. In addition, for people when I’m in the middle of composing a new message on the desktop version it would be nice to be able to still toggle through messages on the left hand side. Lastly, it be also nice to upload screenshots as an attachment when composing a new message.

### 1/5 — Please copy what Curatr had!!!

*2026-05-29, version 3.5*

First of all, I wish the text tone of this app can be switched. The current tone is not soothing to my ears. Second, this app should allow us to take pictures just like curatr. Sometimes providers can't rely solely on descriptions and needed photos of the concern, for example, like infected access. Lastly, this app should allow face ID! I always get locked out from the app, it's a hassle to log back in every time!

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-05-12, version 3.4*

It logs you out automatically, which prompts you to login every time if you want to check a message. It also kicks you out of certain conversations randomly. I’m not sure why we switched, but we need to go back to the previous messaging app.

### 1/5 — HIPPA compliance concern

*2025-11-25, version 2.8*

This app leaks confidential patient information, not to be trusted.

### 1/5 — Overstimulated RN

*2025-11-20, version 2.4*

Unlike cureatr, you can leave the conversation when the shift ends. Can’t do that with DSM! So logging out of app is the next viable option, right?
WRONG! Logged out of app but still getting notifications. After clicking on DSM icon, it prompts me to log back in. How are notifications getting through when you’re logged out?! Had to go into Apple settings and turn off notifications for this app.

### 1/5 — Patient Safety Concern

*2025-11-19, version 2.4*

The app lags a lot, and keeps saying “you have been removed from this conversation “ and it automatically logs you out for some reason.

So, when it automatically logs you out, you will not get urgent important messages from teammates and physicians causing delays in patient care and could potentially cause patient safety issues.

### 1/5 — Pct

*2025-11-13, version 2.4*

This app is not user friendly, it’s slow, hard to navigate

### 2/5 — Give me Cureatr back

*2026-05-23, version 3.4*

Logs me out after a few hours. Therefore each time I watch to check a message, I have to log back in. Can’t even use Face ID to log in. Also can’t add many Davita staff. Since it is integrated with OneView, should have a link within message to patient’s chart so when staff message you about a hgb level or TW, can reference patient’s results easily. Finally, should provide an easy way to add patient’s DKC teammates into the chat.

One thing that is better than cureatr is the ability to search old messages.

### 5/5 — FA Review

*2026-06-17, version 3.6*

App is very user friendly. Allows for Face ID login. Still learning the ends and outs but overall 5/5 right now.

## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Physician

*2026-05-06, version 3.4*

I'm fairly new to the product, but it's been working great so far. I was even able to reach out to DaVita developers and receive valuable feedback!
