### 4/5 — Great

*2023-11-22, version 2.6.2*

Great app works seamless…even in my old ipad 2….
would be nice if it had an update though

### 3/5 — Works well in Ableton

*2022-06-24, version 2.6.2*

I’ve used this in Ableton Live 11, and it works pretty well. The reason I gave it three stars, is because this app hasn’t been updated for some time, and the setup instructions are a little confusing. Mackie? Mackie Classic? What even is the difference between the two (in Ableton, not this app).

### 4/5 — I wrote a poor review then changed it to positive.

*2021-04-12, version 2.6.2*

I wasn’t getting some features at first, but restarted my iPad and now everything is working quite well in Digital Performer

### 5/5 — Works perfectly with Ableton

*2020-10-31, version 2.6.2*

Can automate any control ,volumen, sends, plugins, etc, in session view.
Just a matter of setup.

### 5/5 — Digital Performer Friendly

*2020-06-27, version 2.6.2*

Have had pretty good results reconfiguring the app for DP.

Much better than other controllers I have tried.
Transport works great and have got quite a lot of the buttons to work.

Very pleased with this app and recommend.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly love it.

*2020-01-23, version 2.6.2*

Once the initial setup is done...Logic doesn’t find this automatically.....and it’s a bit fiddle every time to use with Logic Pro x....otherwise it works fine. Love the seperate screen just for transport controls.excellent! One thing, would love to see a more metallic skin, other texture styles would be great. Thanks

### 3/5 — Update pls.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t bother for Luna

*2025-03-31, version 2.6.2*

Lame it freezes as soon as it opens

### 1/5 — Unfortunately unusable

*2025-01-24, version 2.6.2*

I purchased this app to hopefully use as a remote for Luna. I see it hasn’t been updated in a while so I wanted to give my recent experience. The app loads up fine, however, it immediately stalls and locks up after you touch anything on screen. You can touch something once, but trying to touch anything after that causes the app to freeze and the only thing you can is close it. The settings button doesn’t work at all even if it’s the first thing you touch. I’m glad it wasn’t expensive as it was a complete waste of money on the current iOS. I recommend you find something else.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work in newer OS’s

*2024-11-09, version 2.6.2*

Doesn’t work at all in Sequioa and newest iPad OS

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love It

*2023-08-27, version 2.6.2*

Got this app to try out in Ableton, the setup process with the provided user guide took about 10-30 seconds to setup, might be diff for others (depending on skill set). Enabling the wireless midi setup gets kinda tedious, but this works and makes me feel like a DJ. Overall a very clean app, and used this to record for my booth separated from my pc, so this helps a lot!! 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Works Well in Reaper in 2023!

*2023-08-07, version 2.6.2*

I was a little wary of this app because of its age but it works excellently in Reaper once you set up your action list! Way nicer than spending $100 on a single fader

### 5/5 — Straight out of the box

*2023-01-06, version 2.6.2*

Only half an hour since I got this going with DP11,but I had to report how easy it is install and get up and running. I was expecting a much longer haul, and I will need to investigate thoroughly, but just to get transport and faders smoothly working was a delight!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2022-12-31, version 2.6.2*

Using RPTMidi and this app, it has been easy to record and adjust levels from the drum set.

Note: once RPTMidi was setup, I did have to restart the app to get the host computer to recognize the iPad.

### 5/5 — Top class app

*2022-09-11, version 2.6.2*

Excellent layout, packed with features the other surface controller apps don’t have but the absolute best thing is the scrub wheel - absolutely mm perfect. I read all the reviews first but at £3+ i thought i’d give it a try. Worth every penny. I used to use Logic remote and IP control but this beats them all

### 5/5 — Works with Adobe Premiere 2022, M1 Monterey, and original iPad 1!

*2022-05-07, version 2.6.2*

So happy to find this app in May 2022, that works on my original iPad 1 as a Mackie control surface for Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 in Monterey on an M1 Ultra Mac Studio. Great way to repurpose an obsolete iPad!

I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, but it does seem to transmit time code, audio track names, audio track and overall mix faders work, and playback transport controls. "Global" button switches between Audio Clip Mixer and Audio Track Mixer.

I did have trouble connecting the iPad into the MIDI session, until I disabled IPv6 on my Mac. The error I was getting was: [IPv6 address] "didn't respond to the connection request. Check the address and port, and any firewall or router settings. (16:41:21)" To fix it, in System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced... > TCP/IP > "Configure IPv6:" change from "Automatically" to "Manually".

I definitely want to check out the developer's other app MIDI Studio Pro which also says it works on iPad 1. Hope Apple doesn't purge this from the App Store, it still works fine!

I also tested the app on my new iPad Mini 6 which has a new screen size, unfortunately the app doesn't fill the screen. But it does seem to work well otherwise on iOS 15. I hope the developer will update the app to support new iPad screen sizes. Thanks for continuing to keep this app available!

### 5/5 — great app

*2022-02-14, version 2.6.2*

hits the spot!
Great doc guided the connection process and all was good thereafter!

### 5/5 — Works great.

*2021-05-23, version 2.6.2*

Ive been looking to find some control surface for ableton this works perfect. I love it.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2021-03-26, version 2.6.2*

Este controlador funciona perfectamente con Reaper. Una vez conecta es totalmente funcional e interactúa con los controles de reaper perfectamente y sin delay..me encanta...

### 5/5 — Love it on Ableton.

*2021-02-26, version 2.6.2*

I’ve used this on Ableton Live 8,9,10 and now pulling on 11. So a few years now and really love it. Trouble free. Integrates with my Focusrite Clarett 8Pre usb perfectly. I am able to walk away from the desk, walk to the performance area and run the whole session from my iPad. If I am also performing I can put the iPad on a music stand then monitor and control the session perfectly. If you are used to MCU control this has the look and feel of a hardware unit with the advantage of portability any where you are as long as you are in the same network. I can make changes on this and see my Icon Qcon Pro G3 following along in the control room. Beautiful. Indispensable for my workflow. Cheers and keep up the good work!
