## What is Dawnlet?

Your calendar knows your meetings. Another app knows your habits. A third knows what you spent. None of them know what your Tuesday actually looks like.

Dawnlet keeps all of it in one place and shows you one day at a time — then stays quiet.

ONE DAY, MODULE BY MODULE
Page through a week or month, tap a day, and see it in sections, one per module. Reorder or hide them.

EVENTS AND TODOS
One-off and repeating events, timed or all-day, with locations and notes. Todos with due dates, and repeating ones on weekly, monthly or nth-weekday schedules. Skip one occurrence; the series carries on.

HABITS AND STREAKS
Every day, or specific weekdays. Streaks come from the days you actually did it. Skip a day on purpose without breaking the chain.

MONEY
Income and expenses by category, and monthly budgets. Recurring transactions generate each month's bills. Lock the module behind Face ID, which strips amounts from notifications too.

TIME TRACKING
A live timer with real pause segments, so totals stay honest. Switch activities in one tap and edit or backdate sessions.

THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Movies to watch, books to read, places to go — each with a planned date, a rating and who you did it with. And the people in your life.

JOURNAL
As many entries a day as you like, with bold and italic and an optional mood. Search everything, and revisit this day in past years.

MEALS AND GRATITUDES
What you ate and how it was, and a line about what went right — logged from the day itself.

REMINDERS THAT KEEP WORKING
27 kinds of notification, each toggleable, with quiet hours. Two weeks are armed at a time, so a week away doesn't make the app go silent. All computed on your device.

EVERYWHERE YOU ARE
Widgets for today, and your running timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Ask Siri or use Shortcuts and the Action button to start a timer, add a todo, check off a habit or log an expense. Find anything from Spotlight, and share text or links from any app straight into Dawnlet. On Apple Watch, see today's events, tick habits and todos off and run the timer.

BUILT FOR EVERYONE
VoiceOver throughout, charts with Audio Graphs, Reduce Motion, clearer light-mode text, larger tap targets, keyboard shortcuts on iPad — and Undo after you delete something.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY
You sign in with Apple. Dawnlet stores an internal account ID, the email Apple provides — a private relay address if you chose Hide My Email — and your name if you shared it. Nothing else, and none of it for marketing or profiling. No third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no tracking. Apple Calendar and Reminders are read on your device only, never uploaded; contacts you choose to import become people in your account. Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, immediately.

WHAT'S FREE, WHAT'S PLUS
Free is a complete app: the agenda, events, todos, habits, money with monthly totals and Face ID lock, time tracking, journaling with search, meals, gratitudes, places, books, movies, people, Apple Calendar and Reminders in your agenda, and core reminders. Keep up to 500 habits, todos, activities, places, books and movies each, everything else unlimited, and read back every day you recorded.

Dawnlet Plus is the layer that makes sense of it: month insights on every module, reports across any date range with PDF export, CSV and JSON export, Plan My Week and Plan My Month, repeating todos, events and bills, spending breakdowns and budgets, journal "on this day", Apple Calendar write-back, Apple Contacts import and updates, weekly and monthly recaps, and no item cap. It is an auto-renewable subscription: Dawnlet Plus Monthly is $3.99 for one month, and Dawnlet Plus Yearly is $34.99 for one year — about $2.92 a month. Both start with a 14-day free trial; cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Terms of Service: https://dawnlet.app/tos/ — Privacy Policy: https://dawnlet.app/privacy/

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-05

URGENT BUG FIXES
FIXED
  • A crash when the guided tour opened by itself on a new account's first launch.
  • Todos that repeat on "the Nth weekday of the month" can be saved again.
  • A repeating todo or event can't lose its schedule if the connection drops while saving.
  • iPad insights no longer break labels mid-word or cut off mood names.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-04

Siri and Shortcuts, your timer on the Lock Screen, Spotlight, Share to Dawnlet, undo — and a big accessibility update.

NEW
• Your running timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with Pause and Stop buttons.
• Siri, Shortcuts and the Action button: start, pause and stop timers, add a todo, check off a habit, log your mood or an expense, and open any screen.
• Control Center controls: a timer toggle and Quick Add.
• Spotlight: find your todos, habits, people, events, places, books, movies, meals, gratitudes and activities from your device's search. Journal entries and transactions only if you turn them on, and never while Finance is locked.
• Handoff: pick up the same screen or item on your other iPhone or iPad.
• Share to Dawnlet: send text or a web link from any app straight into a todo, book, movie, place or journal entry.
• Undo: delete a todo, event, journal entry, gratitude, meal, person, place, book, movie or transaction and an Undo button appears for a few seconds.
• Long-press any row (or right-click on iPad) for everything a swipe does, plus Edit — and Duplicate for meals and transactions. Journal entries and people show a preview.
• Search People, Todos and your Places, Books and Movies lists, and Browse search now finds meals, gratitudes, activities and transaction notes. Tap a matching tag to see everything with it.
• Drag a repeating todo or event onto another day in Agenda to move just that occurrence.
• Jump to any day in the Journal tab, or back to today.
• The tour's first three moves are now shortcuts straight to where they happen.
• Tips for hidden features, at most one a day — reset them from Settings.

IMPROVED
• Works offline: your agenda, habits, todos, events and Browse show what was there last time, with a banner while you're offline.
• If something can't load or save, a short message says so instead of an empty screen or a pop-up.
• Editors keep your typing: no accidental swipe-away, Cancel asks first, and Save only saves once, with a spinner.
• Haptics when you check something off, delete something, or start, pause or stop the timer.
• Placeholders while screens load, faster tab switching, and Agenda only loads the month you're on.
• Browse has its name as its title, with your greeting underneath. Settings is tidied up, with clearer names.
• "Open app on", "Agenda opens on" and "Finance opens on", and an Overview | Transactions switch in Finance.
• Empty months in Places, Books and Movies point at your bucket list.
• The Dawnlet Plus page lists everything Plus includes.

ACCESSIBILITY
• VoiceOver reads check-offs and whether they're done, streaks and habit weeks in words, every calendar day with its date and what's on it, and every chart with a summary and Audio Graphs.
• Section headings for the rotor, labels on every button, and new badges announced.
• VoiceOver on Apple Watch: every screen and complication labelled, timers read in words, check-offs announced.
• Reduce Motion is honoured everywhere, and you can tap to skip the launch animation.
• Clearer text in light mode that meets contrast guidelines, with Increase Contrast support.
• Larger tap areas on small buttons, and star ratings as one adjustable control.

IPAD
• Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘1–⌘5 switch tabs, ⌘N adds, ⌘F searches, ⌘T controls the timer, ⌘← ⌘→ page, Esc and ⌘Return in editors. Hold ⌘ to see them all.
• Drag todos and events onto a day to move them, and drop text or links onto Todos, Books or Movies to add them.
• Two columns whenever the window is wide enough, pointer highlights, and Browse puts this week first.

FIXED
• Long histories stay accurate past a thousand check-ins, entries or items.
• Reminders survive opening the app with no connection.
• The right day after travelling, and the right year on non-Gregorian calendars.
• Unticking a habit on a past day, Sunday-first habit weeks, and amounts saved to the cent.
• Tags and companions save all at once, and failed changes are rolled back.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-03

A redesigned Apple Watch app, Browse, and every module in the iPad sidebar.

NEW
• A redesigned Apple Watch app: four tiles — Events, Habits, Todos and Timers — each showing where things stand at a glance. Today's events are on the Watch for the first time.
• Examples across the whole app for new accounts: habits, todos, events, places, books, movies, a month of spending with budgets, and more.

CHANGED
• Dashboard is now Browse: your week at a glance, plus a tile for every module and Settings. Search is always at the top, and finds modules and settings too.
• Notification settings follow your account across devices and reinstalls.
• Examples never count toward badges, and Settings → Sample data removes the unused ones in one go.
• The setup banner asks whether to keep or delete the examples.
• Journal entries are set in the app's typeface.
• Screen titles follow your text size straight away.
• Apple Watch actions update your iPhone's timer reminders and streak milestones immediately.
• Habits starts at today and works back through the month.

IPAD
• Every module in the sidebar, grouped, with Notifications and Settings at the bottom.
• More two-column layouts in landscape: Habits, People, Settings, Streaks, Badges and Reports.
• Filters beside the list for Notifications, search, bucket lists and recurring items.
• Each tab's buttons sit beside the tab bar.

FIXED
• All-day events no longer linger into the next day.
• Insights tiles no longer cut off their labels in landscape.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-02

A Journal tab, a new Dashboard, streaks and badges — and a much better iPad.

NEW
• Journal tab: a one-tap daily mood check-in, the day's entries and gratitudes, and your full journal a tap away.
• Your daily mood in Agenda too, with the option to show it under each day in the calendar.
• A new Dashboard: how this week compares with last for habits, todos, time, spending, journaling, gratitudes and mood.
• Streaks for every habit, journaling, gratitudes and mood check-ins.
• Badges to earn as you go, with a celebration when you reach one.
• A short guided tour for new accounts, any time from Settings.
• Search everything by pulling the Dashboard down.
• A tab bar that shrinks as you scroll, with an accessory you choose: running timer, up next, today's progress, quick add, next habit or today's spending.
• Your own color and icon for any item.
• Delete one occurrence or a whole series from a swipe.
• New reminders for a timer left running or paused, and for streak milestones.
• Empty lists now add the first item when you tap them.

IPAD
• People and Settings in the sidebar.
• Two-column layouts in landscape for Agenda, Finance, Time, Journal, Events and every month screen.

IMPROVED
• New typefaces throughout, and cards with more depth.
• Agenda's calendar dots show the day's real items.
• Cleaner movie, book and place rows, and every swipe action on one side.

FIXED
• No more sign-in errors after the app sits in the background.
• Clearing a field while editing now actually clears it.
• Deleting your account now also revokes Sign in with Apple.
