UI is basic. Not very intuitive but options are so limited that it doesn’t require much experimentation to figure out. The one HUGE problem is not being able to cancel classes in the app. Oops! ### 3/5 — So-so at best *2025-11-21* I am a new user, but so far I’ve found a few significant problems. First, it can’t seem to decide whether to operate in portrait or landscape mode on my iPad. It starts out in landscape fine, but then abruptly just turns to portrait, even though the iPad didn’t move. Second, the date selector on the Schedule page will say one thing, but clicking on a class takes me to a completely different date. Third, it’s hard to tell if I’m already signed up. The whole “Daxko Mobile” naming is kinda weird but at least it changes its own app icon once you select your YMCA, so you can recognize the app on your phone. It has schedules and, if you want, notifications about closures and cancellations. That’s helpful (adjust app notification settings to your own preference, I guess). But it excels at the one thing I really need from it: as I’m walking up to the Y, I pull out my phone and there’s a well-timed notification waiting for me so I can simply tap to open the barcode to scan in. This is SO helpful. I try to keep my pockets as empty as possible, especially when headed to the gym. So being able to easily sign in with my phone instead of carrying an extra card on my person 24/7 is really appreciated. Maybe they fixed the bugs that everyone complained about? Or I haven’t experienced them yet. Either way, it’s been great so far. ### 5/5 — Works fine for me *2024-01-02* I’m wondering if the app works fine and some of the locations don’t have their data loaded to the app. I signed up at ymca in Louisville KY and I had no problem utilizing the app to see the schedule of my locations and view programs to sign up for.
