the first thing i check before installing any app is how the developer uses my data. if the app is scraping everything but my tongue, its a hard pass for me (unless the app is required for a connected device that requires an app to function).

it’s very rare to find a great app that doesn’t collect user data. Day Glance Pro Calendar is one of those rare finds. i’m currently touring the app on the 14-day trial and look forward to comparing its features with the in-built apple apps. so far, i like seeing everything in one place (especially weather!).

highly recommend!

**Developer response:** I also look at security before downloading apps and always wonder why?  That is what drove building something that keeps data 100% on device, never phones home, works without you giving access (except kind of need the calendar).  I never give apps access to my contacts.  Day Glance Pro does ask for that (but it is optional).  Only thing we use for contacts is displaying a little photo of the person (if in your contacts) when showing meetings and the ability to create a new contact from someone in your meeting that isn't in your contact list.  Again, everything functions without this access and everything remains 100% on device and always will.
